It appears the entire staff following us was gone when we needed them in the fitting room.I realized why I don't come to this Ross didn't get a your welcome or hello from their lost prevention yet alone anyone else in the store but they followed but never said hello got to the point I said hello to see maybe catch the memo but didn't.We got about 5 items my mom got two I guess we looked so suspicious with my chihuahua that they felt we were stealing bcos why else would we be followed funny stuff was when I was shopping and saw tons of alarms on a sweater by the kids department if they'd be wasting time following grandmas & ppl with their dogs they'd MAYBE just MAYBE catch the person who's actually stealing the place was too overwhelming with stuff The isles were way too small. I know this seems a low bar, but if you shop at TJ Maxx, Off 5th on El Paseo, Ross and other discount stores that are in the same competitive space, this is not the norm. The Ross staff down the street hollers at you "WELCOME" in hope that distracts you from seeing the piles of misplaced merch in the aisles, and then you end up waiting in a monumental line that makes you wonder if you really need that $19.99 item. At this Marshalls, I can find nice displays of clothing at the front of the store of multiple brands' offerings, with my size 2 or 4 still available on the rack. The dressing rooms are clean and offer nice lighting so I don't obsess on my imperfections. Overall a great experience shopping here and I definitely recommend this Marshalls.

I was actually proud of my self I went straight to the jewelry department and kindly asked the employee (her) if I can purchase something and she looked at me and told me no. And I asked her why you don't close until 9:30pm. she said if you want jewelry you can purchase what's out. I was very upset and couldn't believe she dismissed me in that matter! If you're shopping for practical items at a very good value, this is the place to go !

I have always found the staff, friendly and helpful. A year ago, I decided to move to Palm Desert and continued my Residential Interior Design here. I've been to this specific store a few times now. I am not sure what is going on at this location, "Palm Desert CA ", but the staff look extremely unhappy and unfriendly. specifically one gentleman who calls himself the store manager, but he is not. I have seen him picking fights with different clients almost every time I go there. I have tried to strike a friendly note with him, trying to calm him down. At one occasion, out loud, he was telling a client that his position there is what people say to "choose wisely" at the beginning of your career. Once he was staring down at a client to a point where the lady started yelling " Are you staring me down? may I talk to your manager?" and with a great attitude, he responded, "you are talking to him." Long story short, last time I was there I was doing heavy shopping for a 85 year-old woman. Nothing big knickknacks and kitchen items and Home Staples. I was doing a small project for her here at the desert. she has various ailments and I had to be careful choosing the right products for her, which are light enough and easy to operate. Thus, it took me over two hours in the store to do selection of various items for her.. I think that had raised a red flag with the staff. I was treated so poorly there. I had over five workers approaching me and asking " can we help you with something? it seems you've been here for a long time . Every time I would respond, yes I am buying for a client. I need to make the right the selections. it takes time . I do understand store security is important and shrinkage is a problem, but not everybody is a thief. I do believe I am well dressed and I don't like a bum. At the end, yes, the same gentleman approached me aggressively with the same question. I broke out in anger, saying "is there a problem sir? " I'm spending over $800 worth of products here. Nevertheless, I was followed by him until I went to the checkpoint and paid for the products and left the building. Funny enough, he knows me from previous purchases through him, which always has been over five to $600. I tried to make a complaint to their head offices. I got a email saying that my concern has been sent to the store Manager Sylvia "something" and she will get back with me ASAP. This was a month ago and no response. Again, it's a pity. I love this store and most probably I will be shopping at their other locations, but this one definitely has some major staffing and management issues. Needless to say I will not be returning there. Who would like to be treated like this?......

The gentleman behind me asked her to call another cashier but he was totally ignored by both girls!!!! They were both very rude !!!! There were plenty of employees there too ! I saw 3or 4 of them when I was in housewares ! The manager needs to instruct the employees that the customer comes first and hopefully hire people that know how to treat people with respect!!!!!
