The hotel provides everything you need for a relaxing day at the beach, chairs, towels and umbrellas. Our room was spotless and had a fully kitchen equipped with everything we needed to prepare a meal, coffee and teas as well. We also had table and chairs on our veranda. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. Bikes are available if you are inclined. The Inn provides 5 star accommodations with a more intimate feel. We absolutely loved this place. Teena was so thoughtful and hospitable. They offered beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, ice makers in the room, and the best part was riding bikes to the local restaurants. We enjoyed our local honeymoon before leaving to Europe next month. We will be back soon! The only downside is we were able to hear our neighbors as the building is 100 years old, and the walls are a bit thin. Not a deal breaker though... read more

Living in upstate New York, I was excited to have a business trip to Tampa, Florida in March. As soon as my wife heard where I was headed, she decided she was coming and we were adding time so we could go to St. Petersburg for some beach time. We had visited once before and stayed in a tourist area that was busy and loud. We had driven around and found Pass-A-Grille and my wife noticed The Inn at the Beach. She declared next time we will stay there and this is just what we did. What an excellent decision. The Inn is nestled in a residential area so it was quiet and quite beautiful. The rooms all have names and each is unique. We stayed in Sunrise which had a balcony off to the side providing nice views of the beach. It was great for winding down each night with a drink and hearing the ocean. The Inn is just a short walk across the street to the beach and the Inn provides chairs and umbrellas. An extra nice touch, they have a cooler in the room while providing ice so you have everything you need to enjoy the sun and water. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and included amenities like nice thick towels and bathrobes. The staff were all very friendly and right on top of any requests we had during our stay. The location is a short drive to restaurants and shopping and parking is free. We even found a few restaurants within walking distance that surprised us with the quality of the food. Both my wife and I look forward to coming back to the Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone who asks. Our only regret is our time at the Inn wasn't long enough. read more

I didn't want to leave! This was the cutest little boutique inn... it had an incredibly laid back vibe with every amenity you needed. Incredibly clean and incredibly caring staff. We were welcomed in by seeing a board with our names on it, by the name of our room, so super cute. Our room was beautiful. The kitchen was small, but spread out and easy to access everything. There was a small fridge, the only downside to that is it was more of a beverage cooler so it didn't get super cold. But just having a fridge in our room was so convenient. There was also a stove top and a microwave. I included a picture of the welcome guide below because it was so cute. It listed places to go, things to see and really simple things about the Inn. There were two air-conditioning units for our room which was amazing. There was also remote control fans and two gigantic big screen TVs which I don't think we ended up using because the area has so much to do. You are literally steps away from seashells, sand and ocean waves. The linens were clean and comfortable. The bed was a little stiff and not as cozy... and I really wish it would've been a king size but that room was taken. They really thought of everything. Downstairs they have ice for the cooler that they provide you to take to the beach in your room. They also have a little table of bug spray and sunscreen in case you forgot some. Coffee starts at 7 AM and they have a late breakfast fare a little later in the morning. While enjoying your morning coffee you can stroll around the grounds and see all the rocks that people have filled out with little messages from their stay (and they have sharpies to do your own!) And they have bikes to use! We cannot wait to return to this place. I can't even begin to describe how high they set the bar. read more

I just loved my stay at Inn on the Beach! A great location, great customer service and incredible accommodation! Love. Love. Love. I can't think of a single piece of critical feedback. Nada. Okay, yes I can. Why do hotels and such insist on a bar of soap for bathroom handwashing? Hotels are the only place left with bars of soap for washing your hands. Are they in cahoots with the bar soap people? Don't get me wrong, I'm all about handwashing but give me that liquid hand soap in the pump bottle please. Walk across the road and you're at the beach honey! I stayed in the Juneberry room which has a small balcony and I could see the ocean from my balcony! What a relaxing view! During my stay I did indeed walk across the road to the beach, I was so glad that I did! I took a long walk on the beach in the warm sun, watching a diverse array of birds, a golden retriever fetching a tennis ball in the ocean and feeling the sand between my toes. I even saw dolphins doing little dolphin flips above the water! That was so cool! Have you ever been on spring break? Where the beach is loud, crowded and a constant party. Well, there is none of that energy here. It's chill, relaxing and restorative. It sure was for me! The Inn on The Beach has really thought about everything that guests might need. My room was stocked with a full kitchen for my use. I loved being able to open windows and get fresh air unlike many hotels. Guests are provided with a complimentary breakfast on the weekends; it consisted of fruit, pastries, coffee and tea. My room was actually much bigger than I expected from seeing the photos online. We came in town from South Florida for a friend's wedding in St. Pete. After looking at the bigger, pricier options recommended (Don Cesar, Hotel Zamora, Rumfish and Tradewinds) and not being inspired by any of them, a friend recommended this charming little place in the Pass A Grill area of St Pete Beach, a stone's throw away. It was perfect! Pretty and quiet little area that's very close to the more "happening" St Pete area. The Inn has all the benefits of the bigger places, and then some. Private and free parking-no pain in the butt valet. Right across from the beach. Friends attending the same wedding lodged here as well and all of us had positive experiences. First, it was very clean. The rooms are comfortable and cute, tastefully decorated with beachy decor. The 3 units I saw all had king beds, kitchenettes and spacious showers. Ours was the Sunset room, which is on the 2nd floor and has a balcony with a side view of the beach. Perfect spot to drink morning coffee (all rooms have coffee makers with all the fixings) seated in one of the tall stools with my feet up on the balcony railing. Awning over part of it if you want shade, and even a lounge chair. Loved my morning coffee perch. If you like this sort of thing and have a choice, definitely get a 2nd floor room Bc while the first floor rooms are nice, you can't see the beach over the sand dunes. Our friends stayed in the Hibiscus room and Clementine. Hibiscus was the biggest of the 3, and has its own courtyard, which is cool, but again, can't really see the beach. Clementine was smaller with no courtyard or balcony but clean, cute and comfortable. Probably decently cheaper too. Not that the Inn was expensive, by comparison to the other places mentioned above. All 4 of those were pricier and didn't offer what we got. Definitely made the right call. Other perks: The Inn has beach cruiser bikes available for guests to cruise around the area. They have an abundance of beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and even coolers, making the short walk across the street to the beach that much more convenient and enjoyable. It was awesome, frankly, to have all those details covered. Chelsea was on-site most of the time and anything I needed, she immediately provided. Like extra coffee or make-up wipes. You have the option of daily housekeeping (or opting out if you have concerns about covid). They keep in touch with you regularly by text. Each morning I got a text from Chelsea asking if I needed fresh towels, housekeeping or any items. When do you ever get service like that at a bigger hotel? Can't say enough about this little gem of a place. They have a community area between the units with picnic tables and umbrellas. One of our friends said it was reminiscent of "Melrose Place" (showing my age, here) and that's a pretty apt description, where we could hang and be social among the palm trees and such, and run up to our rooms if we needed to grab a drink. Super chilled place to hang out and be social, yet escape to our rooms for privacy. Finally, the Inn normally provides breakfast on weekends but since the pandemic, they do more of a grab-and-go. I've never seen a hotel do this with such class and thoughtfulness to details. They have individual containers of fresh berries (blueberries, cherries and strawberries)--really a nice touch. They offer pastries from a local French bakery that were fresh and freaking delicious. They even had little wellness shot bottles--ginger, lemon and cayenne pepper blend. What a nice touch for folks who like that, and I do, so I was thrilled. Big bowl of fresh fruit too-bananas, apples, oranges, plums. Individually wrapped biscotti. Individual bottles of oat milk. Oatbowls in their own containers. So basically, a range of healthy to less healthy options. Very impressed with their selection. Any concerns I had were minimal and don't affect my rating. We had a near perfect stay. I would definitely return if I had reason to come back to St. Pete. Highly recommend. read more

Stayed here with my husband and two kids ages 1 and 8. We had the Egret room. It is a small hotel right on gulf and across the street from the beach which is very convenient. The room was a decent size, very clean and nicely decorated. It has a small kitchen with just about everything you would need; plates, silverware, pots and pans, mugs, coffeemaker, toaster etc..They have towels, beach chairs and some beach toys available for your use at no charge too. The area is very quiet with not too much going on. I wish there was more to do or at least a Starbucks ( though I highly recommend the Paradise Sweets for breakfast) but that's just me. Overall, had a nice time while staying here. My only complaint would be that the bathroom was very hot since there is no ac vent in it but we just kept the door open and it helped. We trusted the online reviews as we had never been to Pass-a-grille and I am so glad we did! This place is amazing - nicely decorated, newly remodeled, clean, private and very close to the beach! Sometimes it is difficult to vacation if the rental is not as nice as home but this (while different) is comparable in decor and cleanliness. The inn keepers are friendly and very helpful! We were provided coffee, beach chairs, an umbrella, a beach cart and beach towels. Since we flew down this was extremely convenient. Breakfast on the weekends is an added bonus. Pastries, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The location can't be beat. We walked with our toddler to the restaurants six streets over. Enjoyed dinner and a sunset walk back to our cottage. As an overly picky person (just ask my husband) I would highly recommend renting at Inn on the Beach! We stayed in the cottage and loved it! read more

What a gem! Truly I had the most relaxing few days in a long while. I opted to stay in the Spoonbill room and it was really nice. My favorite thing about the room was the balcony. Two comfy chairs for lounging and a small table for your drinks. You literally can see the waves crashing in from the balcony. It's nice to enjoy the beach view with more privacy. The room has tile floors which is so nice. No nasty carpet to deal with. My favorite thing about the Inn was all the beach amenities they provided. Coolers, ice, bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, and even beach towels! It was perfect not having to lug all that stuff from home. I very much appreciated them provided that plus private parking. Continental breakfast and coffee/tea is served on Saturday and Sundays and I loved they had the thinner bagels. That was the perfect start to our day. Sitting on the shaded balcony with breakfast, a cool breeze, the sound of the waves and doing what I love....people watching LOL Ms. Dee and Abraham are such kind people. Honoring our requests with a smile, and making sure we were comfortable. I will say if you're a light sleeper then you need to stay in The Cottage or the Inn Keepers House. It's private and detached from the Inn and other guests so you don't hear the noise of people coming and going or people chatting in the courtyard. It didn't bother us much but I could see how it may be a problem for some. If you're looking to stay in a place thats clean, has personality and all the comforts of home then look no further. We stayed in the "Spoonbill" room. REALLY nice room with a great kitchen area - small fridge, sink, and coffee maker. We had plenty of room in the main area but the bathroom was itty bitty! Doable though (think European). We had friends over for cocktails and there was room to sit and chat in the little side alcove once we opened the doors and included the patio as part of the room. The inn keeper is Sheila (I think that's right) but in any case she was really nice and very accommodating. Folks in this little get away (mostly locals spot) are very friendly if you don't act a fool (i.e., tourist). Most places on the peninsula are in walking distance but if it's super hot or really late driving is not difficult - parking can be. When we were there there were bikes for use by guests though we did not use them. There were also some beach chairs etc. for those who came to the beach unprepared (?!) I've never stayed anywhere else in Pass-A-Grille and have recommended this place to many friends who have also fallen in love. 4 stars for the queen bed - there is room for a king and my husband & I (used to a king) spent the first night getting used to it! read more

My wife and I have stayed at the Inn On the Beach a number of times over the last few years. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and often in between one of our annualish stays, a room or two has been completely remodeled and modernized. The beach could not be any closer and it's a short and pleasant jaunt down to the restaurants on Pass-a- Grille. There have a been a few stays where I've realized that I haven't ventured more than a couple blocks after a week. All and all, it's a great little inn with lots of charm. read more

Lovely Inn right on the beach. We stayed Wed-Saturday and found the inn to be quaint and charming. Parking is free, they provide beach chairs, towels and umbrellas and each room comes with a beach cooler. The kitchenette has everything you need from pots and pans, utensils and dishes, a toaster, microwave and stove. I appreciated the email letting us know our room was ready (at 1:45 vs check in of 3). And although we were unable to stay in our room for a late checkout (the room was booked for the Saturday we were leaving), we were warmly told to stick around, use the chairs, towels and umbrella and stay parked for as long as we needed - how nice! We stayed in the Hibiscus room. It was smaller in size but with a fully stocked kitchenette, king bed and large shower, it was well-appointed. We did not have a private patio or balcony, rather a shared one with the room next store. Lucky for us our neighbors didn't arrive until our last day, but we would have preferred more privacy (this is made clear in booking, just for future reference). The location is great, Pass A Grille is a cute little area with a few shops and restaurants and the most beautiful beaches. We enjoyed being a little more "off the beaten path," traveling just a few miles downtown for dinner most nights. One thing I missed was that they do have some bikes available. We only noticed them as we were leaving and would have loved to use them! One day the ice cooler was empty for a short time, but it was quickly replenished. Coffee is out every morning at 7am which is a nice start to the day. One suggestion, I would have loved a broom in my room just to sweep up some sand, that fine white sand will stick to you even after using the foot shower they provide. Next time I would fork over a few more dollars for a second floor room; the views from the front rooms look breathtaking and in retrospect I wish I had just booked one. All in all, this Inn has you covered and there are no parking, internet, resort or beach chair fees which many larger hotels demand. They really make it easy for you to just relax and that we did! Our daughter got married last weekend on Pass-a-Grille Beach; and, Inn on the Beach was the perfect place for out-of-town guests and the wedding party. We had nine rooms at the hotel--each unique, but really great coastal decor. This became our home, thanks to both the hotel and helpful staff, for an incredible two days. The bride and groom spent two nights in the honeymoon suite--what a way to start a marriage! The pictures on the website are awesome, but when you see the rooms, you will be blown away. Everyone said they will be staying there again. For our family, it is now our "go to" hotel for special events. read more

My husband and I just got back from a very relaxing weekend in Pass-a-grille, and this adorable inn was an integral part of our experience. We stayed in the Gardenia suite, a room on the second floor with a private balcony overlooking the Gulf. Check-in was easy, and the innkeeper and her staff were friendly and attentive. Parking is free. The decor in the room was 'beach-y' and quaint, the room was clean, and the queen bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast in the courtyard was convenient before heading out to the beach (which, by the way, is only a few hundred feet from your room!) My only complaint is the size of the bathroom. Two normal-sized adults could not stand next to each other in that bathroom. Looking at photos of other rooms, it appears that this situation may be unique to the Gardenia, but I would caution anyone who is big/tall/likes a spacious bathroom to choose another room. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. We will be sure to recommend this to friends here in the Orlando area! read more

We had a perfect weekend staying in the Magnolia room. We saw sunsets on our private balcony, the room was decorated very nicely and the kitchen was fully stocked. Wonderful amenities including a grill, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, ice, breakfast and a welcome basket including coffee mugs and a bottle of wine. Ms. Dee was fabulous. The location of this Inn was fantastic- love that the beach was literally just a few steps from the Inn. The beach was quiet and not crowded in this area. The Inn provided beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas (w/the auger) and they have their own shower outside to wash the salt & sand off afterward. The staff that we met was mostly friendly. I had a lot of issues with room we were in (Juneberry). So, first the only two chairs in the room were wicker and very uncomfortable. Uncomfortable to sit in and to rest your arms on. My husband & I were eat up with mosquito bites, every night we were battling to kill them and wondering where they were coming from, there was a gap on the bottom of the door that we didn't find until night 7 of our 8 nights there. We had tiny ants crawling around the counter and sink area. There were wasps flying around outside the door all day long (yes, one got in the room as we were trying to leave one day). The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable- both sides of the bed had a "dip" that you sank into. Tossed and turned all night trying to get comfortable and woke up every morning with a stiff neck. I would have preferred more than two towels each day as well- you're at the beach and sometimes that requires more than one shower a day... They asked you to re-use your towels for water conservation, so my husband hung his towel up to do so and the maid took it every day and left a fresh one... Beach town- sand everywhere, whether you like it or not. Maybe place a broom in the room??? This room, I can only speak for the room we stayed in, was a huge disappointment for us. read more

Lauderdale, and Savannah yet we came to Pass-A-Grille, to stay HERE! I like bullet points, so let me break it down: - You will not sleep closer to the gorgeous white sands of St. Pete Beach than you will at this place. - A mere eight block (or so) walk will land you at The Wharf--strong, cheap drinks, decent seafood with a saucy crowd and a truly retro jukebox (but that's a whole other review). - Pass-A-Grille is a rare place, and you will not find nicer accomodations, more attentive service at a better value than you will here. read more

Even with all of the information available online, it is still a bit risky to select a place to stay without some kind of recommendations from friends. This time, however, it worked out great. We really like this place. It is so close to the beach (amazing sunsets!) and is a short walk from good restaurants. For me, as a vegan, having the Vida de Cafe 6 short blocks away has been outstanding. My wife (not a vegan) has also really enjoyed the more standard restaurants. Our cottage (Shangri-La) is clean, well-equipped and has covered parking right next to the door. The only complaint is that there is another unit upstairs and the people in it must think they are elephants. This has not cost us any sleep though. Yesterday we drove north to see what the rest of St Pete Beach looks like and we sure picked the right end. Pass-a-Grille is exceptionally nice and once one sees the tacky tourist land that is the rest of St Pete Beach, there is no reason to leave the immediate locale. We also agree with the other reviews that the people who work here are very nice and helpful. We enthusiastically recommend the Inn On The Beach. read more

What a lovely inn. The location was amazing, right across from the beach. I can't say enough about the updated room with all the amenities and a staff that is welcoming and very efficient. We had a family reunion this weekend and had the opportunity to see a guest room in one of the bigger hotels in the area. The rooms could not hold a candle to ours. Best find in Pass a Grille. OK, so we just left, fled, at 5am. The first night was great. Last night we had a stompy, clompy rhino hippo above us who made clompy stompy droppy slidey sounds ALL NIGHT LONG. Sweet jesus, we got zero sleep. The inn needs better insulation no doubt, and they can't control who stays there, but that was the worst nights non sleep I ever got. I do not recommend the inn obviously and certainly do not recommend the Orchid Room or any other room on the first floor, in case a gaggle of rhinos stay the night above you. read more

We live over in Brandon,FL and were trying to have one last little trip by ourselves before having our baby - I was 39 weeks pregnant sporting a bikini on the AWESOME beach just a short walk across the street. IT WAS WONDERFUL!. We stayed in the Blue Heron room which is on the second floor and on the corner facing the Gulf. AMAZING VIEW. AMAZING BED. AMAZING BATHROOM. We ate dinner at the Hurricane - both had the fried grouper sandwich - YUMMY! I would recommend this quaint little Inn to all my fiends and family. Don't go here if you are looking for a "name brand typical resort/hotel." It's a 2 story "old Florida" feel place. I was born and raised in Florida and several of my friends' parents owned hotels similar to this when we were kids. So don't pay attention to some of the negative reviews on here - the place was excellent as long as this is what you're looking for!!! We will definitely be going back when our daughter is older...until then I will suggest my parents stay there when they come to visit! :) read more

We stayed at Inn on the Beach to enjoy a kid free weekend away from the hustle and bustle. We stayed in the Plumeria Room which was very nicely appointed. The room seemed to be newly remodeled, decorated tastefully, and had a fabulous bathroom with huge corner shower. Organic toiletries were a nice touch. The kitchenette had a small stove, microwave, small fridge, coffee maker (bring your coffee, if you plan on making coffee in the room), and all utensils, serving dishes, and cooking supplies are well stocked. The innkeeper, Sheila is fantastic, helpful, etc. The room was very clean upon arrival. My only complaint was that the bed could've been more comfortable, but it wasn't horrible. We both decided it's a great spot for us to getaway and will probably be back to this little gem. read more
