I love the set up of this venue! The band playing was kind of a fusion of Jazz and Bluegrass. The volume was lively (I wore my earplugs), but still at a level where I could converse with my friend. I had a few drinks, and they were TOP NOTCH. When I run into a place that supposedly has good drinks, I have to order a Last Word. They nailed it. I ordered some food as well, and decided to go with the cheeseburger (note that it doesn't come with fries, and the fries are super pricy). Stumbled upon this place one evening by friends taking me here and I have to say this was a really cool chill spot. Great spot to bring a date or hang with some friends and chit chat. The inside is small, used to be a restaurant back in the day but they do sell some small bites. We had a basket of fries and they were double crispy they tasted so good after a few drinks. Came here with a friend on a Friday night, and enter the bar before the sun went down so we were able to get a nice sitting area. Loved the music this bar played as it was throwback tunes. The vibe reminds me of 1970s decor. There isn't a server that comes to your table to take your order, so you do have to walk up to the bartender to place an order, which didn't bother me. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich and fries, and I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The fries are incredibly delicious, with perfect seasoning, and the right amount of crisp. The grilled cheese was so delicious, as it's made on sourdough bread with a hint of sea salt on top. The tomato soup to dip it in was icing on the cake. Went on Sunday afternoon for brunch. There were no servers, just one bartender with no table service. For a place that advertises as having "actual brunch" you'd think they have actual, hot coffee. No. They only have cold brew which wasn't terrible, save the exorbitant price. The food was mediocre at best. My girlfriend had the piri piri chicken sandwich and it was dry as a bone. The breakfast burrito tasted a whole lot better than it looked and it only tasted okay. Perhaps evening service is far better, but I would not recommend Inglewood Lounge for brunch. Snarky service, mushroom wallpaper, and 70s decor in an old Ms. Winners, what more could you want in an East Nashville bar? I can't wait to go back. I ordered off the menu and the drinks were alright (apps were tasty), but our friends ordered a bartender's choice drink (not on the menu but they just asked) and all of their drinks were wonderful. I will definitely be ordering some this way when I go back. One other thing I loved was that they use all different types of glasses for their cocktails. Fun! I went here for a nice Saturday night with the wife and we've decided we're going to be regulars! Seriously, this place is so good! The quality of their cocktails is always better than you think it would be, especially for the price ($8-11). They aren't as inexpensive as Walden but Inglewood Lounge uses quality liquors to make balanced, tasty drinks for us Inglewood-ians to enjoy. Inglewood Lounge is an intimate joint with a mix of mid-century modern and tropical plants for decor. They have cocktails, inexpensive wine options, and a small but decent beer list to enjoy. The service and atmosphere here are super laid back and it always seems like the staff is actually happy to have you join them for a drink. You will be happy you joined them for a drink. For tonight's selection, I had a Black Manhattan and my wife had a Bee's Knees. Both were balanced but strong, flavorful but not overpowering, and all around solid drink options. The Bee's Knees (Gin, Honey, Lemon Juice) was bright, floral, and spring-y with a good gin backbone to carry the drink. The Black Manhattan, which I've had more than once from here, is one of the best whiskey drinks I've had in Nashville, driven my a cherry-infused taste profile. The food list is small but great and echos their drink list. They invest more in quality than quantity and create things they would want to consume, thus creating things customers want. Currently, there are carnitas tacos (so dang good!) and nachos on the menu along with polenta tater tots, piri piri chicken, and marinated olives. Like I said, not many options but each item is good. If you go, get the tacos and the nachos. The nachos aren't super heavy and have a good roasted pepper-driven queso sauce on them along with cilantro crema. Pros: Quality Quality Quality Cons: Can get a bit quiet in here. The food menu is also pretty small and I wish they'd bring back the poutine they used to have on the menu. Overall: Such a fun spot to have in the neighborhood. Their drinks rival anyone else's in town and it's much easier to get a table and happy service here than some of the other spots around. It's a tiny little place, but this hidden gem needs to be your new favorite hangout immediately! The decor is great. Dim lighting with plants all around, fun brightly colored wallpaper, and 60's furniture. The lounge furniture was very comfortable and great for sitting around and talking with friends. This would be the perfect date spot. At first I thought this place was just a cocktail bar, but Inglewood Lounge is really the bar front for the catering company Actual Food who serves a small menu out of the back. We got the beet salad with goat cheese and pistachios ($5) and it was DELICIOUS. Sour, slightly sweet, earthy, creamy, it hit all the right notes. For drinks I got the pomegranate shrub ($9) which tasted like a pomegranate kombucha with vodka, sour and sweet and yummy. It was so good that when my drink was finished I ordered a second. My husband got a few beers, Sierra Nevada on draft for $5, Miller High Life bottle $3. Prices here are very reasonable, service was exceptional, and the vibe is just cool as hell. We sat and talked with Yohan, the manager/bartender, for a good while and I felt like I was just chilling in his living room and having a great time. They also have a small outdoor patio. Boom! If you're reading this now, you're too late. Inglewood Lounge started off on the right foot and word of mouth/loyalty have only increased as the days have gone on. It really is as great as you've heard. It's also as small as you've heard. The place is small and if you plan on coming on a peak day at a peak time, you, likely, won't get in. The powers that be aren't being rude; they're just adhering to the fire code. When it comes to the name/description, don't think 'lounge' as in dark nooks, fancy clothes and a scene. Think 'lounge' like 'I'm lounging at my buddy's place. He just happens to be an expert mixologist and a great cook. But, you know. We're chillin'.' It's that kind of lounge. But if you come on an off night at an off time (and only with one other person; this space isn't good for groups), plan on having a fantastic experience. First off, the decor is '70s adjacent. I don't know what that means exactly; it just came to me. The vibe of the place reminds me of Bruno Mars' current musical identity. I think that makes sense. Think about it. It's just cool. The wallpaper is cool. The tables and chairs are cool. The shape and design (repurposed) is cool. This is just a cool spot. Cool. Not trendy. Not sceney. Cool. And what do you do in cool places? You drink. And, even the drinking is cool at Inglewood Lounge. You could have beer or wine. Or you could dip into the curated mezcal and/or whiskey collection. OR you could lean in to the vibe of the lounge and leave your choice up to the bartender. That's what I did. Twice. And two times I tasted something out of this world. The bartender will ask you for a spirit ('gin' the first time, followed by 'rum'), a flavor profile ('subtle' and 'sweet') and a POV ('new' and 'classic'). That's it. Just sit back and wait for something crazy good. Now do you understand why this is a small place? Such a cocktail program isn't scaleable. These drinks take a long time because they are particular to you. Y'see? Good. I knew you'd get it. Before you take a sip of the beautiful cocktail in front of you, take some time to look at the glassware. Both drinks were served in unique and appropriate glassware. It's the details. They matter. If you must have some food in your belly (unique drinks and good conversation isn't enough?), IL has you covered. I wanted to dive face first into the poutine but rouxs are never gluten-free friendly so, no. Don't cry for me, though. The carnitas tacos are truth. At $7 for 3, these tacos are packed with flavor (seasoned meat, pickled red cabbage and salsa verde). I almost ordered another 3 but I kept my inner fattie in check. I've heard good things about the s'mores waffle (because, how could I not?) but I didn't feel like torturing myself with look don't touch. I couldn't have been happier with my experience at IL. Again, even when I happened in on it a few weeks ago, it was already straining at the seams. By now, it's got to be ass-to-elbows every night. If by some chance I happen to catch them on a slow night, I'll call a rideshare and let the bartender take me on a SPIRITual journey I'll be sure to remember for years. I'm writing this review from my cozy corner table at Inglewood Lounge's soft opening. I'm in looooove. From the mid century decor to the delightful small plates to the mix of classic cocktails and affordable macro beers, this place has it all. Staff is very attentive in an unobtrusive way despite every table and stool being occupied and the place being BRAND spanking new. I've been a fan of Dan's food, from his catering to his awesome Actual Brunch pop ups, for years, so I knew the small plates wouldn't disappoint. The marinated olives are the BEST I've ever had in my entire life. The poutine, topped with mushroom gravy and cheese curds, needed something - a little more zing or a bit saucier perhaps. The fries themselves were fantastic. There's no cocktail menu, just a list of whiskeys and mezcals, four wines (red, white, rosé, sparkling), three macro bottled beers, and Sierra Nevada on tap. I ordered an old fashioned and was asked if I wanted bourbon or rye, a question I always appreciate (the answer is rye). No complaints regarding my cocktail. Hanging out in the former Mrs. Winners, with wall to wall mid century details, feels like hanging out in the living room of your coolest friend. Plenty of young children hanging out on my visit.
