Ink by Sydney was the best choice I've ever made regarding something as so important as my face. I take daily medications that cause my hair & eyebrows to be brittle & break off very easily. We discussed again the complete procedure that I was interested in (micro blading & micro shading) and went to work on mapping out my new eyebrow shape. Now THIS PART, honestly, was the best. Sydney spent at least 50 mins mapping out what would be my new eyebrow shape. She carefully uses precision designed calipers (not some random ruler or piece of string!) to map out the shape of your future upcoming beautiful brows. I extra appreciate the fact that Sydney kept me updated and informed me of what she was doing at every step of the procedure. (She also played calming music & had water on hand for me if I was in need. How sweet!) After finally agreeing on the shape and color of what would be my future brows, she set to work. This is when the magic happened! Now, she does use a small amount of numbing cream on the brow area so that you do not feel any slight discomfort during the procedure. But Sydney seems to have magic in her fingertips because she was so gentle in her work that I ACTUALLY FELL ASLEEP! Yes, I fell asleep while having her blade my brows because she was THAT gentle! I woke up only because she had me slightly move my head to the side for an angle adjustment. To wrap things up: It's been almost a month since my 1st session & I still need to go for my touch up. I'm beyond excited because ever since the day of the procedure 1. I have had non-stop compliments on my eyebrows & 2. I have always been so insecure about my eyebrows and drawing them from scratch is so time-consuming and exhausting. I like my brows looking snatched and they only look good when I put foundation on my face as well. I saw a regular from my job and her eyebrows were amazing! She recommended me to Sydney and it was really easy to communicate with her right off the bat. I initially called her number but after that we would always text. She would give me a reminder and tell me what to expect and what not. First session was back in February and I was really nervous because I knew it would hurt but completely trusted her in making the best brow shape for my face. It is scary when you have no brows and come out of the first session and you feel weird with them but forget about your worries. It WILL heal, shrink, and all that stuff. My eyebrows got a lot lighter after the first month. You will come back for that second session and it will be about half the time because the shape has been made and it is mainly just filling it in and creating more strokes. I freaking love my brows!! I wake up and I am done. I do not look so bare and sad now that I have some brows to shape my face. Let me start out by explaining my microblading journey! I spent about a year looking for the perfect microblading artist on Instagram. I had followed a few artists, including Sydney, and was debating between them on where I should get my brows done. I slowly started unfollowing them one by one when I started to get cold feet about their work. The last person left was Sydney! Her work was (and still is) so consistent, and by consistent, I don't mean BIG BOLD eyebrows for every client that saw her. Every client she saw had a different set of brows that matched her/his face perfectly! This was so important to me because I was NOT looking for big bold brows that most artists like to do. I wanted a pair of brows to match my face, and to be a bit on the thinner side! A little bit of history on my brows: WORST part of my makeup routine! Over the years, I have changed my brow shape many times, not professionally of course, so you can imagine how wonky and uneven they were becoming. Getting them waxed was even worse because the waxer would shape my brows to her liking and not mine, so I was left with super fluffy and bold brows. So I pulled the trigger on Sydney and she has saved my brows! I came in to her with my brows already done and with the shape I wanted, very thin and a sharp tail at the end. She told me that the current shape I had did not do justice to my face. I was so embarrassed but so thankful that she told me that! Honesty is the best policy, especially on something that is semi-permanent and right on the face for the whole world to see! She removed the makeup on my brows and got to mapping my brows (ALSO a plus side, I got ASMR tingles from this! Thanks Sydney for a relaxing and tingly brow mapping session!) The shape she mapped was so nice on me! It really did bring my face together and it was still thin and sharp like I wanted! The process was really about 2 hours or a bit more! It is a somewhat painful process, not going to lie, but I think the numbing cream does work! Also your back side starts to ache after a while so just be aware! To conclude this very long and overdue review, SYDNEY IS THE ONE TO GO TO! I am so grateful that I went to her! She is an expert in this field and she will most definitely not disappoint you! oh my goodness i am so excited to write this!! let me start from the beginning when i discovered the most amazing eyebrow queen- i was deployed and was sooo tired of doing my eyebrows everyday. i didn't feel put together without doing them and not nearly as confident. i was spending so much money in eyebrow pencils and got tired of having to purchase them every month. i started following microblading pages on instagram so i could see artists' work and potentially find who i wanted to get my brows done by when i returned home. i followed about 25 pages and slowly started unfollowing / eliminating some as options as the work wasn't always the best. yes, some would look good but at other times, mediocre. Sydney's work is ALWAYS consistent and SO amazing. she was the last page i had kept up with for 9 months and i messaged her when i was close to going home and made my initial appointment. micorblading is an *investment*!! keep that in mind. Sydney is extremely nice and open to any suggestions you have! Let her know exactly how you want your eyebrows and she will accommodate. She draws on the shape before she starts microblading them so you have an idea of what they're going to look like. You can let her know how you want the shape to your preference. Drawing on the base shape takes about an hour, and microblading takes about another two hours. So on average a total of 3 hours but it's completely worth it! Would highly recommend! She cares about all her clients and makes an effort to text you if you have any concerns! I've been really debating posting this review, mostly because Sydney is so sweet. Her little den is very clean, relaxing and comfortable. I didn't consult with any other technician prior to meeting with her. Upon meeting with her and reviewing her work I figured it would be a safe choice. I was very nervous on getting this done, I've never had anything so drastic done to my face, she put me at ease. My natural brows are very thin, she shaved off part of my left brow to get an even look with the right brow. I asked for a natural look, and did not want to go with the thickness most younger women are going with, just something natural to go with what I got. She drew in the brows, I mentioned they were thick but she said they would be thinner, I agreed. When we finished I noticed how thick they were and unnatural, they looked unflattering. I wanted to cry. The right brow looked thicker than left, not sure if it's due to my brow bone. She did try to fix per my request. She asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment for retouch but all I want is for the tint to fade. I was told that in 3 months it might fade due not getting the retouch, I see a little fade fade not too much. I think I'll be stuck with this for a year. My makeup routine has extended as I add concealer to cover part of my tattooed brow and draw in brow to even out. When I initially complained, I felt she tried to place the blame on me stating that I was nervous and then my skin type which is combo. My family laughs at what I've done to my brows while strangers look at me funny when I wear no makeup, I just hope this will fade faster to get back to my normal makeup routine. Made an appointment with Sydney for microblading my eyebrows and fixing up an old job. She reshaped them and corrected the orange color that they had faded to. The results were perfect. When Sydney offered to do my eyeliner, at first I thought that wasn't something for me. But after going home and thinking about how terrible I am at eyeliner, I decided to get it done. I was only swollen, looking like I had just cried, that day, day 2 was much better, by day 3 I was back to normal. She did a solid line then faded black up that looks like some smoky eyeliner. I love them. I have faster time to get ready for work, gone to the beach and worked out all without thinking about eye makeup. As a nurse, I know what clean looks like. I wanted to make sure I had brows while I was swimming I loved how they turned out as soon as they were done. Then the healing processes happened (which let me tell you isn't pretty, but completely normal)but as soon as they were all healed and I went for my touch up I loved them again So much I recommended my mom and sister who both ended up getting theirs done also.
