It was over 90 degrees and I was not about to let it spread, so the husband started calling to places around Olympia as we were nearing the city. The first quote was for a place in Chehalis that had no website and 0 reviews. $80. The second place had good reviews. They couldn't fit us in. We called Jesse and he said come on in. $40. Sold! It's a nice little shop just off the freeway (101 or 5, I can't remember). Jesse was helping another customer but got to us as quick as he could. Came out to check out the chip and immediately had his co-worker bring my car to the back to cool down. Jesse explained the process and what we could do to maintain the repair. He said it would take at least 25 minutes because the glass was hot and had to cool down. We were offered cold bottled water. We chilled out on the big sofa. It was a crappy situation to be there, but it turned out to just be a nice detour. The crack was fixed and you can hardly tell it's there. No sun shade for this window's future! She had us on the schedule to have the new window installed within a couple hours. The installer was waiting for her when she pulled into work, and did an fantastic job. He vacuumed all the glass up and was just all around amazing. They even matched the tint so it looks factory. I was SOOOO HAPPY AND excited to finally do something like this for myself and have a nice clean car, until I tried to use my Defrosters and heater and nothing is working, radio buttons make the heater turn on and off now, none of my radio or heater buttons do anything they are suppose to. I immediately try to troubleshoot and when I realize it's no good I message back Alex and let them know immediately, asking if this is normal. No reply yet , but I hope they will understand paying 450 for my car to be cleaned and it come out damaged even if it is older is not what a 5 star detailing services would do. Hopefully they will issue a partial refund so I can now go pay to fix my electronics . I will recording my cars now in the condition before and after any car service to a sound this in the future . Great detailing but there were multiple soaking wet surfaces where they just soaked it in cleaner with little care about how it seeps into the electric components. I had a perfect experience with The Glass Guy and highly recommend them to anyone…read more I was behind a dump truck on the highway and got nailed with a couple of rogue pieces of gravel - right in the windshield. Two good sized nicks and they both cracked outward across the length of the glass. I submitted the claim through my insurance and The Glass Guy came up as one of the possible places I got use to get it replaced. I am SO glad I chose them. From the get-go, they were speedy and professional. I got call from their office manager just a few hours after submitting the claim and told them what the deal was. She took my vehicle information and VIN to confirm the correct size that's needed, telling me that she'd do some hunting and see about price, availability, and timeframe. I got a call back the same day and she told me the price (which was less than the deductible) so she suggested not going through insurance - which I followed. I was able to get it scheduled within the week. Once there, I got the vehicle in right on time and just decided to wait there in the office for them to complete it. They were extremely efficient - finishing it much quicker than what was originally thought. I couldn't be happier with the result. It looked great and after a month or so later, I haven't had any issues. This is a family owned and operated business; and the care they have for their customers is clear. They have a very comfortable and esthetic office/waiting area (along with a very friendly dog that might ask for some pets). The office staff is extremely friendly and kind, and while I didn't meet any of the service staff, when they came in and our of the garage area they seemed very nice as well and everyone was professional and friendly. About a month ago we took my wife's RAV 4 to the Glass Guy to get a couple of chips filled. This…read moreservice went well, at the same time I mentioned to the owner that I have a company car (RAV 4) that needed a windshield. He said, call back with the VIN and they would get it scheduled, I got them the VIN that day. They said it would be a month because of parts on back order. I thought, I can drive it with the crack for a month to give a local shop the business. Fast forward, my wife called Wednesday before the appointment on 11/11/24 to see if they might have an opening either Thursday or Friday before my appointment on Monday. My wife spoke to the gal that works there. She said she would have to call back in a little bit to let her know. Fast forward to the next morning, I called and talked to the gal my wife talked to. She told me that the windshield for my RAV 4 was not available, and she left a voicemail to tell my wife know this. Cell phones don't lie, my wife had not received a call from their number and didn't receive a voicemail. She said check back in a couple of weeks for availability of parts. I immediately got online and scheduled with Safelite, this was Thursday, and the appointment was for Friday at 8:00 AM. Perfect service!! no lies about parts, or not being able to get that windshield. Safelite installed and calibrated the windshield, and I am 110% satisfied with their performance.

For a dealer job with OEM parts, this costs around $4500 for the front pair. After doing tons of research, I decided to utilize a quality aftermarket kit. However, when I talked to the dealer, they tried to steer me away from this, and while they said they could do it with aftermarket parts, they seemed very unsure and cited issues with prior customers going this route. Another local shop told me they wouldn't be comfortable replacing just the rotors (they wanted me to bring a factory rotor/hat assembly which is honestly unnecessary if old hats are in good shape). I did not feel very confident with both shops. I reached out to Matsenko on yelp by chance and their tech, William, responded within a couple of hours and knew exactly what I was trying to do. I was honestly surprised at how knowledgeable he was with my specific brake job and decided to give them a shot. They got me in quick, and everything was done by end of next day. The brake job is excellent, there is no noise or judder, and braking action is very smooth. In addition, they did an hvac cleaning for me (i had some contamination in my evaporator core) which another shop tried, and failed, and charged me $500 for the whole ordeal. All of this was done well at a fraction of the cost at Matsenko, and I saved thousands. I am very pleased with everything, and the amount of attention to communication I received is something I rarely see these days. Everyone was also very nice and personable, from the shop owner, to the tech and to reception which is also less common these days. I drove all the way from Olympia to have this done, and when my rear brakes need a swap, I know who I'll be calling Thank you for the wonderful service everyone!
