First time in St Pete's and we loved our stay! The rooms were spacious, staff was kind & having the restaurant/bar inside the hotel was super convenient! Coffee shop was great as well. The pool party was fun, not too rowdy & the bartenders did an amazing job of keeping up with how busy it was. We will be staying here again! I didn't stay here, my very dear friend and professional colleague did. He raved about how comfortable he was, how beautiful the decor was, how fun the pool bar is. My personal experience of The Hollander Hotel is what you'd expect from a local: I've had pastries at Common Grounds espresso bar, and even gotten my hair done by the resident stylist (fabulous complicated color job and cut!), and the Tap Room is always packed, so I feel confident in saying that this local hotel is just about perfect! Next, I'm going to try the massage therapists in the East Wing where my hair stylist was. I always recommend this boutique hotel for friends and family coming to visit us St. Pete! Beautiful hotel, decor, bar, and rooms. Everything is stunning. Such a cool and unique hotel. UNFORTUNATELY and I hate to say anything because it is so cool to look at and experience. The beds here are like a ROCK. Not like a foam mattress rock, like a Spring mattress rock. Pillows are okay, not fabulous, but maybe they change them out a lot? Not the worst pillow of my life, but that mattress was the worst hotel mattress I have ever slept on. I had to get up early just to get out of there as fast as possible due to the mattress. I just don't understand why hotels still have substandard mattresses when you can get tempur type king mattresses in line now for next to nothing. Boggles the mind. I mean talk about return on investment. This is why people come there! To have a good nights rest for whatever reason. Oh, on a side note, I am not a huge fan of window units either, and one was only working so-so but I didn't get overly hot, so no biggie. But...don't expect a freezer box in the heat of the summer. I finally made to their martini Monday event. They offer a variety of super cool martinis of the gin, vodka, tequila and bourbon variety. For $6 all day! Our bartender was great and customized them for us as the martini I wanted was not on the menu (lemondrop). It was simply perfect. For $6 and at the poolside, your martinis will be served in a plastic cup, but delicious all the same. read more

The hotel has several buildings and a few lots to park on but being here for Reggae Rise Up gave way to difficulty in parking our rental whenever we needed to leave. They do not charge for daily parking like most hotels so that was a plus! Upon arrival, we were offered free bottles of water which was really any day or time we needed any. There is a 10pm cutoff for the pool, 11pm cutoff for the food and 12am cutoff for the bar so no late-night hotel drinking! You can go down the street to Angelo's and get some late-night eats or drinks. When we were done checking in, we walked down a very narrow hallway to the elevator in which a guest burped in my face in passing. The hotel is very pet friendly, and I could smell where pets may have taken leaks onto the wooden floors. My sense of smell is very strong, so it was a bit overpowering our entire time there. Our bed was as hard as a prison bed, which was a shame for such a beautiful hotel. We woke up with sore hips and body daily. Our bathroom was reminiscent of a cruise ship bathroom - very tiny but manageable. You can also hear every human passing in the hallway. At some point, we heard someone arguing and got very nervous. The pool was not as big as I thought it was from the pictures but the perfect number of people there when we went. We dined at the Tap Room several times there and I got my first coffee at the Common Grounds there. The shuttle was able to take us to the festival each day. The drivers were so much fun (and very handsome). The staff were incredibly nice, and I'd like to come back if they have softer beds. read more

I went to their Sunday pool party which is free every Sunday:) the food and drink was served at the bar very fast and was delicious. It's alittle pricey (like everything else) but I had a great time. A diverse crowd. The pool isn't huge but it was clean and the DJ was amazing! read more

Having stayed here in December when friends visited from Colorado I chose to take my husband to the Hollander for his 77th birthday. We've been experiencing homeownership tedium as well as health care anguish for nearly a month, and I was concerned about whether I could revive my husband's joi de vivre. From the moment I hinted to Jim that through our booking portal we would be staying at the Hollander BOTH our moods picked up. I was privately reassured that management had arranged an upgrade for our room but had no idea the delight of staying in a third floor suite that was blissfully quiet. A bottle of champagne was even provided! We had dinner out by the pool and the service there was lovely and attentive. A stay like this in the Hollander's cute vintage hotel was exactly what we needed in order to return to 'reality' feeling younger and much better able to resume 'adulting'. Front desk gals are TERRIFIC and the "live and let live" actions/personalities of all staff we met is exceedingly refreshing amidst the decisive havoc of what is currently going on in the U.S. THANK YOU ALL! Went here to play trivia with friends and had a good time and enjoyed the food. I actually got the club and wasn't able to eat it all... but in terms of clubs it's nothing special. I kind of wish they had a different trivia person as this guy tends to get a but long winded and his questions are worded weird. The staff was very kind and on top of things and I enjoyed the desserts they offered. Something that was a little frustrating is that it is a one person bathroom per gender and a lot of people use it to get changed before they go in the pool or out so when my kids needed to use the restroom we were often waiting. read more

Good food drinks at the Tap Room. Our room had absolutely filthy floors, which makes me wonder how clean the bathroom and sheets are! Felt like I was trying to sleep in a kennel. We love this spot. We found it because we share the same name. (Unfortunately, it doesn't get us any discounts though!) We travel to St. Pete often because of family in the area. The downtown and beachside park are within walking distance. One of our favorite restaurants is nearby. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is pretty eclectic with tons of photos hanging everywhere- old movie stars in their heyday, historical photos of the area, artwork etc. The rooms are relatively small but functional, clean and comfortable. There's a comfy bar and dining inside and out. We love sitting outside while dining. It's almost like sitting on a big porch. Food is so-so, but definitely adequate. There is also a big outdoor pool with a bar for the party crowd. Ample off street parking as well. Check them out! read more

Great spot, been there a lot and food is good. However, I went on a Wednesday at 6:25 and not an inch at the bar. Waited until 7:30 before leaving. A lot of older folks just sipping drinks with no intention of buying food or leaving while playing on their phones. Groups of two and four sitting at the bar when there are tables open right behind. Was excited and wanted to get a good meal and a few drinks to support local business, but it seems the staff rather milk along a $10 drink than move people out a bit faster so others can come in. Not trying to be rude, but this place is littered with 60+ year olds wanting a "downtown St Pete" vibe without the noise or hassle so you end up with a large older group sipping cocktails and scrolling Facebook forever like zombies. I'll go back, but if the retirement home feels continue I might have to rethink. read more

Very cute and eclectic hotel the staff was very nice. The restaurant downstairs is very convenient. They have just about everything. Bartender made me a fantastic martini. The food was delicious. The only issue I had at one point. I wanted to work downstairs and couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi not sure why but overall fantastic location close to everything self parking available although a little bit limited but will definitely recommend it and come back. read more

Laura is a wonderful waitress in all aspects: You can tell she loves what she does (been at it for 8 years), is attentive to her customers, knows the menu backwards and forwards and is pleasant. I always feel welcomed when she serves me. What more do you want? Oh, and the food and ambiance of The Hollander restaurant make it one of the best restaurants or a place to just grab a drink in all of downtown St. Pete. It's got a good happy hour. If you like vintage, historic, unique hotels then you've found a gem here! 90+ year old property with so much nostalgia, character and charm. It's not modern so don't expect huge room or huge bathrooms. Great bar and dining area, coffee shop, outdoor poolside bar, very nice pool with ample loungers and several cabanas. Free WiFi, free parking and very reasonable rates in a central location. This is the only place I will now stay when I'm in downtown St. Pete! read more

I have been visiting HH for years, never had a bad experience. Everyone that works there is pleasant, professional and accommodating. The pool is amazing, I just wish they would remove the beach balls. The guests that play with them are usually drunk and less than considerate. read more

Turned me and my kids away in the middle of the night due to a discrepancy in dates/times and would not budge. The ambiance of the lobby bar is phenomenal. Not something I would expect in a St Pete hotel. Very warm and welcoming. I've only been for "Martini Monday" which serves several varieties for $6 of which I think the Espresso Martini is he best on the menu. Although, the standard Dirty Martini is pretty amazing too. If you're nice you can get stuffed olives. There is an appetizer menu that offers discounted options as well. All of which have proven to be excellent. Although I haven't tried out their pool, there is a bar there as well and I believe you can pay on the weekends to reserve a cabana and have poolside cocktails and food. That is on the list for summer no doubt. read more
