We dropped by 4 different studios and we knew PDC was for us! My 4-year-old daughter has been with PDC for 2 years and we absolutely love being a part of the PDC family! Classes are nurturing and positive, age-appropriate but certainly teaches the little ones to push themselves and do their best as little ballet and tap dancers! Owner, Paige L., and the toddler teacher, Ashley A., are absolutely amazing with the children! Each brings their excitement, their expertise, and their big hearts to the classes. Even the older dancers, who sometimes cross paths with the 2-4 year old class (or on the recital days) are so sweet and loving! They are like big sisters to the little dancers, taking them under their wing and making them feel like important parts of the PDC family. These girls have become extended family. All the parents look out for each other's daughters and support them with encouragement and love. There are workshops with special guest dancers and they have a winter performance for dancers who'd like to participate. The studio is an adorable boutique studio - small and quaint but perfect. Parents can sit right outside the class and watch. PDC is conveniently located right on Route 6 in Mahopac and parking is available behind the studio. My friends got married inside. The wall in which they got married in front of had a fire alarm right in the middle. That fire alarm will be in EVERY picture!! I would go crazy! 2. That same wall had a light fixture with lamp shades. The lamp shades were crooked. 3. The sweetheart table had NO light on them. In fact for the first hour we couldn't figure out where they were sitting. There was light during speeches thanks to their photographer. 4. The cocktail area space is so small! You could barely walk from one side to the other. As a guest it was extremely uncomfortable. 5. The food was okay and there was a great dessert table but the table was outside the ballroom so you barely knew it was there. 6. Last, the bartenders were so slow! There were two bars and a nonstop line at both bars all night. They should have had more help. I would not suggest having your wedding there unless you are paying under $90pp because it should not be more than that.
