The eye doctor knows what he is doing. For 2 years I went to an ophthalmologist and he told me my eyes were fine. I chose Inlet optical due to location and the doctor found I had mono vision. He also found a stigmatism. I've been going here now for two years and love his patience and knowledge. He asked questions and really will get down to trying to find the best vision care for you. Last month I decided to go with Contacts. I have been in every week changing my contacts to get the exact comfort and he hasn't complained once. The staff are amazing. read more

Ordered hi index lenses on April 25, 2025. They were completed on July 2, 2025 (just shy of 10 weeks). Called several times and exchanged multiple emails during this 10 weeks. I have been wearing glasses for 55 years and it has never been more than 2 weeks or so (usually closer to a week) to get an eyeglass order completed. Never got an apology but got several excuses. In fact the first time I spoke with Shawn (after about week 4) instead of apologizing he decided to insult me by telling me I didnt know anything about how the optical business/process works. At one point Shawn gave me the phone number to his regional sales rep at Zeiss and told me I could track down my own order (Really, I can't make this stuff up). Shawn told me multiple times he was just a middle man as if he had no accountability. I paid Inlet Optical for this order ($700+ by the way), so I had to remind Shawn that, in fact, he was 100% responsible for my order and it's not the customers responsibility to chase down their eyeglass order. If he has issues with his suppliers or vendors he is accountable for addressing those issues (Not his Customer!). I did not have an eye exam at inlet optical, so I can't speak to the quality or service of the eye exams. If you don't mind waiting 2+ months for an eyeglass order, by all means go for it. Otherwise find a different provider. And just to be 100% transparent, sometime after week #8 I called my credit card company to dispute the charge because I was not a happy customer. And most credit cards companies only give you 60 days from the original charge date to dispute it. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Inlet Optical in my lifetime. read more

Would give zero stars if possible, very poor customer service. They do not routinely give copies of billing saying " people don't care, they just pay what we tell them". Billing person begrudgingly gave me a copy. How is that appropriate? The kicker was he wanted to charge me over $500 for a six month supply of contacts! I called 1-800 contacts and got over night shipment for a year supply for less then half that rip off price they gave me! Will never use them ever again. Dr. Lessly kept me in the waiting room for 45 minutes past my appointment. He did not have a patient in the room, and I had to go into the back to notify the man at the desk that I had not been seen yet. He proceeded to immediately come out, call me in, with no apology. I explicitly booked the appointment to get a renewal for my glasses and contact lense prescription, and made that clear. He confirmed he had done so. When I went to order new contacts I was made aware he did not renew my contact lense prescription, and could only do it if he saw me again. Two appointments in one year are not covered under my and most vision plans. This was a sad attempt to take my money, just as they did by outrageously over charging for just lenses on glasses I bought elsewhere. Find somewhere else for your eyes. read more

Although I haven't been here for an eye exam, I have frequented the business for multiple eye glass and sunglasses repairs and have always had a great experience. Everyone is friendly and quick to resolve my issue, with many repairs being made at little or no charge. I have noticed numerous people here obtaining eye exams and everyone seems quite happy with their expertise. read more

Chose this office due to the excellent reviews and convenient location. My eye exam went well, but then the problems started. The lab did not deliver the lenses as prescribed, and I had to wait another two weeks. Then the transition I purchased stopped working way too early. When I wanted to talk to the optometrist about my problem, turns out, all he really cared about was whether or not he was making or loosing money during our conversation. My first time going to see the doctor was a pleasant experience. But this year was a different story and I won't be back. I went for my eye exam and after the exam was over, and I was searching for a new pair of glasses, I was told they couldn't see that my insurance was active. Why isn't this checked before a visit is completed? And my insurance was, in fact, active. I called my employer and was connected with my insurance company who then had me submit a claim. I made an appointment for my husband and we arrived and the gentleman that fit people for glasses wasn't there. We left, as that was the point of our visit. Not even 6 months later I attempted to order contact lenses through Walmart, as I do every six months, and I got a call from Inlet saying I needed to pay $85 for them to "release my prescription" because I didn't pay for my fitting during my last appointment. Why wasn't I charged for my fitting during my last appointment? Oh right, I specifically asked the doctor and he told me I only needed to do that every two years and I wouldn't need to have a fitting done during that visit. So, I wasn't charged, and a fitting wasn't completed. Yet, I'm being asked to pay for something that I was told I wouldn't need for another year so that I can get contact lenses. I'm very disturbed at how many times I've been asked for money, not even copays or anything, full price. Honestly, the doctor seems really nice, but it feels very dishonest and disorganized whatever is happening there. And they're not even nice about it. It's like "it is what is is" attitude and not even attempting to help or provide customer service or support. read more

They work on island time. Be prepared to wait two weeks just to get reading glasses that's if they get them right the first time. Then they just hand them to you. They don't ask you to sit down and try them on to make sure you are happy and they fit well. I couldn't even see out of mine they had fingerprints all over them. And don't ask why they aren't ready yet you will get major attitude. Very unprofessional. Never going back. read more

This is a great family optical center. I went with my infant and toddler and all three of us had eye exams. I was hesitant that it would not be family friendly and the doctor would be unkind or condescending to my child, who was having his first big boy eye exam. To the contrary! I was pleasantly surprised at his matter of fact way of handling a toddler's wariness. He even spent time talking to him while I chose frames and when business necessitated that he move on, there were toys for my little guy to play with. The optician that assisted me in choosing frames was very kind and not pushy, and didn't try to oversell me on things that I didn't want. The receptionist was also very kind. Customer service seems like a lost art at many businesses today, but not at Inlet Optical. read more
