I had two friends beg me to do microblading on my eyebrows for years because I was always fIlling them in too dark & super uneven, & it was making them crazy. Anyway, I gave Hudson Beauty bar a call and requested to be an appointment as soon as my gf annoyed me yet again after doing my makeup one evening. Ester was amazing from the minute we talked. I easily made an appointment to come in for a consultation and we discussed what I was looking to do and how much it would cost. I came into HBB on a Tuesday late afternoon as she was finishing up another client. She profusely apologized and told me to take a seat and grab anything I wanted from the mini fridge. Once she was done, we chatted for a bit and then she sat me down in the chair and drew out how eyebrows would look (I dId show her a picture so she had an idea). She said she could go ahead or I could come back. I told her to go ahead with the whole thing and we picked out the color I wanted them. She then applied some numbing cream and waited 20 min. The procedure itself did not take that long. 20-30 tops. It hurt a tad bit at first, but then I was fine. When she showed me the final look, I actually gasped. I was (am) so speechlessly happy. I am sooooo very glad I did this. I feel like it brought a new look to my face! I loVe the way I look and would highly suggest the procedure and this salon to anyone! She was very thorough in explaining the process and showing me what my brows would look like before starting the tattoo process. The tattoo process was precise and with minimal discomfort. Christine also talked me through what to do afterwards. I was very happy with my whole experience and I definitely trust her expertise and sense of knowing what looks right for each face. I am 24 hours post-lip blush and here was my experience:…read more I got to Michelle's studio where I was warmly welcomed, had to fill out some standard paperwork prior to starting. We then went into the room where Michelle patiently showed me all the colors available, swatching each color on my skin. She then custom-made a pigment according to what I wanted! Michelle then drew out the shape of my lips, and I asked for her to go a little outside my lips as I desired a more fuller but still natural look. After approving the drawing, we got started! I was numbed for the procedure with a cream, which got reapplied a few times when it wore off. To be honest. it was not pain-free, think, tattoo-level pain, That being said, it was obviously bearable. Several hours after the procedure, I went right to work! BEFORE: I was unhappy with the uneven tone on my top and bottom lip, they were very gray and lacked pigment. I really wanted some color in my lips, but something that looked natural and pretty. I also didn't want any down time as I'm very busy. Several hours afterwards: My lips were tingly and pretty swollen, but I was not in pain. I could still drink (out of a straw) and eat in small bites. The color was very pretty but hadn't settled in yet. 1 Day AFTER: My lips feel a little tight and dry, but not painful. Michelle gave me two ointments for them which make them feel great! Today the color looks more true to the pigment we concocted and looks like it's truly settling in. I'm very happy with the shape of my lips and color! All in all, I am super happy with the results. I loved them as soon as she was done, but I love them even more a day later! I can't wait to see how they turn out as time goes on, as I understand it, the color fades as it's meant to be a "blush." Lastly, Michelle was an absolute doll, so nice and patient and warm! I recommend this procedure 100%!

Growing up I always had very sparse and light colored brows that required me to be self conscious and spend a lot of time in front of the mirror in the morning drawing in my brows with different types of brow products. Fast forward to today I have a baby and not a lot of time in the morning - I want to be able to wash my face and start the day and not waste any time on makeup! First I went in for a free consultation with Michelle. Her studio is located in Tenafly and has lots of free 2-3 hour parking on the street. Upon walking in the studio is beautiful - clean, luxurious and professional looking! I love the white and light gray color scheme she picked. I went into the room where she does the magic and laid down on the table where she mapped me and gave me an idea of how the final brow would look. After I was satisfied with the results I decided to book an appointment with her the following week. I showed up early and she was already in the studio setting up everything. I filled out some paper work and we got to business! The entire process took a few hours but was well worth it! She made sure to listen to my concerns and needs, never once rushed the session and was so easy to converse with! She started by mapping first, making sure the shape is perfect using rulers and pictures. Then she started numbing my skin. After 20 minutes she made the first pass. Then she applied numbing gel (which felt minty and refreshing) and started adding the pigment and more strokes to the brows. She even offered for me to choose what music I wanted to listen to (bonus!) I was beyond excited to do the final reveal which is where she cleans up the brows and wipes away any pigment and you get to see your new gorgeous brows! I had my brows done in January of 2021 and went back for my touch up sometime in March of 2021. They cancelled my appt for touch up due to a snow storm and couldn't accommodate me sooner for touch up. It had been about 11 Months since I had my procedure. I am writing my review now because I wanted to wait for the final results. Julianna did a very good job. I healed rather quickly and never had an issue! I protected them and still do every day with sunblock and try not to put face creams on top. I am happy with my experience and brows as they do look natural. That is something where Julianna excels at-she ensures her clients do not look crazy or too made up regardless of their requests. She genuinely takes pride In her work and it shows. Mine are darker than what she had originally suggested as I opted for combo brows-micro blading and shading. I love the color and so love the look! My brows look great and dive received many compliments-even from strangers! I do admit, however, that I along with a few others noticed a few imperfections. When I went in for my touch up I told Julianna that I was concerned they were slightly different and she said they were fine. She barely touched them during touch up. She is the pro though therefore I guess that's a good sign? She's confident in her work but she should have paid more attention to my concern bc I see it even more now . One is slightly shorter and slightly thinner than the other which extends horizontally and is thicker than the other. I didn't have perfect brows to begin with-don't believe any of us do and I guess she can only do so much! LOL I do believe she could have made more of an effort to touch them up especially after I voiced my concern. Shame on me for not speaking up again but I did confide and trust her. Nonetheless, they look good. I received a referral for Julianna by Kristina from Browsbykristina At the Strand Salon in Paramus. She is a master brow artist and she highly recommended Julianna. When I went in and told Lash and Brow that Kristina referred me they didn't even know who she was! In fact, Kristina refers all of her clients here just because of Juliana's great work. I'm hoping they will last the 3 years I was told they would last. It was something I contemplated for many years and I do love to wake up with brows as I feel they frame your face!
