Be prepared that it will take a few hours, even if you get there right at 10am, but you can leave and come back or stay and shop around. Definitely have everything a new collector might want but may not have the deep cuts a long-time collector (like me) would be looking to purchase. Prices - a tad high. But I expected that considering I'm in a metropolitan area. Their rent is probably super high, but I don't mind paying an extra $2-3 per book to keep an independent store open. Regarding those deep cuts: - I did find some authors that I think are often overlooked, including Richard K. Morgan, Chuck Tingle, and Ann Leckie. - I was saddened to see that there was no Ronald Malfi in stock, which I find to be a mainstay in horror. - There was no Between the Buried and Me vinyl in stock, which saddens me due to concert tonight (that's why I drove all the way to this coast). I ended up buying 2 herbal books for a very fair price, he actually told me the prices on the books weren't set in stone. Books and More is smaller than the others, and provides a more personalized experience. The prices seems to be either comparative or cheaper than the other places, but that's hard to judge considering the nominal number of books I, as one person, have had an opportunity to price there. Aside from the text books, they usually have a small, but choice, selection of used novels and non-fiction books on hand. These are very cheap compared to cover price, and if you go at the right time you can find some really interesting things for a steal. They also carry used music CDs, stationary, and other odds and ends for college students. Overall, a great place that is much more rewarding to support with my hard earned loan money than the bigger, more coporate alternatives.

This past Shop Small Saturday, I visited with 4 other people and her shop was (safely) bustling. I found a record for $1 outside and I did not have any cash - instead of having me use my card for a buck, she gave me the record for free. These types of small things make people come back and bring other people with them. This is a gem of a store (located just a couple blocks from where I used to live) in Seminole Heights.
