Best Charter I've taken. Capt. Lynn (?spelling) put us on the fish, was very knowledgable, and had a perfect sense of humor. The boat was small however quite comfortable and more than accommodating for the four of us. Here's the deal, fishing is always a coin toss but based on my experiences your best bet is Inn and Out charters AND ask for Lynn ( she's out fishing the guys).

This was my first time in Alaska and my first time sea fishing and I could not have asked for a better experience then with Captain John Moline! He not only got me hooked onto a 102 pound halibut on day one but more importantly got me comfortable out on the water. John's expertise and knowledge of the area and his trade are top notch, I will be going back again! If you are thinking about going fishing this is the company and the guy to go with!

One of the three day's limits filled with Inn & Out Charters, Seward, AK; also a huge supporter of Wounded Warriors In Action (WWIAF)

Captain Louis worked with us ahead of time to plan a trip that the whole family would love -- a stop at Thumb Cove, picnic on Fox Island, and an incredible view of whale bubble netting in the bay. The trip out to the bay was smooth and boat very clean and comfortable, with life jackets for the kids. We loved our picnic and scenic walk on Fox Island -- kids, dog, and all! Very easy and save to get on and off the boat with our kids and small dog. After our picnic, Captain Louis navigated us to the most remarkable bubble netting whale watch, which felt like National Geographic (see the video here!), and was a highlight of our trip. We will definitely be joining Alaskan Coastal Safari again next time we visit Alaska, maybe for a fishing trip and Bear Glacier!

Captain Louis perfectly tailored our trip to our interests and available time. Bear Glacier was a highlight of our trip with Captain Louis. This was one of the most special things I've seen in my life. If you are in Seward, you need to see Bear Glacier and very few operators go there. Bear Glacier completely blew our minds. I know decades from now, I will still think about that time my husband and I went to Bear Glacier. Captain Louis also took us to see various wildlife: birds of all kinds, a humpback whale, otters, seals, and sea lions. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and the area. Captain Louis brought us to spots that the big tour companies don't go, which I really appreciated.

First the positive: Our captain was very friendly, the boat was very nice. We all got fish, and…read morealmost all of us got halibut! Now the narrative: My brother (who's into fishing like I'm into Yelping) came up to visit from FL. He booked for, and paid for this charter. On the day of, our captain had cancelled due to poor conditions. However, my brother still wanted to go out (I outfitted him and my Mom with my waterproof, warm mountaineering gear), weather be damned. After some confusing communications, Crackerjack made it happen. They put us on a boat with a captain and six passengers: us (a group of 3), a couple (2), and a guy from California (1). The other people on the boat were friendly and we started the day in good spirits. The water quickly got really rough, but we endured. No one got seasick. After getting beaten on the waves for over an hour, we got to a spot that was slightly more calm. Within an hour, I caught a halibut! Then my Mom! Then my brother got a salmon! Then the boat started catching less fish. I'd say most of the fist were caught in the first 4 hours. And ALL of the halibut were caught in this time. The seas were ROUGH, and my Mom and I were out in front. Constant wind, constant side-ways rain, and consistent 5 ft swells battered and chilled our bones. (I'm a part-time photographer and I brought my nice camera, I took zero photos because I was afraid of the swells slamming it against the boat and out of my hands, seriously. This is my mountain/ice/snow/rock climbing camera, mind you.) As noon approached the captain asked us if we wanted to do a half day instead of a full day (which was what we paid for)...it was an emphatic yes from the 3 of us, and from California guy as well...who was looking very pale. Then noon hit and my Mom asked the captain "So is this when you go back for a half-day?" and the Captain said "yes, this is when we *would* go back". A hush of horror came over us. Wait...what? We are staying for more of this punishment? (at this point no one was catching anything) My Mom pressed further "are we going back now?". The captain said nothing out loud, but shook his head in the motion of "NO." This was a complete communication breakdown. I'm assuming the couple didn't want to go back when he polled them? Even so, if 4 of us wanted to go back, but 2 of us don't...the 2 overrule everyone else? I guess these boats are not a democracy. We stayed 3 more hours and caught nothing. California guy was grasping onto the boat, trying not to fall over, as he puked. I still have no idea what actually happened, and why we stayed out for another 3-4 hour brutalization. My guess is that Crackerjack wanted to get that sweet, sweet full-day money for all 6 people. So they didn't much care that one person was puking and the other 3 were checked out and catching nothing. Probably a good charter if the weather is good, though.

Captain Dianne and her…read moreall girl crew are very professional and will walk you through the proper process of landing these beauties. Dianne's boat was equipped with special equipment that no one else in Seward has, which allows her to target the fish. Her boat is well equipped with fresh coffee every morning, very clean and comfortable seating with enclosed area to get out of the weather if necessary (with stove). Very clean bathroom with a sink. Fresh cut flowers throughout the cabin and bathroom. Dianne had a lot of reading material to keep you busy if you wanted to learn more. Start to finish they handled the baiting, rigging, netting and bleeding of the fish professionally. Once the Kings were in the boat, they were dispatched and bled in a separate tub that had fresh water running through. Once the water was clear they were put in saline ice water to chill below 32 degrees until we docked, and then transported straight to the fillet hand that met us at the boat. Once filleted, our fish was taken about 50 feet to J-Docks for vacuum and packing for flight ready transport. We had a layaway with J-Dock and added fish we caught each day. Picked up our fish the morning of the last day, frozen and packaged for flight. Max fisherman on the F/V Florette C. is six and everyone caught their limits of Kings each day we went out. Two of us caught really nice Ivory King Salmon, rare with even higher omegas. All of the Kings we caught were considered feeder kings, and found in salt water. Top notch experience when compared to other charters we took, especially the handling and storage of the Salmon. Captain Dianne's crew- Ace and Katrina were fun to be around and kept fresh bait on and you fishing! They laid out the fish at the end to capture a really nice photo to reflect back on the trip. If your looking for the best Salmon out there, the Florette C. with Captain Dianne and crew will deliver. We had a very nice experience and compared it to other charters that week that still delivered on bagging fish, but didn't handle the fish correctly in our opinion. Hope this honest review helped.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with spectacular glaciers, incredible wildlife, and stunning coastal views everywhere we looked. Our captain was amazing! She did a fantastic job pointing out every scenic highlight and all the sea animals we encountered along the way. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the trip even more enjoyable. A special shout-out to the two young servers on board. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the cruise. When we reached the glacier, they even helped us take photos while we held pieces of glacier ice, creating memories we'll treasure forever. I would 100% recommend this cruise--as long as you don't get seasick. The water can get rough. Unfortunately, even though our daughter took Dramamine before boarding, she still became seasick and couldn't fully enjoy the experience. If you're prone to motion sickness, consider talking to your doctor about stronger prevention options before your trip. Overall, this cruise is an absolute must-do in Seward. Dress warmly, bring a good camera, and prepare for one of the most unforgettable experiences Alaska has to offer!

We did the longest tour they had - the eight hour Northwestern - it was great every minute. We got the perk pass which I would recommend if you care about where you sit - we were the third couple on the boat and got a great seat facing forward. You will have to share with other families as all the seating is group seating but everyone is outside almost the whole time so easy enough to share. Perk pass also includes unlimited soft drinks - since there are three heads on board you will feel free to hydrate. The wildlife and glacier part of the tour is amazing. We saw otters, Stellars porpoise, a Blue whale blowing a rainbow spout!, humpback whales, eagles, puffins, seals, sea lions, and a pod of 12 orcas. Not to mention some incredible islands, glaciers, and mountains. The captain and other staff were experienced and great narrators. I did have a prescription sea sickness patch and it was a bit rocky for about half an hour, but it didn't impact me thanks to the patch - only two or three people seemed really sick. Food was better than I would have thought - cinnamon rolls and yogurt for breakfast. A quinoa chicken southwestern burrito, and a cookie at the end. Also tried the glacierita - when else will you have a chance?? If you're considering this tour - just book now!

Captain Phil filleted our fish and got us over to Captain Jacks seafood locker for processing and shipping. Back to Alaska Summertime Charters.... I read a review where a guy is complaining about the size of the halibut they caught compared to others. Give me a frigin break! What do you want from these people? Its not like they have a crystal ball and know where the biggest fish will be. You drop a line, it lays on the bottom and with any luck a halibut will take it. With better luck a big halibut will take it. Believe me, Captain Phil and Alaska Summertime Charters want us all to catch barn door halibut. That doesn't happen that often. Alaska Summertime Charters provided a good boat, Captain Phil did a great job of getting us out and back safely. He worked throughout the day to help us be successful. Every one of us left completely satisfied. I give them 5 stars because Yelp doesn't have 10. For your comfort, bring food and drinks. Wear boots and have rain gear. Not for lack of trying. Phil did his best. Hey, its fishing not everyday is going to be the best. Phil was a great captain, and was patient with my wife and a teen that had not fished before.
