We were looking for tacrolimus eye drops for a pet since our current pharmacy stopped carrying it. This medication requires sterile facilities for its production so it is hard to find compounding pharmacies that can produce it. Innovative Compounding Pharmacy does produce it, but charges 315% more than we paid at previous pharmacies, and 171% more than the highest priced pharmacy we found in our search for a new pharmacy. If their prices are this much higher on all medication, it is a puzzle as to how they stay in business. Best, friendliest and most accurate compounding pharmacy. I personally have all my pet prescriptions made into liquid form. It has literally saved my small dogs life. I could never get 5 pills down her throat twice a day. I tell every small dog owner who has the same problem getting meds down to have their pet prescriptions made at Innovative Compounding Pharmacy. They are flavored in chicken and beef. My 15lb.,16yr old parson Russell sees me measuring out her meds and comes for them on her own. They also have tuna flavor for cats. I was quoted a price of $149 for 120 ml of a pain cream over the phone. When I dropped off the Rx, I specifically asked for the largest size they could give us, because the price barely changes if you get less. I try not to judge people by first impressions, but Shawn, who seemed like a real know-it-all, told me he "went with the smaller size because" blah, blah, blah. I got 60 ml for the special price of $119. They sold me 50% of the cream for 80% of the price. THEIR BOTTOM LINE is all they care about. I will NEVER go back. I'll drive all the way to Professional Dr in Sacramento from now on, even though this place is only 7 miles from home. The only things innovative about this place are the ways they come up with to screw you out of your money. By the way, I never leave reviews, on Yelp or anywhere else. I will NOT be using them again. This was my last time!! Where do I start.. first, I asked if they could put my estrogen base in a aloe vera base as that is the only one I don't break out into hives with and they said, no. That I have only 3 to choose from. WHAT?? Other pharmacies have not had any issue because they CALL their supplier and GET IT. These people are lazy as hell. So I had my usual compounding pharmacy just fill that one. I had them re-fill my testosterone cream. I asked them to put it in syringes for easy dosing since I don't use the full 1ml of cream. I'm ok using one of the bases they offer with that one. They mailed it to me and what did I get.... a stupid click dispenser that doesn't even work!!! And they charged me more than they quoted me. 15.00 more than the other compounding pharmacies. This place doesn't listen and they rip you off!! There is no reason to be way more expensive. I'm just going to deal with this one that I got from them somehow but never again!!! I will be going to one in Rocklin who are extremely helpful with decent prices. Beware of this place. This pharmacy is the best compounding Pharmacy I have ever been to. I was in need of LDN and shopped around town and everybody here charged too much. I remembered when I was living up in Roseville and heard so much great things about this pharmacy. I called and inquired about the medication. Their staff was so polite, attentive and caring. Not only that but their price was cheap as well. I had my doctor faxed them the prescription and within a day I had my medication FedEx to me (in San Diego) from Folsom. They take too long too fill a prescription. I was here and told it would be filled within 30 minutes. I left , returned after 30 minutes and still isn't done. I told them I would be right back and they didn't seem to put any priority on it. Plan on waiting as they take their time. read more

Really disappointed with the service. My prescription was supposed to be ready for pick-up in the morning. When I arrived at 12:30 it was not ready yet. The pharmacist was sitting in his office chatting with someone and casually told me to come back in an hour. When I returned at 1:30 the pharmacist was still in his office chatting and had forgotten to work on my prescription. I was told it would take 20 minutes to complete. I left and returned 30 minutes later. The assistant girl was nice and friendly and apologized on the pharmacist's behalf but the pharmacist was in his office with the door closed this time and didn't bother to say anything to me. To whom it may concern, I wanted to inform management about the service I received today from Brittany. I don't appreciate her nonchalant and condecending attitude regarding my prescription. I called well in advance to place my order and I also followed up last week. I was told today that only part of my order was ready only and had been for 2 days now. Not once did the pharmacy call me to advise of the delay of my prescription. Her attitude suggest that it was my fault saying at anytime I can call the pharmacy and that this pharmacy give the physician 3 days to respond (as if I was supposed to know that). This is my 3rd time calling the pharmacy about my prescription that I need to continue the health my pregnancy. I really don't need the stress or worry nor do I appreciate being handled like I'm ordering something I could have picked up at my local grocery store. I take this medicine because I need it and my baby needs it and it really upset me being talked to like it was my fault everything wasn't ready. On top of that, the pharmacy is going to charge me $11 additional to overnight the part of my prescription that is ready. I'm trying to remain calm for the sake of me and my baby but I am truly unhappy. UCDavis Medical should consider using a more patient friendly compounding pharmacy. read more

This is an excellent compounding pharmacy that has worked very closely with my daughter's doctor to provide her with sublingual pain medication for several years. Masud and Anna have always been very helpful, respectful, and polite. As in any business, the hired help is not always the best advocate. I recommend if you have problems, ask to speak directly to either pharmacist and bypass the hired help! Even with short notice, they bend over backwards to provide the medications in a very timely manner. In response to some of the other reviews, we have never been lied to or had any bad experience. We've tried to work with other compounding pharmacies, but they were "can't do". Innovative is definitely "innovative" !! read more

I'm not sure who is writing these "great" reviews, but "I DID NOT" have a good experience when I went to this pharmacy. First impressions are everything and the two girls at the counter hardly looked up, much less greeted me when I walked in and waited what seemed like forever. Then they couldn't locate the prescription or acknowledge it had been filled and acted put out because they couldn't find it, yet they are the one's who called me to tell me it was ready!! Then the pharmacist who went over the directions with me had a very bored aloof attitude like he "also" was put out to have to deal with such menial stuff. People if you don't like your job(s) find a new one!! I decided to give them a "second" shot. Called in to renew the next prescription and they said there were no refills (and this person is somewhat confused as well I mean c'mon really, your a damn pharmacy why so confused on the smallest order?) so they would call my Vet and let me know when it was ready. Two days go by, I finally call and they say they haven't heard back from the email they supposedly sent my Vet. I call my vet and they say they received "nothing" from them! I get my dog's incontinence medicine from this pharmacy and have been for over two years. I am dependent on them every month as they are the only compounding pharmacy close to where I live. ...The monthly calls to refill my dogs medicine are cringing, I can barely get out what I'm calling about before they cut me off asking for the scrip number in the most rudest manner you can imagine...like I'M wasting THIER time...really? I'm a PAYING monthly customer, and I have to deal with attitude? ..and for what? this is your business ..this is what you do. Why be so nasty to people over the phone? ...I am seriously considering going back to ordering from my veterinarian and forcing a pill down my dogs throat rather than giving this place my 35 bucks to make stinky chicken flavor medicine....which she hates anyway. Well I have to be honest and hopefully my feedback will prevent someone's pet's death. Firstly, they left a voicemail saying my prescription was ready to be picked up. I drove over there and it was not even filled. So I came back in 45 minutes for a pickup. The drug was for a 6# cat. I got home and my wife questioned the size of the pills. Like good owners, we administered two dosages, but then I decided to telephone the vet. I asked about the size of the pill, saying it looked like an adult dosage to us. The vet had called in 30mg dosage and this pharmacy filled 300mg! (wow) The day I picked up, apparently there was not a pharmacist on duty and also apparently, they do not have a good process in place to help prevent this type of error. We're glad we caught this early, but it did nothing for our confidence for potential repeat business. The day I picked these up, I noticed 3-4 techs in the back, looking very 'not busy' (so confused as to why the message about picking up and then not ready). Quite disappointed.....I don't provide many reviews, but am worried for others' pets. read more

Stay Away! Incompetent, bad service, and unremorseful about delaying needed treatment for a serious infection. They said they could make up Sterile Chlormaphenicol Ophthalmic solution for treating an infected eye and kept me waiting all day on Friday to get it at 5:30pm and the solution precipitated and crystalized within 12 hours of their formulating it. I was stuck over the weekend without the proper drug to treat a serious eye infection in my horse. I called UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine to ask the Veterinarians about the crystals and precipitates and they said that it was improperly formulated and not to use it. They gave me a number for compounding Pharmacy with a good reputation. When I returned the improperly compounded drug the ICP Pharmacist tried to blame me and asked if I had refrigerated it! Terrible lack of responsibility and incompetency on the part of the Pharmacists that work at this Pharmacy. Never again. read more
