Beautiful hotel, decor, bar, and rooms. Everything is stunning. Such a cool and unique hotel. UNFORTUNATELY and I hate to say anything because it is so cool to look at and experience. The beds here are like a ROCK. Not like a foam mattress rock, like a Spring mattress rock. Pillows are okay, not fabulous, but maybe they change them out a lot? Not the worst pillow of my life, but that mattress was the worst hotel mattress I have ever slept on. I had to get up early just to get out of there as fast as possible due to the mattress. I just don't understand why hotels still have substandard mattresses when you can get tempur type king mattresses in line now for next to nothing. Boggles the mind. I mean talk about return on investment. This is why people come there! To have a good nights rest for whatever reason. Oh, on a side note, I am not a huge fan of window units either, and one was only working so-so but I didn't get overly hot, so no biggie. But...don't expect a freezer box in the heat of the summer. That part was minor compared to the lumpy, bumpy, crunchy cement like bed.

I finally made to their martini Monday event. They offer a variety of super cool martinis of the gin, vodka, tequila and bourbon variety. For $6 all day! Our bartender was great and customized them for us as the martini I wanted was not on the menu (lemondrop). It was simply perfect. For $6 and at the poolside, your martinis will be served in a plastic cup, but delicious all the same.

What a great boutique hotel in downtown! Loved everything about this place! The front desk people were lovely and kind! They offer free wifi, free water bottles, free rides around downtown (drop off and pick up!) free parking! Truly we were very pleased with this little gem and will be back!

A really beautiful boutique hotel in a great area! You are not a far walk from the St Pete Pier and downtown areas! The rooms are adorable, the staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely stay here in the future. We left on Sunday, but could definitely tell that was the busiest time at the pool since that's the day they DJ a pool party. Restaurant food at the pool bar was a great way to start the trip.

The hotel has several buildings and a few lots to park on but being here for Reggae Rise Up gave way to difficulty in parking our rental whenever we needed to leave. They do not charge for daily parking like most hotels so that was a plus! Upon arrival, we were offered free bottles of water which was really any day or time we needed any. There is a 10pm cutoff for the pool, 11pm cutoff for the food and 12am cutoff for the bar so no late-night hotel drinking! You can go down the street to Angelo's and get some late-night eats or drinks. When we were done checking in, we walked down a very narrow hallway to the elevator in which a guest burped in my face in passing. The hotel is very pet friendly, and I could smell where pets may have taken leaks onto the wooden floors. My sense of smell is very strong, so it was a bit overpowering our entire time there. Our bed was as hard as a prison bed, which was a shame for such a beautiful hotel. We woke up with sore hips and body daily. Our bathroom was reminiscent of a cruise ship bathroom - very tiny but manageable. You can also hear every human passing in the hallway. At some point, we heard someone arguing and got very nervous. The pool was not as big as I thought it was from the pictures but the perfect number of people there when we went. We dined at the Tap Room several times there and I got my first coffee at the Common Grounds there. The shuttle was able to take us to the festival each day. The drivers were so much fun (and very handsome). The staff were incredibly nice, and I'd like to come back if they have softer beds.

I went to their Sunday pool party which is free every Sunday:) the food and drink was served at the bar very fast and was delicious. It's alittle pricey (like everything else) but I had a great time. A diverse crowd. The pool isn't huge but it was clean and the DJ was amazing!

Over the years, this has become our go-to boutique hotel when we travel to the Tampa/Saint Petersburg area. Dependably clean and cozy rooms, an exceptional pool area with bar, friendly staff, and perfectly located to walk everywhere we'd like in downtown St. Petersburg. The fact that they have a cafe is a morning bonus! We dine at the restaurant in the hotel most days, delicious and fresh menu with great staff as well. No complaints at all from us, we are grateful for the many good experiences we have had at this lovely hotel.

Having stayed here in December when friends visited from Colorado I chose to take my husband to the Hollander for his 77th birthday. We've been experiencing homeownership tedium as well as health care anguish for nearly a month, and I was concerned about whether I could revive my husband's joi de vivre. From the moment I hinted to Jim that through our booking portal we would be staying at the Hollander BOTH our moods picked up. I was privately reassured that management had arranged an upgrade for our room but had no idea the delight of staying in a third floor suite that was blissfully quiet. A bottle of champagne was even provided! We had dinner out by the pool and the service there was lovely and attentive. A stay like this in the Hollander's cute vintage hotel was exactly what we needed in order to return to 'reality' feeling younger and much better able to resume 'adulting'. Front desk gals are TERRIFIC and the "live and let live" actions/personalities of all staff we met is exceedingly refreshing amidst the decisive havoc of what is currently going on in the U.S. THANK YOU ALL! P.S. Unfortunate that even 1 gloomy review amidst scads of positive ones on TripAdvisor might keep ANYONE from allowing themselves to experience this delightful hotel.

This is the hotel towel that was used to clean the spilled water on the floor. The floor was not clean.

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

The views are beautiful, and the location is right on the beach. There are plenty of spaces in the lobby for working, plenty of meeting rooms (or ball rooms if you're there for a formal event), and areas to just relax or work. The resort provides live music various days of the week as well. I will say that I was surprised about the lack of dining options. There is a lobby bar (which doesn't open until 3pm), and just two restaurant options. Maritana is only open a few days a week and not open until 5:30pm, although the lobby bar does serve a few small plates. The Society Table has a bar within their restaurant (Rowe Bar I believe), and I experienced both as they both have different menus. The lobby bar menu is small but great; the Wagyu Sliders and charcuterie board were both delicious. The wine list is fairly extensive as well. I dined at the society table for lunch on the day that I left and I got the Gumbo with jalapeño cornbread. This was very delicious; I do feel there should've been more than a few pieces of chopped up shrimp. My waitress was wonderful though and very kind as well as the hostess. For the days we were provided food by the resort for the work conference, I was very impressed! All of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were incredibly extensive, fresh, and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The room service menu although overpriced and included a $5 "delivery charge," is very extensive and tasty. For example, an omelet with toast (small salad included with the omelette), was almost $60 including tip. That being said, it was the best omelette I've ever had. The guest services for room service and the cleaners were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Evan! Do note that this is a cashless resort. There are a few shops on the first floor for souvenirs, basic necessities for traveling, and then an adorable little shop/café with ice cream, coffee, wine, snacks, and drinks. On to the room! I really enjoyed my room. I feel like for one person or even two, it's a pretty spacious room. The bed was very comfortable as well as pillows. They cleaned my room each day, and provided new towels. The bathroom was clean and a decent size for one person. All of the events that the hotel put on for our conference were outstanding. We had a welcome party and a beach party, and I was incredibly impressed. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly attentive and kind, and the music wonderful! The Don CeSar was the perfect place for our conference and I would highly recommend a company conference there. Between the delicious food, impeccable service, beautiful resort, and location right on the beach, I would recommend this spot for an event, quick getaway, or staycation.

There was a mini fridge, a safe, a TV (which made our kids very happy), a coffee maker with coffee pods and tea bags, a hair dryer, an iron with an ironing board, an extra pillow, and plenty of towels. The bathroom had wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus hand soap, body lotion, makeup remover wipes, and soft facial tissues. One thing I really appreciated was the extra security. Since the facial and massages are usually $225.each, this is a pretty good deal. The one major downside to the spa is the valet parking. You get two hours validated for $12, but then it is $12 an hour after that. If you get to the spa early to make sure you're not rushed, plus spending time after eating, this ends up being a not inexpensive valet parking bill. I'm really surprised there isn't a flat rate or that they don't validate more of your parking. Especially given how expensive the treatments are. I have to say I like the hard rock spa a lot more. The main reason is because the facilities here are small and seem a little rundown. The actual spa services are separate from where their steam room and salt room is. So you have to walk in your robe through the hallway to get from one to the other. Also, the salt room and steam room weren't turned on when we got there so we had to wait for both rooms to heat up. It is a bit confusing on how to turn them on, so we were lucky that one of the employees was nearby for us to ask. All the services are fantastic though. So if you're coming just for the service and not for a Spa experience, this place is pretty good. The massage was one of the best I've had in a long time. My masseuse really got into my back, which was fantastic. I thought the facial was well done as well. So if your plan is to come solo, this place isn't bad, but if you're coming with friends and want to experience more than just your services, I wouldn't recommend this place. I was also surprised that you don't get access to the pool with your Spa service, which is pretty standard for other places.
