The first reason was my pain tolerance is LOW and after talking to all my friends who had them said it felt like a cheese grater scraping your skin for hours. lol eeek! The second reason was because I keloid if cut too deep so I was afraid of that too. My husband has a huge tattoo from Made to Last but I couldn't go to the same guy because that guy moved out of the city. My good friend said he had a guy who could do it with no problem and he was right! He was also at Made to Last so it was a win win for me. After I knew what a wanted, I booked with Matt Skinny and away I went down the path of getting my tattoo! I LOVE the old house they are in and so admire that they kept the old charm. It so doesn't feel like a tattoo place. Loved all the clientele that walked in and loved all the conversations that were happening around me. I felt comfortable and calm and it took my mind off of the cheese grating that was happening on my arm!!! Lolol! I'm VERY pleased with my results and I've already talked to him about the other tattoo that I want!!! It's only been four days and the tattoo looks as if it's been there for years. It's healing beautifully and I'm shocked. Wahoo!! I'm so proud of myself and happy I didn't chicken out.

Our wait time was crazy and it was almost and hour before we even got started. The Tattoo artist that was helping us was just too slow but he was okay. The power went out in the middle of my wife tattoo session because of a rain storm and I was not okay with the tattoo artist finishing her work in the dark even with a little light on there head. We had allreafy paid for a full service from the artist so I asked the tattoo artist that was working on my wife's neck work could we get some kind of discount on her services because there was no lights and they were trying to fi ish her work half way in the dark. There were two other workers in the shop and things just went left they were very unprofessional they were getting in mine and my wife's business when i was only talking to the tattoo artist that was working on my wife's neck. The young lady that works at this establishment was on the phone with her boss and letting them know that I didn't want the tattoo artist too finish the work in the dark and that was cool then the other tattoo artist started to get nasty with me talking a bunch of smack and being very disrespectful too me and my wife saying that the artist has to get paid as qell for some of the work that he had done and i wasn't even arguing with that point but we also need to be compensated as well because my wife tattoo was not finished the police was called on us because they said that we as the clients were being rude and disrespectful too them and we need to leave the establishment now. I said that I wasn't going to leave until we go back some of our money back that the tattoo artist JAY said that he was going to give us. It really never had to go this far but when you get into someone else bussiness and have no idea what you or the tattoo artist has talked about the other workers should have stayed out of it. The out side tattoo artist said that he felt threatened by me a black woman and her black wife the other workers was a white female that was acting like a little girl because she needed to call the police and get them involved. The second no fator person was maybe a white male mixed with other nationalities. The Gastonia Police Officers that showed up was not far at all they never asked what was going on they didn't want to ask myself or my wife what happened how could we help to resolve the situation they came siding already with the white woman and never asked any questions. I would ever recommend this tattoo shop to anyone i know there. If I was you make sure that when you go there make sure that you ask questions about being compensated on ink work if the powet goes out how does that work and make sure when you are dealing with the tattoo artist that you keep other workers out of your bussiness with the person that's doing your work. I will never ever go back to this shop ever again. They will call the poilce on you just for standing for your rights. This place is not a good place too go. We are still waiting on our refund now they said that it should take 7-10 business days and when we were trying to call back and speak too the artist tuat was working on my wife's neck he didn't even want to talk to us either and he is a black man so don't think that they will have your back in any situation thathappens at this tatto shop. One…read moreof the artist tattooed me, I immediately contacted the shop and the owner said he would "fix" this at no charge and thanked me for not going public with this. But.... Since May, the owner has only made the situation worse, acted with no urgency to correct this and said he was going to start charging me. So I started visiting other artist that specialize in cover-up work in Charlotte and they can not believe the amount of damage that has been done to my arm. Most say ANY quality tattoo artist would know better than to try to cover up anything that big, that dark and that new. I have scarring, uneven color and the issue that needed covering has not been covered. Tomorrow, I will start laser removal! So....to wrap that all up for you....S'Moore Ink took my money, had 2 artist jack my arm up, lied to me about a fix, did not take into factor my feelings, acted with no urgency to correct, lied about no charge, refused to pay for removal and said they will have no further communication with me. Being " Best in Gaston" doesn't mean alot.

I had already read rave reviews about her and her work, so I felt super comfortable with her! Not once did I question the sanitation of the environment or any of their methods. She was very informative and knowledgeable and explained everything I needed to know. This is my second nostril piercing, so she took extra time and care into lining up the two piercings as much as possible. She did a fantastic job!
