A coffeehouse and bakery named with a word that means no name. I get the irony of it. If you can't decide on a name, then don't. Perfect. While the name could lead to some confusion over what is within the walls, that confusion should last no longer than it takes to cross the threshold and see the array of treats. Combine it with the coffee, and options rivaling any standalone shops, Innominate is the spot to take a break as you make your way to or from the mountain or the nearby campground. While there were several sweet treats, there were also a couple of different kinds of savory frittatas. Those were probably my least favorite things. Just the right size, the small, maybe one or two-bites of egg and filling, were good for a taste without the commitment, but I found them almost bland, despite the fillings, and when cool, too rubbery. I'd skip them the next time. The ginger-snap cookies, three for the price of the larger cookies, were good. The crispy, spicy cookies hit the spot for our late afternoon tea later. Along with those cookies, I added a couple of muffins to the to-go box. The chocolate toffee muffin was dense, moist, and not at all sweet. We thought they were perfect with coffee the next day. The coffee choices were the same as found at any coffeeshop and although it was good, it didn't wow me. I'd still get it again, though. Oh, and the people? Top-notch service. There were several regulars who stopped in, visitors passing through, or some with to-go orders like mine, and each was treated as a friend and valuable customer. read more

Such an amazing coffee shop in the unlikeliest of places. My wife and I were staying at a small motel in Ranchester to cheer for our daughter running the Bighorn 100 (google it). The Innominate was pretty much the only game in town, so we figured we couldn't be choosy. But WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE. This wasn't just "amazing for a small town", it was incredibly amazing PERIOD. One of my guilty pleasures is watching Bar Rescue where the host yells at everyone during their stress test. This weekend couldn't have been a bigger stress test for the Innominate, because this little town was bursting with visitors coming for the race. When we got there, the line was clear out the door, across their porch, and out into the parking lot. We had second thoughts for a moment, but then we remembered the "only game in town" thing and got in line and shut up. The line moved pretty quickly though and it was probably only twenty minutes before we got to order. I couldn't tell what I wanted until we got inside. And the view inside was stunning. I swear that the baked goods were actually glowing with some sort of heavenly light. They looked that good. Unfortunately I'm on a diet and figured I was going to be out of luck. I thought I'd have to settle for a cup of coffee and a crumb from my wife's plate. But I saw that they had breakfast burritos and burrito bowls. I got the bowl and it was amazing. It was a great mix of sausage (chorizo?), cheese, sour cream, and their homemade pico de gallo. The sausage was spicy but the salsa mix calmed it town with a great balance. It was perfect and delicious. The coffee was equally as delicious, except that it must have been piped in directly from the surface of the sun and was way too hot for me to drink (I guess I'm a wuss). I got a large, so I sipped on it most of the morning and then ended up drinking it hours later even though it was mostly cold. The blend was amazing though. I drink mine black so I can taste the flavor, and this had hints of cinnamon and maybe dark chocolate. Perfect. Even more impressive than the food was the service. This place was packed to the gills, but the staff kept things professional and I didn't see any cracks in their facade. Adding to the ambiance was a youngish man (20s?) who sat at the piano and played for about a half hour. So fun. We went back again the next day because it was still the only game in town. It was still amazing and I was glad we went back. We didn't have time to sit and eat, so I got the burrito instead of the bowl. I wish I had asked them to add the salsa and sour cream instead of putting them on the side, because they were too messy to add while I was driving. No big deal though. On our way out the door I noticed a woman seated at a table with a laptop and paperwork and a name tag, so I figured she was the manager and/or owner. I stopped to tell her how much my wife and I loved their shop and how happy we were to come back for a second day. Instead of saying, "Yeah - Of course you came back... we're the only game in town, dipwad..." she thanked us and we struck up a conversation. She said that it had been just as busy earlier that morning as it was the day before. I complimented her on not only the quality of the food and service but also on the way her staff seemed to keep their cool under such a stress test. She laughed and said she was glad that it looked that way, but that they really had their hands full. We thanked her again and told her it was a shame that we would probably never be back since we live out of state. I wish I had a place like this near my home, but I'm probably better off since I'd end up cheating and diving into all of those incredible baked goods. I wish them all the luck in the world. It's a combination cafe, gift shop, and art gallery. The staff are absolutely the friendliest and fun to boot. Thursdays is acoustic jam and I've been able to be here twice for it. For the life of me, I couldn't remember the name of this amazing eatery! I knew it wasn't Illuminate but found it anyway. My sister and I drove from Sheridan to Ranchester just for lunch. We loved this place! We are on the road and stayed at the Lazy R Campground with our travel trailer. Their nearby bakery and coffee house was a 60 second walk from our door and offered delicious coffees and breakfasts. Our party enjoyed lattes, breakfast burritos, breakfast bowl and two different kinds of quiches. They also offer an array of yummy pastries and cinnamon rolls. They have outdoor picnic tables and are dog friendly. Excellent service and great food. Don't pass up this gem of a place! read more

I stumbled upon this lovely bakery and coffeehouse during my road trip from Washington State to New York. This was during the worst of the pandemic and so the cafe was closed, however, the owner saw that I was obviously disappointed and offered to make me a latte. And, this is the best part.....she offered me a fresh baked and warm blueberry scone! Really, this made my cross country trip all worth it!! To meet such wonderfully kind people and with talent to boot! My next road trip I will stop in and indulge in their lunch menu. What a gem to find. read more
