Short review: loved it! It was beautiful, lasted for a long time, and didn't fall with my own eyelashes. Staff is wonderful, venue is clean and comfortable. Long review for those who care: This is a two-month review. I think eyelash extension reviews are only fair at least 2 weeks after the extension because what's more important than how they look is how they fall. I used the first-timer 50% discount. It was a Korean salon. I like Korean salons because Korean salons are usually meticulous and provide good service. They first consulted me on what lashes and what lengths I want, explaining the differences, then took me to the room to get extensions. I said I usually go for natural look but I want to look like I got extensions this time. The result: you could really tell I got extensions from 100 yards. It was so glam! During the extension, the aesthetician told me she's going to add few multi-lash strands because I had some empty spots because of the extension I got 2 months ago. I said OK but I was really afraid that my lashes will fall out more if this one goes wrong. To my pleasant surprise, few days later when my first strand fell, it only fell by itself and continued to do so during the life of the extensions. In sum the place is superb. I will certainly go back and I would highly recommend this place. Note: This is place is INSIDE of another salon that I believe is a nail salon. Lovely studio! I'm never unhappy leaving here with my lash extensions. A little pricey, and sorta annoying that if I wait an extra week because the lashes still look good I have to pay more. The fact that they last that long is amazing and speaks to the quality of the service, just wish it didn't mean paying more at the next visit! First, I've never had lash extensions before coming to Claire's. I was very nervous because I wanted a more natural extension but visible of course. Also, I wanted them for my wedding. The receptionist was very informative and helpful! I'm so glad I took her advice. My lashes came out perfect!!! People are still complimenting them 3 weeks later. I really like this place. First they help you choose the length and the curl type that will best fit your eyes. They then take you into a room that's super relaxing. If you're tired when you go, don't be surprised if you fall asleep. I really like that they use under eye gel mask and they use tape on your lower lash line to prevent glue from getting in your eyes. The time goes by quick and before you know it, you have beautiful looking lashes. When you go for the first time it's half off which is a plus! I didn't really see lashes falling out until about a few days later. If you want them to last longer I'd avoid heavy eye makeup and oils on your eyes. I came here after dealing with another salon that was overpriced and provided poor quality lashes in Hoboken. I couldn't be happier that I found Claire Beauty. The lash techs here listen to what you would like done and execute it perfectly. I came in with a photo of what I had in mind for my lashes and they did exactly what I asked. This is place is the best that Ive found! They are clean, neat, professional and friendly! They're styling looks natural not too extra or exaggerated like the lashes done other places. Also the lashes last about a good six weeks before they start shedding. In addition I can be very forgetful, not on purpose but it happens occasionally. When I am running late or have to reschedule the workers are ALWAYS accommodating and understanding. There's never a problem and they don't make a big unnecessary issue about it. These people are amazing!!!! They saved my eyes and my lashes! The owner was so real and told me exactly what I had to do to repairs my lashes after the disaster I had at Sky beauty lash in Kearny NJ. She took the rest of them off without killing me and told me how bad the lashes were and confirmed that they were not true 6D lashes and actually they were just clumps of lashes glued together. Anyways She truly gave me my confidence back and all of her employees are sweethearts and everything is so clean and serene. They're always efficient with the appointment time you set and they care so much about your lashes over the money they want you to spend that you wonder why you never knew them before. I will never let anyone else touch my lashes again. I had been getting them done at a place in the city and I was left with very damaged lashes. Claire very carefully applied a set and told me that after this I should give it a break for a while. She could have sold me a package but instead she was ethical and honest about the condition of my lashes and even offered to take this set off when I'm done so I don't experience damage. She recommended lash oils but never pushed me to buy hers. I'm so blown away by who she is as a person but now let's talk about my lashes! I'm OBSESSED! It's been a couple days and not a single one has fallen off and they look better than any set of lashes I've ever had. I have gotten compliments from almost everyone I talk to! I really love my lashes and the experience here was wonderful. I had been searching for a lash studio in my area that was reasonable and easy to schedule. An added bonus is that they have discounted refill packages if you buy them in bulk. I gave 5 stars because (1) I called on a Thursday and was able to get an appointment for the next day. (2) The pricing is very reasonable for this area and they do have a Groupon Special. (3) My tech really listened to me during the consultation and delivered just what I asked for. (4) The service room is serene and they have relaxing music playing (5) The location is in one of my favorite sections of Jersey City, Paulus Hook there is ample parking on the street and the light rail is close as well. (6) The bonus was that they allow the customers access to their WiFi because service is spotty in the basement. The studio is on the lower level of a nail salon, it's very clean and well appointed. I am honestly disppointed in my experience during my eyelash extensions appointment. First, when arriving to the place it is located downstairs below the nail salon and smelled of strong chemicals. The lady who gave me my consultation insisted that I go on the shorter end of the lash length, even though I have told them that I have had lash extensions done previously. I felt uncomfortable that she was not listening to what I wanted, but instead tried to give me shorter lashes which did not make much of a difference afterwards. When I had called for an appointment, I specifically requested to have Claire as my lash technician, but once I entered the room it was another lady and she said that she was just as good so I trusted her. It was a huge mistake as this lady was working on my eyelashes, she was sneezing and blowing her nose. I am sure that she did not wash her hands as she proceeded to work on my eyelashes. The room did not feel like a professional environment as most places offer to put a blanket on top of you and they do not close the door which led to a lot of noise disturbances. There was this customer who was having a conversation over the phone and it was very distracting. Once the technician was done was my lashes, I had to tell her to adjust a few of them because they were sticking out and looked awkward. She tried to fix them, but it didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. It has been a week and most of the lashes have already fallen out, which is upsetting after all the money that was spent. Overall, I had high expectations of this place due to the positive reviews, but I was left disappointed. It is a very unprofessional environment and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I've been here twice and had a great experience both times. Very easy to make an appointment and I appreciated that they called me and told me that they had a cancellation and asked if I wanted to come earlier. I don't normally get my lashes done so I wasn't really sure what I wanted it. Very friendly staff. They showed me a chart with different lash curls, lengths, and looks. First time I got the cat eye look and received lots of compliments! They also stayed on for over a month before my lashes started to look very sparse! Wanted to try a different look this time so I got the "open eye" look (for my asian eyes lol). They always make sure I'm satisfied with my lashes when I'm done. Just got my first lash extensions here. I have short and thin lashes and was looking for fullness and some length. I was shown the various lengths and styles available and based on my lash type, it was suggested that I go with the "Natural" style, which is what I was going for. I was hoping for fullness throughout the lid but there weren't any lashes applied to the corners. Perhaps there was a technical reason for that, but as a first timer, that is not what I had envisioned. In my consultation, I was made aware that adjustments can be made when I go back for a fill in, which is what I'll end up doing.
