My wife and I bought a 100 year old house and did a complete gut rehab using a 203k loan. Luke and his team were outstanding and very responsive!  We are very pleased with the work he provided.  Even the city inspectors were impressed with the quality of  his work and how he completely transformed our house to one of the best homes in Homewood. We also passed all our inspections with no problems. If you need somebody that has experience and can get the job done. Hire this guy!  My wife and I had no clue what we were getting ourselves into. We were blessed to find this company.  Luke knocked down 1/3 of our house to put down new concrete footings.  He installed an additional furnace/ac unit to our house. We originally had 1 bathroom on the second floor and one bathroom on the first floor. He re-did all the plumbing in our house to put 2 bathrooms on the second floor, 1 bathroom on the fist floor and a laundry room on the second floor. He put all new engineered flooring throughout our house. He also completely remodeled 3 bathrooms, repainted our entire house, drywalled several areas in our house to remap our upstairs. Knocked down some walls and put up support beams to give us an open concept. Basically, he did a lot of work and the house looks great! We have a ton of pictures and very pleased with the work. He also installed my charger for my tesla! read more

It is Extremely Important to hire a contractor that can perform the work based on the scope of work and for any unforeseen site conditions that may arise during the Renovation or Construction Project. Inland Home Remodeling Inc. did an Outstanding Job for our Two-Flat Building Renovation that is over 100 years old!! Inland's workmanship, for demolition, replacing/installing floor joists, updating the building electrical amps and panels, repairs, materials, equipment updates and design ideas to update the Kitchen and Bathroom were Superior! This Renovation took some time due to COVID and had a few unforeseen site conditions that came up. We are extremely impressed that Inland resolved those unforeseen site conditions and did not make a temporary fix. For example, the main plumbing line for the bathrooms had a severe leak, Inland stopped the work, had a licensed plumber inspect the problem, and the decision was to do a total replacement!! As homeowners, totally relieved. Inland's subcontractors are talented in their trade, friendly and hard working. Inland's Project/Construction Manager, Konrad did a phenomenal job, by being reliable and responsible. Also, having meetings when we had questions about selecting materials, equipment and offering his professional construction advice. We trusted Inland from the start of our renovation and from start to finish Inland highly performed on every level with passing grades! Inland was totally committed to finishing our project despite the delays not based on their performance but caused by COVID, getting the green light from the City and our HUD Consultant. The Inland team worked on my 126 year old house that I purchase with 203k loan. The project took 6 months and included HVAC, a complete plumbing replacement, a deck replacement, new windows, walls, drywall, masonry, concrete, and many other repairs to make my home safe and comfortable. Konrad, my project manager was organized and a great communicator. He kept the project moving with great speed and managed so many moving parts and shifting priorities. There were up to 10 people working on my house at once and he kept it all moving smoothly. The timeline was tight, and he and his team pulled it off with a skill and a great attitude. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and care that they took with the job. Each member of the team showed up exactly on time every single day. I lived in the home for the duration of the project and the team took great care to share the space mindfully, separating construction zones from living areas as much as possible. I debated writing a review, as it saddens me to read the unprofessional and frankly disrespectful responses by the company, even resorting to calling customers liars. Luke was actually very nice to us so his responses surprise me for that reason alone. I am a professional and do not wish to get into a debate on a public forum, however I feel compelled after my most recent experience. This company completed a rehab project for us using a 203k loan 4 years ago. The positives are that the initial write up for the bid was quite organized. It was obvious that he was very comfortable working with these types of loans, as we were unfamiliar with the process. He worked with us within the budget as presented by the consultant. The cabinets and countertops are high quality. Paint was perfect, which I imagine was quite a feat in a large home. The work appears nice. As mentioned, the owner was nice and easy going. On deeper inspection, cabinets and light fixtures appear to have been installed without much care. There were several broken/cracked light fixtures following install, which I actually never made a big deal about. There was a light fixture that was accidentally thrown away that was replaced by the owner. A brand new window was also cracked during installation. This was never replaced despite multiple calls. The biggest issue is that now we find out that two new fireplace units were installed incorrectly and damaged on installation, making them hazardous if they were used. Luckily we never used them. The lack of response to this situation is very unprofessional. The owner's response is there is no warranty after this much time. This is an issue of work not warranty, as again, these units were installed incorrectly, leaving us to have to repair this shoddy work. Overall, their work seems nice but the level of care is lacking and customer service leaves much to be desired. People that visit my home have definitely asked me for my contractor and I have not been able to refer to this company. Service goes a long way. I would highly consider going somewhere else. read more

Thanks to Luke & His team for coming through with good reliable carpentry for my client on her 2/2 condo upgrade. Good prices, great team of people to work with. They show up on time & as promised. If there's an issue they'll fix it. Good at working through any little issues that may arise. I was managing this project for a client but I appreciated having Konrad on the job to help out with logistics and planning. We used a couple subcontractors for various items on the punch list which I regret, next time I will have Luke take on the whole job. It will be worth it. I used this company for an FHA 203k Loan and initially I was impressed because they come out with their folder and all the 203k docs and give you the impression that they will work with you. This GC is very methodical about doing the easy work first and not in proper order (like mechanicals first) and then will leave you hanging. I had a moldy basement because he didn't do the HVAC first. After 1.5yrs of starting my project I fired Inland Home Remodeling because nothing was getting done month after month despite all my calls and emails. The project manager kept saying he was out of town and clearly she was not managing the projects if nothing was getting done. The GC told me himself that he had 8 other large projects going on so clearly I was not a priority. They did not complete any of the inspections with the CITY and NOW say "they didn't finish the work" despite their names being on ther permits. So this is going to get interesting seeing as how there was payment made to the GC for the electrical. This company will bankrupt any FHA homeowner. Stay away. read more

I can't say enough good things about Luke and Inland. We hired them to rebuild our back deck, front steps, and stain exterior wood. They did exactly what they said they would do and when they said they would do it! I personally have over 40 yrs experience doing all phases of renovation and I know and expect good quality. Inland delivers. Their attention to detail surpasses any company I've ever used. They communicate well and are very fair. They are not the cheapest but believe me they are worth every penny. I hired Luke and Beata to remodel my upstairs into a primary suite, add central A/C, and refresh the 1st floor guest bathroom. They had by far the best bid and they were very easy to work with when drawing up the plans. They were always on time, organized and friendly. They did a great job on the fly with plan changes and the tile work in the primary suite was flawless. I truly enjoyed working with Beata, the project manager. She is a true asset to the company! We did have a hiccup with the tile in the guest bath but Beata sent someone out to completely replace it. Obviously, mistakes occur but they promptly fixed it and that I truly appreciate that. We worked with this company in 2016 for the purchase of our home that needed some repairs. They received over 25k in loan repairs, one of which was a new roof. The worked appeared to be done accurately. However, we began experiencing problems with the roof leaking, when it was only 4 years old! Upon contacting Luke concerning this issue, he stated he would come out to look at the roof, so that repairs could be done. However, he would not agree to a time. After 3 phone calls with similar results, I emailed and texted him to attempt to set up a time. He did not respond to at least 10 requests over a few months. This led us to have to search and pay for roof repairs on our own, when his company completed the work. I understand a roof does not last forever, but they should not leak in 4 years! Only after writing the above review, did Luke choose to come and look at the issue after at least 10 attempts to contact him prior. His focus when assessing the damage was having the review removed. After his own assessment and water tests (where he NEVER mentioned rodent damage), he said he would repair the issue. However, after another rain and continued leakage, he decided to blame the problem on scratches on the roof and called it rodent damage. However, as I informed him, we had other reputable roofing companies to examine the roof. They took extensive pictures to inform us the issue was that the sections under the shingles were not properly installed, causing water to leak into the wood in our home. He refused to repair the damage and simply offered to have us pay him more to fix damage in his company's installation. This is unprofessional and I would not recommend this company. Lastly, as you can ascertain from the response from the owner, Luke, the level of professionalism is lacking. I have not resorted to name calling in my review, although his initial comment is to call me a liar. This saddens me, as I attempted to give this company the benefit of the doubt and allow repairs to be made. I hardly ever make reviews, but felt I should try to help someone avoid the costs we are facing when we believed we had a quality roof. read more

Inland was hands down the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. They helped fix our siding, re-painted our entire house, did some interior work (vented a bathroom and installed a new kitchen system). I wish I could give them more stars. Luke was very easy to work with, he came a few times in the beginning while we were shopping around for contractors. I bought my first home in November that needed significant updating and remodeling both for aesthetic purposes as well as to bring it up to code. I'm not handy by any means and my 'experience' is limited to EXTENSIVE hours spent watching all things HGTV. From the beginning Inland was knowledge, professional and timely. I had heard horror stories about the time it takes to obtain permits or to even get the simplest of items checked off. This was not my experience, not only was Inland timely, but when given some freedom they also have expert taste and knowledge of what is trending now. Our house got water damage from our dishwasher/sink Breaking and we needed a full kitchen & Dining room remodel. We were told about Inland Homes from my brother who used them for their whole home remodel - specifically Luke and how good he and his team were. We needed cabinets, flooring, demo, - everything - stripped to the studs and rebuilt. We had Luke come in and do a walk through (and other companies) - not only was Luke timely (he came on 8am on a Saturday as my wife and I both work and have a toddler at home) he was very professional. He remembered and asked about my brothers house and his family too. Luke gave us a fair estimate and worked well w our insurance company. Luke walked us through all he would do, recommended places to buy cabinets/counter tops/etc (studio 41). his team started when he said they would and were very nice. When something didn't go as planned (cabinets were late, fuses blew, etc) he was responsive and proactive. In fact of all the times we called/texted him w questions or thoughts or ideas or whatever there was not a single time he didn't answer or call back right away. Dealing w insurance while living w inlaws 45 minutes from your home with a. 2 Yr old and a dog can be overwhelming - Luke and his team reassured us and answered all of our questions. He told us we would be in the house before the 4th of July and sure enough we were - inland homes had many projects and clients who wanted to have work done before the holiday weekend and while his team worked quickly there is nothing noticeable that was missed -- and he insisted we get fully moved in and test/use everything (new appliances, etc) and he would come back next week to do a final walk through For anyone who needs or is thinking about a kitchen/dining room remodel I would suggest Luke, his team and inland homes to anyone- they by far exeeeded our expectations!! We hired Inland to complete a major FHA renovation on our home. We deeply regretted our choice of contractor throughout the entire renovation. The details of this saga are too lengthy for a yelp review, but some highlights include the fact that they demolished a bathroom that was not within the scope of work, without our written consent or providing us with a budget, and then tried to charge us beyond what we agreed to once we learned about the demolition. The work was sloppy- paint splatters on new appliances, poorly outfitted electrical outlets, tiles cut incorrectly etc. But the worst part of all is how we were treated by the Project Manager and GC. I have honestly never encountered such poor customer service or rude, personal insults when trying to resolve a business dispute. Truly astonishing the positive reviews this company has received because our experience was nothing like what other people have stated. If you have other options for a contractor, especially for an FHA loan where it is difficult to fire your contractor, I'd recommend you go with them instead. read more
