I haven't been able to afford dental care, don't have insurance but due to an emergency I have no choice but to go in. Had my 6 month cleaning done. This place was great when I had PPO. Now that I just go to get the cleaning done. The treatment is different. The front office girls that used to be there were super friendly and welcoming and called you by your name. This time around I saw long faces, frowns, and attitude from the front desk Keidy. She was super rude. The energy in this office felt heavy and negative. And on top of that my appointment was canceled with no explanation or even given the opportunity to work with me. Sadly, I no longer will recommend this office to friends or family. replying: to Dr Andrew I wasn't trying to bypass the exam like you posted and I was not frustrated because I can get required exams and ex-rays. And obviously you are not sorry. It's easy to brush it off saying sorry then working with the patient. Like in previous posts I read. It's not about the patient anymore. Before coming here I looked around for other dental offices, aside from being promptly available after sharing the severity of my visit this was the best choice I made, I had been nervous to visit a dentist office due to a bad experience and it's been a long time, when coming here they treated me kindly and made me feel welcomed. There were several things that I wanted the advice from the dentist and while I did my exam and asked me about my visit he was able to prioritize all my concerns and even put me at ease on things that I thought were concerning. When I arrived at Inland Choice Dental, I came with a LOT of problems: tons of cavities, a broken tooth, missing teeth and a lot of shame and embarrassment. It's been a long journey for me but I'm forever grateful that the first question Dr. Andrew asked me before he started doing anything was "What has been your experience with the dentist?" I was able to open up about the traumatizing experience I had with my previous dentist and Dr. Andrew was so compassionate towards me. He and his staff were so kind, welcoming and COMPASSIONATE. He assured me that my teeth weren't even that bad (even though I felt that they were in the worst condition) and that we were going to work it out. He gave me what the other dentist didn't: hope. He put together a treatment plan for me to get my teeth back in top shape and as of yesterday, we finished most of the work I needed done! I really didn't want to write this review mainly because writing a bad review takes up a lot of time. As a working professional and a new mother of a toddler time is precious and timing is everything. I rely on Yelp reviews for important services like dental, car repairs, house repairs, etc and from one working professional to another... this is an unacceptable business module. I was fighting every instinct to leave a review after my first visit here but decided I would let it go since I don't plan on returning. I still don't plan on returning. Why am I writing this today ? It's been over a month and half since my visit and to suddenly get a text message saying "Hi, we are going paperless. you owe use $25" click here to pay. So why am upset? Back at the beginning of October, I my husband and I were looking for a new dentist as we have moved to the area. We ended up choosing this place based on the reviews and location from work and home. With our work schedules and babysitting schedules, it really difficult to make these doctor and dental visits since we work weekends and our schedules are NOT a consistent 9 to 5PM. I ended up scheduling my husbands appt first and could not get around to scheduling mine. By the time he has his appt. I told him to go ahead and schedule my visit for a general cleaning IF he though the dental office was okay. So he did. The day I go in for the visit. Everything checks out fine, they send text messages to wait and check in on the phone (COVID). They have me come in and sit in the waiting area (cute office fancy air filters). They finally call me in and take x-rays and the dentist comes out to evaluate my teeth. After that whole process he goes and says "lets go to the front to schedule your cleaning." ....... I have never been to a dentist that is completely NOT upfront. To my dismay the receptionist did not even try to PRETEND to be sorry. She said "I'm sorry I wish I had spoken to you for scheduling and not your husband" Please be careful of what and how you say it, because you insinuated my husband is an idiot and seems like you wanted to be a home wrecker. Things you could have said, "I apologize we accidentally over booked (even if it wasn't true)." "we seemed to have a schedule mix up" or even be upfront and say you only have 1 dental hygienist rather than point the blame back at myself and my husband. I wasn't even THAT type of crazy customer to scream or yell in the office. I told her, I've very upset and this is disappointing and the response I received was more defensive and escalating. You're dental office is fancy and cute but you only have 2 dental chairs and seems like 1 dental hygienist. You have a lot of high tech equipment but I caution patrons as I've been to a lot of dentist (my last dentist I drove out for sadly passed away and he was AMAZING) and the prices and billing methods here seem to be lucrative just to make up for the fancy office. Fast forward to my cleaning appt. (of course I had to come back....I wanted to find a new dentist right after but my insurance has been billed for this visit and took my x-ray we're only allocated a certain amount on our insurance plans to do certain things per year) Seems like front staff remembered me, did not say a whole lot or even PRETEND to be customer service like. They had me sign a special fluoride waiver which I thought was weird. I asked if I could opt out because in my mind I was thinking they're going to charge me for something outside of my insurance. But the girl said it was standard.... The cleaning process was fine but my teeth hurt for 2 days after that. (The same girl jokingly told my husband just before his cleaning that it would hurt and bleed and it did. He even told me this after making MY appointment and I still wanted to give them a chance...) So imagine my frustration here. I have never been to a dentist and have been charged for a general cleaning. The text message opens up and make you put in your information. The "statement" when you open it up doesnt tell you what you are being billed for just that you have an outstanding balance. If you're going to send a bill it should have more information. And if you were planning on charging something you should let the patient know before they leave the office. If you're going to save money on paper billing, you should have a decent portal for patients to access and see what you are doing (I don't recall signing up for paperless billing and even if I did, it said it sent a receipt to my email but it did not. It texted me that I paid but it doesn't allow me to go back and removed my card information or view anything. Lastly, It's unfortunate that 5 star reviews need incentive. While sitting in their lobby the TV screen had slide shows and the slide shows had incentives.
