My daughter had a minor accident where someone was backing out of a parking spot and damaged her…read morebumper on a "new to her" used car we bought the week before. The man who hit her offered to pay for the damage and took her to Ken's. Getting an appointment was difficult enough but now that they have the car, they won't give it back! They claim to be behind and are waiting for parts on other cars which means they can't get to my daughters' car. We can see it in their back lot with the bumper removed...SO WHAT IS THE HOLD UP? We call, they either don't answer or won't call back. My daughter will occasionally catch someone on the phone and they always say "we'll have it ready tomorrow." Three tomorrows later, I'm pissed. We show up and the 'boss' Ken is out, no one can get a hold of him. I'm about to call the cops and call the guy who paid to tell him to get a refund. This is ridiculous and is no way to run a business.

Communication is very lacking and they get snippy when you call to inquire about your vehicle. My vehicle was not completed such as trim not put back in place and bumper not installed properly. 64 miles were put on my vehicle, it was dirty inside, there were deep scratches all around and on the top of my vehicle (probably from setting tools on it) and there were two tears in my leather interior. They didn't fix what should've been fixed from the accident and only did what the insurance company suggested. They lied and told me that an adjuster from insurance came and physically looked at my vehicle when an adjuster never did come out (If an adjuster had come out they wouldn't have said my vehicle was a different color and they would've had the correct VIN and license plate number). I ended up having to pay for the repairs out of pocket which was way too expensive for their shoddy work while insurance paid less than $160! In the end I had to take my vehicle to a different body shop with much better reviews in order to get it repaired correctly. Unfortunately it was all out of my own pocket! If you love your vehicle or even just like it DO NOT BRING IT TO CARSTAR!!!

Three days went by and I gave them a call to see if my car was ready, they said it was not. Finally after 7 days of having my car they said that it was ready to be picked up. When we went to get it, the paint was completely orange peeled and the hood was not aligned correctly whatsoever. My husband told them that they needed to fix it and they were apprehensive at first claiming that it was good work, but once he showed them what was wrong they agreed to fix the poor work. When we returned two days later to pick it up, it looked even worse. So for a third time we left the car there to be fixed. This time they forced us to pay an extra $200 in addition to the $1,425 I already paid or I could not pick up my car. I wasn't going to write a review about them because the man in the office was very apologetic, but now that only three months have passed and my bumper has popped out I feel like others should be aware of the terrible work that these guys have done to my vehicle.

Tyler was able to answer all my questions, filled me in on what to expect as far as the secondary inspection/quote was concerned, and was straightforward when I had questions about "worst case scenario" (if insurance didn't approve the repairs after receiving the updated repair quote). We ran into a delay due to parts not being available, which was frustrating, but overall I am very happy. I had low expectations, and didn't think there was any way a shop would be able to get my front end to line up, but it is IMMACULATE. The paint is smooth, the paint blend is perfect, the body pieces line up *perfectly*, the pinstriping even matches well - it blew my mind. These guys did great work.
