I had a lovely first time Microblading experience with Denisse! MICROBLADING I requested a very natural brow look, and Denisse delivered perfectly. For the microblading appointment, she made sure I was comfortable, mapped out where she'd be microblading and that I was okay with it. One thing I loved was how detail-oriented she was; making sure each side was even. I was given numbing cream, so the pain was a 1/10 with the cream stinging just a little. Right after the few hour session, my brows were DARK! It stayed this way for about a week - just something to be prepared for. I tried to diligently follow the healing instructions & not to get it wet the few days following the first session. My second (follow-up) session was about 4 weeks later. Denisse added more strokes and evened out one side that had faded a bit. During this session, the numbing cream started to wear out, so the pain was about a 6/10 for a small part (if I'd asked, she would've made sure to numb me again!). The brows were dark again for another week. They are now HEALED and perfect! I'm very happy with the results and love how natural the strokes look. LOCATION/SERVICE This place is located in a little plaza next to the beach. It's metered parking, but I found parking super easily on Saturday mornings. The area has lots of cute coffee shops and a good acai shop nearby. The studio was clean, bright and well maintained. Denisse was also very nice and accommodating. I could tell she took every proper sanitary precaution with her prep area and tools. She took the time to talk through the whole procedure with me when I told her I was nervous. We talked about what I wanted and she made sure I felt comfortable before we started. (I wanted a very minimal upper eyeliner) We talked and laughed through the numbing and eyeliner pre-shaping part. Denisse did my eyebrows about a month ago. I had the combo brow service. I've wanted this done forever but to be honest I've been scared about having something permanent on my face. Denise is a great and amazing permanent make up artist. Her place is really adorable and super chic with beach theme. I decided to get microblading and lip blush. We started by mapping out the eyebrows. Denise spent a long time sketching where the brows will go and confirmed with me what they will look like afterwards. She did the same with my lips. She custom mixed both colors for my eyebrows and lip color as no customer gets the same color based on their skin tone and preference. She tried to make sure I was comfortable and see if I need more lidocain whenever it gets uncomfortable. We spent a great time talking and I get to learn a lot about Denise. I rarely write reviews but I got multiple email requests to write a review so I will give an honest one! I was looking for a local place to cover up some tiny scars that I had from years ago. I found this lady on Instagram and after a zoom meeting with her, I thought she was knowledgeable enough to do what I had asked. I explained my skin color was on the darker side and wanted to make sure she had the experience to do this, I thought this was going to be an easy, simple job. Unfortunately, my results came out terrible. After almost two months of taking care of the treatment...What I initially came to fix, which was barely noticeable, is now worse. The pigment that she used is extremely dark and very noticeable on my skin. I wasted money and now I have to get my dermatologist involved to see how we can fix this! Tattooing freckles and eyeliner is different from covering up scars. And unfortunately, My skin is ruined. Reached out to her and explained that I didn't like the result but wanted me to come in for a second session, instead of a refund. If the first time it came out bad, not sure why I would go back for worse. I am disappointed, don't think Denisse has enough experience doing this long enough working on all skin types! read more
