    Hot Honey Wings
    Bruce W.

In town for work, I stopped by Noir after a few coworkers mentioned they had visited the week before and couldn't wait to go back. I'll admit, I thought they might have been exaggerating, but after experiencing it for myself, I can confidently say this is the best place I've eaten in Nashville. I've been here for two weeks, trying a variety of spots, and nothing else has come close. I arrived during happy hour and decided to sample a few items. The lamb chops were easily the best I've ever had, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also tried the hot honey wings, which were outstanding, along with a side of Brussels sprouts tossed in sweet Thai chili sauce. The wings were so good, I ended up ordering ten more, had to do it. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with great music and an overall enjoyable vibe. They offer bar, table, and bench seating, which adds to the flexibility of the space. Our waitress, Alexis, was exceptional, attentive, efficient, and handled our party of seven with ease. Hands down, this has been the best dining experience I've had since arriving in Nashville. Kudos to Team Noir.

I found this place on TikTok and was really excited to try it. We made reservations for 1:00 PM, but we didn't receive our food until almost 2:00 PM. I understand they ran out of several menu items because of the R&B concert, and I can appreciate that. However, our waiter had a poor attitude, which made the experience even worse. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The mac and cheese was not good, and the collard greens were extremely salty. On top of that, the dishes and utensils weren't clean--my friend had to send her fork back three different times. I genuinely enjoy supporting Black-owned businesses, but this experience was very disappointing. The food was overpriced for the quality and service we received. Sadly, I won't be returning.

The stuffed chicken was so amazing that I'm attempting to recreate it at home. It was seasoned to perfection. The yams were delicious. The only thing I didn't really like was the mac & cheese. My friend had the cajun pasta with shrimp and said it was amazing as well. My other friend got the lamb chops. This place has people coming in and out so I recommend reserving a seat. We were fortunate seats at the bar were available. The staff was so friendly. I wanted a cocktail, but I was the designated driver :) Their A/C was not working properly, but it wasn't too bad. They had a big fan. Outdoor seating was available. I parked on the street. There's a small lot on one side of the place. I would go again if I'm in the area.

I had the shrimp and grits, and my food was good not too salty. I loved my drink; however, my friends did not care for their food. They did not like the pancakes and said they tasted like hoe cakes. When the manager was asked about the sweetness of the pancakes, her response was, "Is that on the menu?" Our waitress was great. My other friend had the salmon bowl and described it as having several different flavors, with the sauce overpowering the dish. I also tasted both dishes and they were just okay. They do have paid parking available. I also had a side if cheese eggs that was okay. But the shrimp and grits was great.

Noir was my first stop after I touched down in Nashville and it was a solid choice! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted at the door, and all the ladies were friendly and welcoming. The music was at the perfect level you could actually hear the conversation at your table, which I appreciated. Our waitress did a good job. She was a little inattentive at times, but nothing that ruined the experience. I ordered the chicken wings and mac & cheese. I'd give the wings an 8/10 and the mac & cheese a 7/10. The decor was really nice and gave the place a great vibe. Would I come back? Absolutely. Next time, I'd like to check it out during dinner to see how the atmosphere and menu compare.

Chill atmosphere with great drinks! The bartender was by herself and it did get a little busy at one point, but she was still nice and friendly and was attentive to every one.

The food was incredible! I would go back to try more of their menu over and over but the service left a bit to be desired. The AC was out in the restaurant and while they did their best with portable units it was a little warm still. We also had a 7pm reservation that I tried to push back multiple times and was told no. However, when we arrived at 7pm on the dot we waited at least 20 minutes to be seated- annoying, but gave us time for some pictures and chatting. The service was quick and the delicious food made up for the places they were lacking. The manger even came to check up on us and get feedback which was appreciated!

If you're visiting Nashville, Noir Kitchen & Cocktails should absolutely be on your list. A very special friend of mine who lives in Nashville recommended this spot, and I trusted his judgment, and I'm so glad I did. I had tried to visit during my very first trip to Nashville in May 2026 with friends, but we couldn't get in. On my recent solo trip, I checked their website, found a brunch reservation available, and finally got to experience it for myself. First, I love supporting Black-owned businesses, and Noir did not disappoint. The restaurant has an upscale feel with intimate lighting and beautiful décor, sitting perfectly on the corner. One quick tip for first-time visitors: when you walk in, be sure to turn left to check in. It's easy to miss, but once I found it, I was seated right away. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and was one of the first guests, and everyone I encountered was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Now let's talk about the food. I'm actually trying to cut back on bread, but those warm, fluffy biscuits were calling my name! Served with honey butter and strawberry jam, they were the perfect size and absolutely worth every bite. For my entrée, I ordered the fried catfish and grits. The catfish had the perfect crispy crunch, and the grits were seasoned beautifully. Every bite was flavorful. And then there was the white sangria...without question, one of the best sangrias I've ever had. It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and paired wonderfully with brunch. From the atmosphere to the service, food, and drinks, this was an outstanding experience. Noir Kitchen & Cocktails has definitely earned a spot on my list of places I'll return to whenever I'm back in Nashville. If you're in town, do yourself a favor and make a reservation, you won't regret it!

Perfect spot for Sunday brunch before heading back to Huntsville. We made a reservation so we were seated quickly. The service was good for them to be so busy. The food was absolutely divine. The lobster tails fried and broiled were melt in your mouth delicious. The soul food sides were very good. I can't wait to come back to eat here again

Great food. They have an awesome happy hour. I really like the grilled oysters and lamb chops. The Brussel sprouts are my favorite side. Our server was great. Free parking is a plus as well. Great music and ambiance.

Noir is always going to deliver a delicious brunch and with the newly renovated interior design update, it's so cute too! The service was a little slow, but our food was fresh and yummy. We had a little bit of everything and I'd go back, but only with smaller groups.

We made reservations over a month ago d/t the popularity of this restaurant and I'm so glad we did! Check-in was a breeze and they walk you through the process of validating your parking. We were seated within 5mins of arrival which was amazing considering the # of ppl waiting. Our food was a 9/10, but I wasn't a fan of the candied yams. Everything else from the pasta, crab claws, spinach dip and the Mac and cheese was very flavorful and seasoned to perfection. Our server Tyler was immaculate and very knowledgeable about the menu. Manager Kalia was also very personable and made several rounds to check on guest. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and it is definitely worth another visit.

Southern comfort food at its finest. This will for sure have you leaning and catching the itis. Went in the afternoon for late lunch early dinner and it wasn't too crowded when we first arrived, but it's not a huge space so I def can see how this place can get crowded. Chill ambiance overall and the staff for very helpful. Yams and collard greens ranked high for what we ordered followed by the cornbread. The lamb and the catfish are solid mains, but the sides are where it's att.

Had my pre Birthday Happy Hour with Courtney with the waves. Amazing service and conversation.

When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

An open kitchen with a wood-burning grill sends heat and aroma across the floor, so the whole space feels alive and warm at once. The staff matched the setting, gracious and sharp from hello to goodbye. The food kept pace. The sausage and cheddar biscuits earn every word of their reputation, we could have made a meal of them. We ate family style, which is the move here, passing everything so the whole table got a taste. Tara's halibut was the runaway favorite, our server called it his top pick on the menu and he nailed it. The mac and cheese and the brussels sprouts vanished fast, and the tri-tip with spaghetti squash and the delmonico rounded out a generous spread. My one small miss was the fried chicken, flavorful but a touch dry, the lone soft note of the night. The carrot cake ice cream cake split the table down the middle, though nobody walked away disappointed. Four stars, with only that dry chicken keeping it from a clean sweep.
