My boyfriend and I stayed in the Hawthorne Suite for Valentine's Day Weekend. It was super clean and comfortable, overall great ambiance. The tv had all the streaming apps which was nice when we wanted to relax and have a slow morning after breakfast. The bathroom had a jacuzzi which was a great addition and a balcony with chairs to get some fresh air and enjoy a cup of coffee. We felt super comfortable like we were staying at a family members home. The food presentation was great and delicious. We would definitely stay again. We haven't been to this bed-and-breakfast since before Covid and it was wonderful to be back. I've always loved this charming inn. They have renovated since the last time I was here and I love the updates. The location is perfect, a couple blocks from the beach and a short walk to town. This visit we stayed in the Hawthorn king-size room. The room had a Jacuzzi bathroom, a comfortable king size bed and a large balcony. Every space throughout the inn is well appointed and clean. Kevin, the innkeeper, is warm and engaging. He sees to your every need and we looked forward to seeing him every day. The breakfasts provided every morning in the dining room are delicious and beautifully presented. Coffee or tea is available anytime of the day in a little room off the dining area. The inn is secured with a keypad on the front door so only the guests have access, and there's plenty of parking on site as well. I highly recommend Inn at the Park. read more

We had a perfect, refreshing 3 days staying at the Inn. Our room was the Hawthorn with a king size bed, jacuzzi tub and private balcony. I loved being able to step onto the balcony and enjoy the sun and front garden. The attention to detail was thought out in every room throughout the Inn. We felt at home and welcomed by staff every morning as we entered the cheerful dining room, full of light and looking out onto the front garden. Each table had fresh flowers from the gardens. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and served on lovely china. The food was superb! We enjoyed great conversations with the owner, staff and guests. My husband and I took a our first trip to South Haven, MI and chose Inn at The Park for our stay! The hosts and innkeepers were so nice and offered great suggestions for restaurants etc! We stayed in the Magnolia Suite which has been updated with decor as you can see in my picture. It's such a beautiful room with a large whirlpool tub, they had a sweet treat in our room when we arrived and also have bathrobes to add to the coziness! The breakfasts on both mornings was so delicious and a great way to start our day! Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for your stay in South Haven! read more

Maybe the cleaning crew missed our room for months. The carpet was very dirty and stained. The bathroom vent/fan was dirty and filled with cobwebs. The smell in the room reminded me of a funeral home. Also, the walls were so thin you could here people taking a shower in a different room in the middle of the night as well as the people next door watching pornography. For $339 a night in October, most people would and should expect a very clean room. The tv (not smart by the way) looked like it was from 1996. It was so small it could hardly be seen from the bed. Avoid this place at all costs. The owner was surprised by my low rating....Come on now, a clean room is important to everyone...... read more

Stayed with Carol-Ann & Jerry third week of March and were immediately welcomed! Carol-Anne is well-versed in l'art de recevoir! I arrived with my partner for a relaxing long weekend hoping to explore South Haven and it's environs, including wineries just south in Berrien Springs and Baroda. I was concerned that we would not arrive at a proper hour: arriving after 9:00 pm, yet Carol-Ann quickly reassured me that a note would await our late arrival with instructions on how to enter, information about the property and a key placed in our room. She also prompted us explore several other suites that were available that night and weekend for an additional few dollars. I welcomed the upgrade, but in the end we declined. The room (Willow) was as I expected, well-appointed, secluded in a corner of the home on the second floor away from potential guest traffic. The bed was comfortable; fireplace was simple to work and jacuzzi provided a gentle closing to one evening. Several highlights and features perhaps not mentioned on the website: 1. This property is located within ten minutes walking to the centre of the town. 2. The Depot, a well-established wine and spirits purveyor just two blocks away offers a good selection of Michigan and local wines! 3. Bicycles may be offered during warmer months! Speak with Carol-Ann directly! 4. If you fancy a film at the cinema, ask Carol-Ann for her popcorn bucket. The deal: $5.50 is the price per ticket to a film and this includes a bucket of popcorn and a soft drink! 5. The inn provides an honour-system public fridge to house one's left-overs and such and provides a few sodas ($ 1.00). 6. Their website proclaims a gourmet breakfast and indeed it is! I couldn't believe each serving of fruit salad included fruit which was perhaps not in season, though ripe and delicious! Carol-Ann and Jerry ensured that one's coffee was always fresh and hot and provided conversation making one feel like a member of the family! Again, although we visited during the off-season in South Haven, I certainly plan to return and to stay at the Inn! While we didn't explore the multiple common areas: pub (where complimentary hors d'oeuvres are offered), salon and game-room I look forward to the next séjour! We recently visited Inn at the Park to celebrate our anniversary. Before booking online, I contacted the innkeeper, Carol Ann with a few questions. She was very polite and professional on the phone as well as kind. She happily answered all my questions and went out of her way to make sure we felt welcome. I chose to book the Sycamore suite because it had a fireplace, a king sized bed and a 2 person whirlpool tub. The room was just as lovely in person as it was in the pictures online. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and Carol Ann remembered our phone conversation, which I thought was very nice. Kevin showed us around the Inn and to our room. I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh baked goodies and chocolates in our room waiting for us. We both thought it was a very nice touch. Both Carol Ann and Kevin made conversation with us, and we found we were both going to the same restaurant, Taste, for dinner. They were both kind enough to share some of their favorites on the menu with us. In the morning we woke up to the smell of a great breakfast and as we came downstairs were warmly welcomed to a table. Both Carol Ann and Kevin chatted with us and asked about our experience at dinner the night before. They're both so personable and pleasant and you can tell they love what they do. They served us a lovely breakfast that we both really enjoyed. Later as we were checking out we had a nice conversation with Carol Ann about upcoming events in the area. Overall a lovely trip, made even better by our great experience with Carol Ann and Kevin at Inn at the Park. Thank you for a lovely time and for making our anniversary trip a great one! My husband and I bought a 2-night stay from Living Social and thought we could use it for our anniversary in July but quickly found out when we called to make a reservation from Carol-Ann the fine print didn't allow us during the peak season so we had to settle for fall. What a pleasant surprise to us that the days we chose (October 3 & 4) we had perfect weather, it was the perfect time to get away and the other guests at the Inn were so enjoyable to share the house! We went with the intention of biking and wine tasting but the weather was beautiful - 78 degrees in October - we ended up never making it to the wineries! Biking, shopping and being at the beach were so much more enjoyable! In Michigan you have to soak up the sun and outdoors as much as possible before the chill sets in! Some positives about the Inn & South Haven area: ~The Inn is within ten minutes of walking to downtown! Many places to dine & shop. ~The Kal-Haven trail starts about 1/2 mile from the Inn and goes all the way to Kalamazoo! Its not paved but is groomed and very well taken care of and oh so pretty! Several places along the way to get snacks or drinks to rehydrate - signs are out! ~We stayed in the Tamarack Room - #1 most important to me is cleanliness! And our room was clean, neat, had everything we needed, and oh so pretty and comfortable, even a jacuzzi tub!! ~The Inn is so comfortable, relaxing and has many little spots to explore, sit, read, and has the feel like you're right at home. ~The Inn provides an honor-system public fridge to house one's left-overs and such and provides a few sodas or water ($ 1.00). ~Their website proclaims a gourmet breakfast and indeed it is! Carol-Ann and Jerry ensured that one's coffee was always fresh and hot and the food was delicious! She even shared a recipe with me!! ~Someone is always there on the property to help with anything you may need. We loved that the Inn has a access code so no fumbling with extra keys or getting locked out! ~Not sure if the guests were just quiet or the rooms are very sound proof. We didn't hear much noise at all! ~Loved all the stained glass! Again, although we visited during the off-season in South Haven, we certainly plan to return and to stay at the Inn! My husband and I stayed here for a quick one night getaway for our anniversary. It can be challenging to find a bed-and-breakfast that allows a one night stay at a reasonable price, and we were happy to find both in Inn at the Park. Hopefully we weren't loud, but we did not hear the other guests and noise wasn't a problem. We loved the Jacuzzi tub, and it was walking distance from the main strip in South Haven. There was a mix of age ranges of couples staying there, and it was very cozy and homey! Breakfast was great and the hosts were very kind. We had booked the Juniper room and ended up being moved to the Sycamore room, and were given a bottle of champagne as a thank you for the switch. The Sycamore is much larger and cuter in person than I originally thought from pictures online, so hope this is a helpful tip for others looking to stay as well! We found the room a bit warm but were able to crack a window and it was very comfortable. Very comfy beds and we wish we could have stayed longer! read more

Delightful place, location was great, easy walk to the lake and downtown area. All our expectations were satisfied. Very clean, cozy and quiet, background music plays softly in common areas, food was very good, and Jerry has a good sense of humor while following Carol's "ToDoList". Carol and Jerry make a good team. Garden was peaceful to relax in while we enjoyed our glass of wine and watched the butterflies and hummingbirds feast on the wide variety of flowers. So, my opinion is biased, because I spent time here with my wonderful husband on a fun, spontaneous trip. That said, it's a cute little place, with approximately a million different floral prints and some of the shittiest wifi that 2016 has to offer. It's a quick walk to get your toes in the sand, and very close to town. I would have appreciated a heads up that they set the AC to 60 degrees-after a hot day, and while the temp in the room was apparently still plummeting, we thought the room was perfect, but come morning we were shivering. I would have opened a window, but at least one in our room had a handwritten sign on it saying it was broken. read more

This place was awesome and exceeded our expectations. I'm not sure what else can be said. When we checked in, the owner was extremely nice - introduced herself and actually took some time to chat with us. After our conversation, the inn manager came over and introduced himself to us and gave us a brief tour of the property before showing us to our room. My only suggestion would be to serve a light appetizer and 1/2 glass of wine every night. Really, this cannot cost much - maybe $25? In fact, I'm sure you could strike a deal with a local winery to feature their wines at your inn and give you the wines for a very steep discount. Very nice B&B. It's close to the street and just area of town which makes it kind of loud. But also good to be close to that part of town.

My husband had a wonderful stay. It was our first time staying in a B and B and we are now convinced that this is the way to go. We booked a less expensive room, but when we arrived, we were upgraded to a larger room. At the happy "Half Hour", we enjoyed a glass of wine and appetizers. My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway for our anniversary; we decided to check out South Haven. Turned out to be a great town by a great lake and the Inn at the Park made our trip that much more enjoyable. Carol Ann and Jerry were fabulous hosts and extremely accommodating to our food allergies. I am going out on a limb here and saying I would put those homemade gluten free muffins up against any top chef's :) With all of its southern charm, our room was so comfortable it was hard to leave the king size bed - except of course to use the Jacuzzi tub! The Inn is located in a perfect setting, close to the beach and close to town - easy walking on a nice day. Carol Ann's recommendations for restaurants, wineries, and orchards were excellent; we had a wonderful stay enjoying Michigan's beautiful fall colors. DON'T BOTHER! You will know from the very 1st conversation you have with these people that customer service is not a concern of these folks. If you even manage to secure a reservation at this elitist and prejudicial establishment, beware. You will want to ensure you are paying full price for the room (avoid using Groupon/Living Social), because otherwise, they will fight you tooth an nail to prevent you from taking up space that could be better utilized by customer's paying "full price". I honestly cannot speak to the quality of the building itself, but as a result of the abhorent quality of personnel, we will be staying with a more down to earth and customer oriented establishment when we visit South Haven. We have stayed at Inn at the Park several years now. We enjoy the area and come back once a year usually on our anniversary weekend. The Inn is beautiful, is centrally located between the beach and the shops in South Haven.. The owners are friendly and the breakfasts are delicious. Located near many of the vineyards and within driving distance of many other Lake Michigan beach towns. Love the Inn. read more

We spent our 23rd anniversary at this lovely little inn and enjoyed every unique aspect of it. We stayed in the Spruce room which is one of the smaller rooms but very nicely appointed with a gas fireplace, mood lighting, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was egg bake, yogurt with fresh blueberries and granola, sausage patty, and potatoes. Fresh coffee was made an hour before... The innkeepers called you by name, treat you as family. Not worth it. They claim to have a gourmet breakfast, but us and a few other guests (the guys) don't think that a egg quiche and fruit or a too sweet french toast and fruit with one sausage patty constitutes gourmet!. The website pictures of the outside eating area showed it to be a lot larger than it is..... Having a limit on check in (Must be checked in by 7pm - 8pm) prevented us from seeing the fireworks in Saugatuk... Very disappointed that we missed them. They switched the keys with us and another guest so they couldn't lock their door and we couldn't get in at 11pm. We were not told about the free glass of wine at 5pm.... So all of this makes paying the over 225.00 a night... Way too expensive for my taste... read more

The Inn at the Park is probably my favorite bed and breakfast in South Haven! This June, a friend and myself went on a bed and breakfast crawl of sorts, and this establishment was just one of the stops along the way. The Pros- *The breakfast was amazing! We were treated to delicious french toast, hot from the oven, as well as an array of hot and cold beverages, pastries, and fruit. *The location is ideal. It really is just steps from a gorgeous little park, and the walk into town is very reasonable. The highlight of its location is that it is less than a five minute walk to the shores of Lake Michigan. *The service was very good! The innkeepers checked us in with a smile, then basically gave us privacy to explore and get settled. They were very accommodating when it came to meals, as I am a vegetarian, and they were personable and friendly over breakfast. *The room was perfect. The decor definitely said "bed and breakfast." I'm talking about floral prints, lace, and those little touches that make you smile. We stayed in the Willow room, which had a wonderful view of a back garden; I highly recommend this room!
