The Blair House most undoubtably deserves this rating, no question. A happen chance to find, we had to do a last minute drive from Halifax to St. Stephen and were too exhausted to make the return trip the same day. A combination of Tom Tom and Yelp said this little gem was less than 2km away from the border. No pictures, no reviews and no way of knowing what we'd find we gave a call. The owner David answered despite the lateness of the evening and said he indeed had one room available and we could come right on over. First off David may be one of the nicest people I've met in a long time. He didn't hesitate to spend a little time getting to know us even though it was well past "guest hours". At 9p at night he advised us to go out and find some food then return and take care of the paperwork...seriously who does that? The house. I won't even try to describe it. I can't do it justice. It's divine. Trust me. The room. We were given the only room on the main floor so I can't speak to the other rooms but this one was lovely. Queen size bed with super comfy bedding (the kind that makes you want to stay under covers all day). Extremely clean and stocked with those scratchy kind of towels you Canadians seem to love so much...oh the reason for the scratchiness? Yhea that's because they hang those towels out fresh on the line to dry all year round (as permissible). A lovely personal touch if you ask me. We woke up the next morning and sat down to a delicious home prepared breakfast of which David took before retiring the night previous. Didn't write a damn thing down and what do you know; everything came out just as we asked. You'll get your choice of grapefruit or fresh fruit cup (I had the fresh fruit with a dollop of greek yogurt). Then you'll either enjoy blueberry pancakes or a standard English breakfast of eggs, sausage, grilled mushroom, tomato and toast. Your meal will be topped off with coffee and a carafe of orange juice if you please. This place is the epitome of "Home sweet home". Other awesome things to know: * Tea is available 24 hrs/day * There will be a stash of cookies with said tea * This place won't break the bank (Summer rates are between $100-$120 / night) * Each room comes with a "faux" fire place * Cable TV/Wifi is provided for guest * Lots of nearby restaurants * The US/Canadian Border is less than 5 mins away.

It is a wonderful place to stay. It is very clean, comfortable, the breakfast is always outstanding, and Dave couldn't be more congenial. I managed to get in some telework okay, but this does not strike me as a place where most people will want to spent a ton of time on the internet.

We decided to sit at the bar and met LARRY! He was wonderful. So many locals in the restaurant and many willing to just sit and talk! We got the special of Lobster and the Haddock special and wowzah the food was great. Larry made sure we had everything we needed and took very good care of us! We even got help from a local on how to eat this massive Lobster! PROS: Amazing vibe within the restaurant Views are wonderful, off the ocean Locals bar so you feel very at home Fresh seafood, lots of drink options CONS: Parking could be a problem, but we were there off season Make sure you stop in and ask for Larry.

Peggy & Murvin (the owners) were very friendly and inviting. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had freshly baked bread and home made jams with breakfast--which was delicious! The view from the room overlooks the Bay of Fundy and its really beautiful! It's about an hour drive to Saint John where you and catch the ferry to Nova Scotia. Theres not to much to do in the town of Saint George which is about 10 mins from the B&B but its a cute town and wonderful place to relax if your traveling the Canadian Coast. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The accommodations truly feel like visiting the grandparents' place, too - the rooms are in the lower level of the house, with a slight basement feel to it, but with a great entrance to the back yard that has chairs to sit and look at the bay (we even saw some seals). Unfortunately, the mosquitos can be a buzz kill to that serenity, so bring along some bug block, and pack in a bottle of wine or a few beers to sit and enjoy the view. The walls are a bit thin, but with only two rooms, the place doesn't get too rowdy. Breakfast was pleasant, and our hosts sat with us while we ate, which was nice to chat and learn more about the area. They are both born and raised natives of the area, and know the area quite well. This place is a great alternative to staying in St. John's, as it's only an hour away and in the direction of the border, if that's the way you need to be going. It only takes a few hours to get from here to Bangor, so it was a perfect place to stay after our ferry ride from Nova Scotia to break up the distance and time of traveling, and to avoid both Bangor and Saint John's for a more fresh-air stay for the night. However, please note that if you take the late afternoon ferry from Digby, you should stop and eat dinner in Saint John before coming this way. There are almost zero options of places to eat in the area.

We enjoyed a week in Corea Village, Maine with a great view, a pretty Victorian historic home and the best innkeepers around! Their breakfasts are outstanding ! You will be skipping lunch after one of their breakfast servings! The innkeepers are wonderful, friendly and very helpful with giving directions, suggesting places to visit and making our stay an outstanding get away! Very accommodating and we appreciated their asking about food sensativities! They go the extra yard which is hard to fine these days! We cannot wait to go back!

It didn't break the 60's the entire time we were there - with one morning in the 40's! STUNNING! Now. The inn is gorgeous. Maintaining a 100+ year home must be a challenge, however, it is decorated so well. Just the loveliest. Comfortable. Close to town. Close to Arcadia. This is a must for families (or couples seeking a romantic weekend). The food was a 10/10. Stunning. Absolutely loved this stay.

Absolutely awesome in every way! Paul and Marge were amazing hosts. They were very present around…read morethe property, but never intrusive or in the way. The house is charming and very clean. Across the road is a river basin with a family of bald eagles nesting in the trees clearly visible from the house. At night you could hear the baby eagles chittering back and forth with the parents. Opening the windows in the master bedroom gave you the soothing sounds of the tidal river as it flowed past the house. Paul has a friend who is a lobsterman, and he obtained and steamed for us three monstrous lobsters. So good! Very conveniently located on the main road, 5 minutes drive to Machias and 25 minutes to Lubec and the Canadian border. We will absolutely stay here again!

Had the time of my life and the owner, Martha is an absolutely talented and amazing chef. I stayed here a week while visiting the most eastern and northern point in the US. During the actual wedding ceremony we all felt as though she was lurking behind trees watching everyone. It was sketchy. Then come to find out she put some bullshit charges on the bride and grooms bill because there was make up on one towel.
