If you are a discount shopper, this particular Marshalls is in the 5 star zone for many reasons. Their store is immaculate, with everything being in its place including correct sizes on the racks and home goods items on the right shelves. I know this seems a low bar, but if you shop at TJ Maxx, Off 5th on El Paseo, Ross and other discount stores that are in the same competitive space, this is not the norm. The Ross staff down the street hollers at you "WELCOME" in hope that distracts you from seeing the piles of misplaced merch in the aisles, and then you end up waiting in a monumental line that makes you wonder if you really need that $19.99 item. At this Marshalls, I can find nice displays of clothing at the front of the store of multiple brands' offerings, with my size 2 or 4 still available on the rack. The dressing rooms are clean and offer nice lighting so I don't obsess on my imperfections. Overall a great experience shopping here and I definitely recommend this Marshalls. read more

I visited on December 27th for the after-Christmas sales, giving them a day to organize their discounted products. However, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. Items labeled as part of the 50% off Christmas sale rang up at full price at the register. When I asked the cashier to check the prices, she argued about every single item, claiming they weren't marked with red tags, even though they were clearly Christmas or gift-related items. After much back-and-forth, she finally checked the prices, which took forever. Some Christmas gift items were marked down, but Christmas decor wasn't, which made no sense since the sale was supposed to apply to all Christmas items. To make things worse, there were three more Christmas items she had to ring up separately for some reason. Although she told the manager they were supposed to be half off, only one item was discounted, and she didn't even inform us of this change--she just snuck it in. The lack of clarity, poor communication, and dismissive attitude made this an awful shopping experience. read more

As my mom, my little brother and I were about getting closer to checkout to pay for our things yesterday I noticed a male employee helping someone out around 3:30pm in checkout area #3 wearing a black button up shirt and with a scruffy beard and he was giving a look to my mom and kept looking up and down. And so I don't know if it was my little brother sleeping in the cart with a pillow from the store or my mom wearing a Trump MAGA hat but that employee was very rude and I think he either needs to be fired or be taught a lesson by showing some respect next time. We stopped in looking for a specific item, which we didn't find, but did walk out with a couple of other things. That's the whole point behind these types of stores though, isn't it? The store seemed clean and was a little more organized than the other Marshalls we'd been in. The biggest downside? Only two registers open, with extremely slow employees, when the line was easily 15+ people long! We almost put down our items and walked out. read more

Sales Associates are so friendly! From the women at the fitting room to the checkout. It was a very busy time and the manager immediately called for backup cashiers. With nearly all registers open, the line moved quickly. Cashier greeted me and even noticed that one of my items was eligible for an additional markdown! Woo-hoo! When I entered there were two ladies at the door who greeted me and kindly had a clean basket for me to use while shopping. I appreciated them being so polite and starting my store experience with such positivity. They seemed happy to help and make sure I was safe. This Marshalls store is pretty underwhelming compared to the Palm Springs and Palm Desert locations. I feel like it's smaller, the selection isn't as great in general, and the cashier Garrett that we somehow always get is extremely pushy with trying to get customers on the Marshalls credit card. I only come here because I live close by now, but otherwise if it's convenient for me I would rather be at the PS/PD Marshalls locations. read more

Having shopped at numerous Marshalls stores around the country, this one is closest to where I live so I spend more time in this one. While it's not the neatest nor the most organized of all, and I too have experienced children not in their parent's attendance.., yet the people that work here are so helpful. At check out they are friendly, complimentary and warm. 4 stars are for the staff. Even on the floor they are attentive, and personable. As for the reviews of the children running and screaming, that's a whole other discussion that points to the parent's responsibility. Although it is located next door to Petsmart, I often find amazing deals on pet products, gourmet food, kitchenware, home and garden, towels, hats, clothing, luggage, handbags, children's books and toys, hair products, perfume, and shoes. You never know what you'll find, that's half the fun. read more

Katie was unprofessional and inexperienced cashier. She didn't know how to help me, a customer for an exchange without a receipt. Normally, the other cashier will give a store credit if I didn't have receipt on hand or there was a missing price tag. She denied to get me a store credit neither a refund! She asked me to show the receipt for it! I wasn't happy at all ! I though I can get in and exchange the items, but turn out so disappointed ! I dogged in my bag and finally found the receipt and took back to her counter asking for money back, she gave me hard time and a bad attitude by talking rude. I don't want to go back shopping here no more and I think Marshall store lost me as a valued customer who spent at least $300 each visit monthly! read more

I have visited many Marshalls stores in many areas of the country, I have never been in such a messy, unorganized, dirty store. Much of the Christmas merchandise hasn't even been marked down yet, still at full price. I was purchasing some Christmas merchandise and had to ask for the correct amount to be charged, they were going to charge me full price, what is that? I waited to be checked out while three employees stood and chatted. Perhaps they could concentrate on helping the customers in the store and maybe clean up the store and also start getting the Christmas merchandise marked down. Store management needs to do a better job in managing their store and training their employees. I will definitely never shop at this store again. read more

I've been a Marshalls shopper for many years now. This store is small and usually a mess. The managers/employees do nothing as children run through the store, bounce basketballs in the aisles and destroy the children's toy/clothing section. I've witnessed this very bad behavior almost every time I shop there. Not only are these kids obnoxious and rude - they are destroying store merchandise which is absorbed by raising prices. I've left the store on several occasions due to this activity. I try to plan my shopping trips now as soon as the doors open to avoid the chaos - but I shouldn't have to. Get control of this store!!!!!! The prices are good, the variety is good and the check out people as always nice and professional. However - if it doesn't get more professional and less stressful/chaotic to shop there - I'm not returning. read more

I was in the La Quinta store on 04/03/18 at approximately 10:15 AM. I had my items for purchase ready to check out. Went to the cash register the only one open. There was nobody else around so I laid my items on the counter for check out and Betty still hadn't acknowledged my presence. I asked if this register was open and that point Betty began looking around the store and noticed another lady shopping and proceeded to tell me I had to go get in line to get checked out. There was no line or I would of have seen it when I initially approached the register. I will never be back in this store again. Not sure if my skin color had anything to do with Betty's decision but it seemed awful odd. As we were leaving another sales associate proceeded to tell myself and my husband to have a good day after what just happened. Manager of the store has been notified and corporate office will be as well. read more

I love coming here to the toddlers department as they have nice matching outfits, other than that the woman's department I feel it's for older lady's. This shouldn't surprise me but I feel they should have more of a variety anyways nice place, customer service is okay. read more

The store itself was a mess. But my cashier was awesome! His name isn't on the receipt but he is younger and Hispanic- he was not only friendly but folded my clothes perfectly. It's something I've never seen at any Marshall's or many other stores in the area. This was the third male at that store in the past month who has been friendly and folded nicely! I went to the Palm Desert Marshall's the following day and the manager folded my purchases horribly! At the LQ store, the males are very friendly and fold nicely. The women at the LQ and PD stores are not friendly and don't take care in their folding. I'm approaching 50 and worked for many years early on in retail and know it takes very little effort to fold clothes nicely and it's up to the store to train correctly and if they don't, it's simple enough to fold the clothes correctly, regardless. I spend hundreds a month and many thousands a year at Marshall's- they really should respect me and that fast and everyone else and their purchases and fold correctly. With our extreme heat here - it takes two minutes for these clothes to get wrinkled in the hot car if they're not folded decently. I have refolded them many times in front of store employees who look off in the distance and could care less. And it takes very little to be friendly and smile and fold nicely- it's their job. I'm/we're spending our money there instead of thousands of other stores. Thank you to the male employees who work at Marshall's LQ for keeping me coming back. read more
