In town for work, I stopped by Noir after a few coworkers mentioned they had visited the week before and couldn't wait to go back. I'll admit, I thought they might have been exaggerating, but after experiencing it for myself, I can confidently say this is the best place I've eaten in Nashville. I've been here for two weeks, trying a variety of spots, and nothing else has come close. I arrived during happy hour and decided to sample a few items. The lamb chops were easily the best I've ever had, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also tried the hot honey wings, which were outstanding, along with a side of Brussels sprouts tossed in sweet Thai chili sauce. The wings were so good, I ended up ordering ten more, had to do it. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with great music and an overall enjoyable vibe. They offer bar, table, and bench seating, which adds to the flexibility of the space. Our waitress, Alexis, was exceptional, attentive, efficient, and handled our party of seven with ease. Hands down, this has been the best dining experience I've had since arriving in Nashville. Kudos to Team Noir.
I found this place on TikTok and was really excited to try it. We made reservations for 1:00 PM, but we didn't receive our food until almost 2:00 PM. I understand they ran out of several menu items because of the R&B concert, and I can appreciate that. However, our waiter had a poor attitude, which made the experience even worse. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The mac and cheese was not good, and the collard greens were extremely salty. On top of that, the dishes and utensils weren't clean--my friend had to send her fork back three different times. I genuinely enjoy supporting Black-owned businesses, but this experience was very disappointing. The food was overpriced for the quality and service we received. Sadly, I won't be returning.
The stuffed chicken was so amazing that I'm attempting to recreate it at home. It was seasoned to perfection. The yams were delicious. The only thing I didn't really like was the mac & cheese. My friend had the cajun pasta with shrimp and said it was amazing as well. My other friend got the lamb chops. This place has people coming in and out so I recommend reserving a seat. We were fortunate seats at the bar were available. The staff was so friendly. I wanted a cocktail, but I was the designated driver :) Their A/C was not working properly, but it wasn't too bad. They had a big fan. Outdoor seating was available. I parked on the street. There's a small lot on one side of the place. I would go again if I'm in the area.

They do have paid parking available. I also had a side if cheese eggs that was okay. But the shrimp and grits was great.

First, I love supporting Black-owned businesses, and Noir did not disappoint. The restaurant has an upscale feel with intimate lighting and beautiful décor, sitting perfectly on the corner. One quick tip for first-time visitors: when you walk in, be sure to turn left to check in. It's easy to miss, but once I found it, I was seated right away. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and was one of the first guests, and everyone I encountered was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Now let's talk about the food. I'm actually trying to cut back on bread, but those warm, fluffy biscuits were calling my name! Served with honey butter and strawberry jam, they were the perfect size and absolutely worth every bite. For my entrée, I ordered the fried catfish and grits. The catfish had the perfect crispy crunch, and the grits were seasoned beautifully. Every bite was flavorful. And then there was the white sangria...without question, one of the best sangrias I've ever had. It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and paired wonderfully with brunch. From the atmosphere to the service, food, and drinks, this was an outstanding experience. Noir Kitchen & Cocktails has definitely earned a spot on my list of places I'll return to whenever I'm back in Nashville. If you're in town, do yourself a favor and make a reservation, you won't regret it!
Perfect spot for Sunday brunch before heading back to Huntsville. We made a reservation so we were seated quickly. The service was good for them to be so busy. The food was absolutely divine. The lobster tails fried and broiled were melt in your mouth delicious. The soul food sides were very good. I can't wait to come back to eat here again
We made reservations over a month ago d/t the popularity of this restaurant and I'm so glad we did! Check-in was a breeze and they walk you through the process of validating your parking. We were seated within 5mins of arrival which was amazing considering the # of ppl waiting. Our food was a 9/10, but I wasn't a fan of the candied yams. Everything else from the pasta, crab claws, spinach dip and the Mac and cheese was very flavorful and seasoned to perfection. Our server Tyler was immaculate and very knowledgeable about the menu. Manager Kalia was also very personable and made several rounds to check on guest. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and it is definitely worth another visit.
Southern comfort food at its finest. This will for sure have you leaning and catching the itis. Went in the afternoon for late lunch early dinner and it wasn't too crowded when we first arrived, but it's not a huge space so I def can see how this place can get crowded. OMG! You have to try this restaurant out. From the food, to the ambiance, to the service...it was all wonderful. The food was AMAZING! Well seasoned, taste delicious, and looks soo good on the plate. I had the Cajun catfish and that fish was soo flaky, light, nice crunch, and flavorful. That paired with the tartar sauce was heavenly. A nice addition to the meal was the service. Our server was Alexis and she was so good, kind, and attentive. I really liked her and was glad she served our table. I highly recommend that you come to this establishment. It's a 10/10 in my book. read more

This was my first time at Noir, and I must say my experience was superb. Jordan and Courtney (with fade, 1996) were our servers and they made the experience even better. They were both through with explaining the menu and beverages. I will return and recommend‼ Big Memphis in da house 〽〽〽 read more

Can I just say this is the best restaurant I've had in a long time. Everything was so delicious. We went on a Saturday morning during brunch and they have buy one get one free lemon drops. I was feeling great off of the first few sips lol. And then when the food came out, I was impressed by everything on my plate. The macaroni and fried chicken were my favorite if I had to choose. The server was so nice. They began to get a little bit more crowded as we were eating and she continued to make sure she checked on us. The music was great and it wasn't too loud. I hate when I go places and I can't hear the person I'm dining with. Even the decor was nice, dark and moody, which I liked. They had a patio option as well, but we decided to dine in. Overall 10 out of 10 with highly recommend I can't wait until I go back to Nashville to eat here. read more

My friends & I stopped by Noir for a drink while hanging out on a Saturday. Its sultry decor leans toward a grown & sexy vibe. We didn't have reservations & found seats at the bar. It was lively, so if you plan to go on a Saturday evening, make reservations. It seemed to be a popular spot for celebrations & tourists. During recent visit to Nashville, I has the opportunity to dine here for my sisters birthday dinner. The restaurant is beautiful. I love the Black & Gold vibe they have going on. There is a nice size bar sitting slighty in the middle of the dining area, with nice size table+chairs for dining in. We had a semi private table setting which fit all 8 of us comfortably. Our waitress was a sweetheart, who gave recommendations, attentative, and also patient with our party size. Most of us had mocktails that the bartender freestyled. It was so good! For apps, I ordered the hot parm oysters. I never pass on ordering oysters whenever they are available because not many places back home offer cooked oysters. I liked the oysters but they were a little salty. For my main dish, I ordered the lamb chop dinner which comes with 2 sides. I had the yams and mac+cheese. The yams were good. Not too sweet. The lamb was great. Well seasoned and tender. The mac was good also but had a lot of what appeared to be either pepper or parsley inside. I was so full from the oysters and mocktail, I took most of my main course back to the hotel. The food tasted better a few hours later lol I also had a cornbread muffin that was tasty also. I was looking for a Black owned place to go when I came to Nashville and Noir did not disappoint. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Our server Erika was nice and attentive. The music was playing at the perfect level, loud enough to enjoy but not too loud to hold a conversation. We had the wings, brussels, lemon drops, fries and Southwest egg rolls. Everything came out quicker than expected. Inside of the restaurant was beautiful, with plenty of yellow tinged lighting that made you feel like you were glowing. read more
Came to this restaurant last night for a team dinner. We had a reservation and were seated shorty after all of us getting there. We had a pretty big group, so I'm glad we were seated without having to wait a while. As soon as we sat down, our waitress asked everyone what they wanted to drink. We all did wait for a menu, however, they don't hand out paper menus, they have a QR code. We were with an older crowd, so i think they were a little bothered by that but everyone did end up looking and ordering. One of my colleagues got the spinach dip as an appetizer and i was able to try it. It was super cheesy with barely any spinach lol. It didn't taste bad, however, it seemed to be more of a cheese dip than spinach dip. The chips it came with were very tasty and just the right amount of crunch. My coworker also got the cornbread appetizer and he said they were really good. I got the Rasta pasta, which is really good. However, i didn't like the sauce that was on the chicken. I took the chicken off of the pasta and ate the rest. The toast was also really good as well . I love the fact that this restaurant is black owned. If you're looking for amazing soul food in Nashville, Nior is definitely the place to be. Every dish is full of flavor, cooked with care, and gives you that true comfort-food feeling from the very first bite. The meal was rich, well-seasoned, and beautifully plated, with sides that perfectly complemented the main dish. You can tell the food is made with intention -- soulful, satisfying, and elevated without losing its roots. What can I say! If you are looking for a place with a great vibe and even better food, this IS THE SPOT! E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G taste soooo good. I had the pleasure of dining here while on vacation and I couldn't have picked a better place. I love that it is Black Owned. Please make reservations a day in advance. However, my party had to wait a little bit BUT the food was WELL WORTH THE WAIT! SHOUT OUTS: OUR WAITRESS: ALEXIS IS THAT GIRL! THE MANAGER: SHAMIRA HELD IT DOWN AND WAS SO NICE AND PROFESSIONAL & THE BARTENDER: ASHLI DID HER BIG ONE! I highly recommend NOIR KITCHEN & COCKTAILS. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN when I return to Nashville! Keep up the awesome work and giving us that good food for our souls!! What a yummy brunch experience! My girlfriends and I visited Noir for brunch this past weekend. The atmosphere was really inviting with its African inspired decor and great music. The hostess was friendly and agreed to snap our picture in front of their signature wall. Our waitress Morgan was very professional and polite. The food selection was great. I was a little disappointed they didn't have snapper but I got my 2nd choice, catfish w/grits instead. I also ordered collard greens and they were delicious. My friend ordered oxtails with grits and she said it was a nice portion and very tasty. My other friend ordered a sampler with oxtails, shrimp, lamb chop, and catfish. She really enjoyed that. Oh and I had a sangria to die for! It was sooooo good. Overall we really enjoyed Noir and was happy we had an opportunity to support a Black owned business. read more

I was recently in Nashville for my sorority's national convention, and decided to check out the local Black owned restaurants in the area. Because we had a late flight, my sisters and I wanted to have brunch and relax before flying out. We decided on Noir. They did not disappoint. We we're a party of 5, who all have allergies and food stipulations. While reviewing the menu, we could instantly see that everyone could enjoy something. I decided on the Waffle platter with Cinnamon Roll flavor, which came with cheese eggs (I added spinach and onions), fruit, and potatoes (which I substituted for grits). We also ordered a side of candied bacon... All I can say is Yesss!Everything was flavourful, cooked perfectly, and light; yet left you feeling full. I also enjoyed an espresso martini and their bougie red sangria. The mixologist made the perfect blend, for the cocktails. They weren't too strong, nor were you searching for the alcohol. Our server Sanaa was very friendly, great on her service and dealt with 5 very picky women with grace. The ambiance is regal, yet down to earth with a splash bouginess in a black and gold color scheme, (i loved it.) I also loved how the GM and Bar Managers were visible, and not just for issues. They were working along side their staff and checked on every guest. We had to get a picture. We will definitely return when we're back in Nashville. read more

Waited a good minute to be seated even though we arrived on time for our 8pm dinner reservation with a party of 11 (we got a a girls there on time!!), but other than that once we got seated it went well. Food was delicious, waitress made sure we had what we needed & gave great recommendations based on our likes/dislikes. Really cute restaurant with dim lighting. Would def go back! read more

Just went today for the first time. It was really good! I had catfish, Mac n cheese, collard greens with a cornbread muffin. I thought it would be salty as soul food places usually are for me, but it was not. It was flavorful and the service was just perfect. There is a 90 minute maximum time to eat. I'm giving three stars primarily for Courtney WITH THE FADE, who truly stood out during our visit. I brought my mom here to enjoy our happy hour ritual, but our experience was a bit of a rollercoaster. Courtney's Excellence Shines Through! We arrived and were seated 20 minutes after our reservation, which was a bit disappointing. Once seated, it took Courtney about 10 minutes to reach our table. However, she sincerely apologized for the delay and efficiently took our entire order. Despite being busy with two large parties, Courtney consistently checked in on us, which made a significant difference in our experience. The food was pleasant and enjoyable. The food runners who brought our meals were friendly and accommodating, adding a positive touch to the service. The Downside as we wrapped up our meal, Courtney brought us the check and to-go boxes. However, Jamyra approached our table, and what started as light chit-chat quickly turned passive-aggressive. Her demeanor shifted from friendly to rude, which was disheartening. Unfortunately, her behavior reflects the negative stereotypes often associated with black women in leadership positions, affecting how staff and customers perceive her. In summary, while Courtney's service was exceptional and made our visit worthwhile, Jamyra's attitude left a sour note. Here's hoping for better experiences in the future! read more
