His routine includes examining your x-rays and having you come back to learn that you're in really bad shape. Some of the common descriptions include; "You've had a rough life" or "You've been through a lot" Have you received a Neuropathy diagnosis from the good doctor? Dr. Fisher changed my life and probably saved it. I can't recommend him enough if you are in need of a trustworthy chiropractor. Tweaked my back during a typical workout that I have done a million times. Thankfully i didn't need surgery but I was in the worst pain of my life and had trouble doing basic movements like sitting up or even sitting upright. Came in for a consultation and after x-rays and watching me move a few ways, he recommended a well thought out a 12 week physical therapy plan to get me back to normal and pain free. Within 4 weeks, I was pain free. Within 8, I was back to normal and within 12 I was moving and feeling better than I had in my youth. His Adjustments and recommendations on simple tweaks and changing up bad habits on my posture and movements made me a new man. I have been a patient of Gold Coast Chiropractic for about 5 months. Dr Fisher has a wide knowledge in his field, and he does a great job assessing, and correcting problems. Not only have my issues improved, but I have witnessed other clients move along their journey and make great strides alongside me. What really impresses me though is not the actual chiropractic work, which I would hope is good at most offices. What I think is most impressive is their ability to be flexible with your schedule, and still keep my visits quick and efficient. I know as a business it can be difficult to manage that pipeline, as people's needs and schedules are constantly changing. However, that flexibility is what I truly need to keep my appointments regular, and to keep the rehab productive. If I were at a competitor that was just as skilled in their craft, but not as flexible in their business, I fear I would miss too many appointments and would not see the results I wanted. I'm the "Dan M." that a few other negative reviews mention. It appears that Dr. Fisher had my previous review deleted even though it was 100% truthful and legitimate. Yet another unscrupulous business practice from this guy, to censor reviews that are critical of him. To summarize my previous review, Dr. Fisher runs an unethical (but, sadly, fairly common) chiropractic business model which is a great example of what to watch out for when searching for a new chiropractor. Real chiropractors will NOT do this. He uses a one-size-fits-all formula which involves taking an array of x-rays of you on your first visit, then asks you to come back the next day. On the second visit, he will explain (in an extremely condescending fashion) that your spine is in shambles and that you need 3-4+ months of treatment, 3x per week. He'll pressure you to prepay for all of the treatments UP FRONT (several thousand dollars, and he didn't accept my insurance). Mind you, this is still before he has even adjusted your spine once. Regardless of your particular issues, this is the "treatment plan" he will come up with, "tailored" specifically to you. He speaks in analogies and hyperbole and asks leading questions to try to get you to arrive at the conclusion that you need this treatment plan or else you'll eventually require major back surgery. I can't stress enough that the entire thing feels like a shady sales pitch from a scumbag used car salesman. The fact that the other reviews on here indicate that he does this to everyone is sickening. (As a hilarious side note, during the sales pitch Fisher also claimed that his treatment plan would result in stronger erections. I'm not joking.) Even more egregiously, in my particular case, I went to Fisher because I had a strange sensation down my arm that I thought might be a pinched nerve. I later found out it was shingles, which was then confirmed by two medical doctors. Despite my telling him this, Fisher STILL insisted that it was not shingles, and in fact I needed his chiropractic treatment to treat it. Yes, he actually made a medical diagnosis, which was incorrect, in order to coerce me into paying him $4000+ up front for something that wouldn't address the condition. Had I listened to him and not taken the shingles medication I was prescribed, it could have gotten drastically worse. He should be disciplined by the chiropractic board for this, at the very least. Dr. Fisher, instead of having my review deleted again, I would welcome your feedback here. I'd also be happy to discuss this with you if you have an issue with my review. Everything I've said is 100% accurate and I've left out plenty of details that further illustrate your disingenuous business practices. I came in to see Dr. Fisher after reading some good patient reviews on Yelp and it just so happened he was conveniently located close to my apartments in the middle of Gold Coast. When I first came in, I was in pretty bad condition after running my fourth full marathon, my energy levels super low. By the end of my visits, my energy levels were back to where they have always been and it changed my day-to-day. His right hand gal Jessica was super sweet and made my whole experience even better. Dr. Fisher told me he was also a runner, so he had knowledge I needed to feel better but also continue running. After seeing him for a few months, I ran my fifth marathon without any problems. After spending years suffering with chronic migraines, I'm finally getting my life back and have Dr. Fischer to thank for it! I have tried EVERYTHING, have been on countess medications and am kicking myself for not coming here sooner. The office is very nice and everyone here is extremely welcoming and helpful. They have some of the latest technologies and the mixture of frequent acupuncture and chiropractic treatment has proven to be effective for me. I have low back pain and a TMJ/neck issue and have been coming to Dr. Fisher for about 6 months. After a thorough exam with x-rays we discovered that i have mild scoliosis and an improper curve in my neck contributing to my issues and pain. I am on a long treatment plan, but just after 3 months we saw an improvement reducing the scoliosis curve in my spine and the curve in my neck is improving. Dr. Fishers treatment plans are more advanced than going to your average chiro, he takes your care to the next level. Not only is Dr. Fisher fabulous, but his staff is amazing too! Jessica brings such a wonderful energy to the office and is so welcoming from the moment you walk in and Erica (the Chiro Assistant) is great too! I'll try not to reiterate what the last two reviewers said, but my experience was also exactly like theirs. I asked if Medicare covered it, and they took my card, but never actually discussed it. There's no brochure or anything about treatment or for my specific treatment. For me, the absolute worst part, was that he really urged me to buy a full torso plastic "brace" that I would have to wear 17-24 hours a day after my three month treatment. At first, no price was mentioned. Then he said it would be made for me in Australia! Okay, here's the price. $4,000!!!! I have a bad hip, but that was ridiculous. When I told him I didn't want it, he pressed me to tell him why. It was ludicrous of him to suggest this before any treatment at all. Then we got to the price of treatment. As the others said, he insisted that it was thousands cheaper to pay up front. So that's it. I had a great experience at my first appointment when I met Dr. Fischer. He took x rays and gave me a chiropractic plan. I decided to pause a bit and consult a regular doctor before moving forward with this treatment. To get prepared for the doctor's appointment, I called 2 weeks ahead to see if I could get a disc with my x rays on it. The woman who answered said she would have it to me the next week. I called to follow up and they had forgotten about the request- so I asked again - to please have it by a certain day so I could pick up and bring it to my doctor's appointment. The office said they would follow up. There was no follow up so I called the morning of my doctors appointment and they said they would have it ready and I could pick it up at anytime that day before my appt. I went during my lunch hour and the WHOLE OFFICE WAS AT LUNCH and wouldn't be back until 3pm. I now have to go to my doctor's appointment with no x rays - when I specifically spent 2+ weeks trying to coordinate getting a CD - I also couldnt get a doctors appt until 2 months after I called due to availability. While the Dr. and office was nice, It was challenging to work with them after my initial appt - maybe because I didn't sign up for treatment right away I wasn't a priority? read more

Totally disagree on this one!!! I used my L.S. deal for a massage yesterday, I believe the girls name was Christine, and my massage was just fabulous!! She did a great job with the spots I told her i was having pain and she spent just the right amount of time and pressure working on my knots. Its def not a day spa, but for $40 im not expecting it to look like the spa at the dana. While the room was nothing to write home about, the massage was great and thats what mattered! Dr. Fischer, his front desk assistant Veronica, and the massage therapist Candace are a dynamic trio! PROS: The office is spotlessly clean, I am always greeted with a smile and scheduling (or in my case, often re-scheduling due to a hectic calendar) is a breeze. Dr. Fisher is professional, super nice, and I always leave feeling better. Like every good chiro, he adjusts treatment slightly according to what activities or events have occurred. I never feel rushed and he takes his time to treat me with the stem-cell/heating pad before an adjustment. I always, always, see Candace the massage therapist the day after my appointment (due to insurance). She is amazing and the massage is done professionally and I leave feeling like a million bucks. I love Gold Coast Chiropractic and would highly recommend to any friend or family member. I am writing to share the incredible healing journey I have experienced as a result of Dr. Fischer's Digital Motion Xray(DMX) results. I had been in 2 car accidents in less than 5 years causing debilitating headaches, neck and shoulder pain. After the 2nd accident, no MRI, MRA or static xray showed any damage other than the standard arthritis, bone spurs and disc degeneration of a middle aged woman. Doctor's in Massachusetts, where I'm from, gave me a disabling prognosis that would require nerve burning, pain meds and no chance of a cure. All that changed after my visit with Dr. Fischer and the DMX results. After the Digital motion xray was performed by Dr. Fischer himself, I was given the results that would change my prognosis and give me my life back! Dr. Fischer walked us through the digital xray explaining each and every thing he saw including 3 compression fractures and multiple ligament injuries in my upper cervical spine that were causing the cervical instability. Now we finally had the facts of what was causing my debilitating pain. I am now receiving Prolotherapy treatments by Dr. Ross Hauser and fly to Chicago from Massachusetts every 4 weeks and the end is near when I will be released from treatment and ready to begin strengthening and enjoying life again. I've had some bad experiences in the past with Chiropractors. But after a painful back injury, I had to seek out help. To my surprise, Dr. Lee was amazing! He made time for my visit on short notice which is unheard of with most other Chiropractors. His staff was courteous and professional. Since I work in the loop, finding this close location is a huge time saver. My great experience with the sessions has led me to direct my wife and others to his office. I am not one for posting reviews as they can be completely subjective. This is my very first review as you can see and felt that I needed to post this review about GCC and Dr. Fisher. About twice a month I was getting a stiff neck where I was unable to turn my head fully to the left. This was also giving me migraines to go along with it (NOT FUN)! If anyone knows about migraines you know what I'm talking about! A friend of mine told me about GCC and Dr. Fisher so I decided to give them a try. He looked me over and explained what was going on. He then told me that he would be able to provide some initial pain relief but adjustments were just a start and that we needed to proceed with the strengthening of my neck. I did receive the first adjustment which did provide initial relief. I started going twice a week to receive adjustments/therapy to strengthen my neck and three months later no neck pain and no migraines. If you are not sure about going into a Chriopractor like I was, take all your preconceived notions put them aside and go see Dr Fisher. Thank you to Dr. Fisher and his staff! read more

Before I get into my individual experience with Dr. Fisher, which is arguably more reprehensible than his more general practices, I want to first describe the type of practice this is, as it's a somewhat common and disingenuous chiropractic business model: 1) For the first appointment, Dr. Fisher will ask you a number of questions about your lifestyle and take an array of x-rays of your spine, having you bend your neck in certain directions and so forth. He'll tell you that he needs to interpret the x-rays that night, and have you schedule another appointment the following day. He won't adjust you or do any sort of work on you at this appointment. 2) When you come back for the follow-up appointment, this is the sales pitch. I can't stress enough how much the entire thing felt like a used car salesman pitch. Dr. Fisher will show you the x-rays he took, compare them to illustrations of a perfect spine, and tell you why yours is in shambles. He'll ask you all kinds of leading questions along the lines of "If this is what your spine looks now, what do you think it will look like down the road if you don't do anything about it?" He'll also make all sorts of condescending analogies that have nothing to do with the point he is trying to make, as if you are too stupid to understand the technical explanation, and you're supposed to just go along with it (e.g., I'm not quoting directly, but things along the lines of "What happens when you don't change the oil in your car? *makes you respond that your engine stops working like it should* "Exactly! Same with taking care of your spine"). 3) At the end of the sales pitch, he'll start describing the "treatment plan" that he's personalized just for you. This will involve you coming in for treatment 3 times/week for 3 months (or more). He will explain each stage of the treatment process (which, hilariously, included a stage where he claims you will get harder erections as a result of his treatment), although none of this is provided in a written format for you to digest and mull over later. I asked if I could get any written explanation of the treatment plan he proposed, and he said, "we don't really have that, but I'll type something up and email it to you", but never did. 4) Finally, Dr. Fisher gets into the price tag. This was possibly the slimiest part of the process. He actually pushes you to PRE-PAY for your treatment plan up front. As a reminder, by this point Dr. Fisher still has not adjusted you or done any sort of treatment whatsoever. Despite that, he lays out all sorts of payment plans for you to pay for his services in advance when you haven't even been treated by him a single time. If you pay for each of the 36 treatments individually, he says, the total cost will be $4,000+. BUT, if you pay for X number of treatments in advance, the cost drops to something lower, like ~$3,500. BUT, if you pay for EVEN MORE treatments in advance, the cost drops lower. And, if you pay for all 36 treatments that day, on the spot, the price is significantly lower than the $4,000+. He is incredibly pushy, and ends with something along the lines of "so what option do you want to go with?" as if it's a foregone conclusion that you're going to hand over your credit card and let him run it for $3,000 on the spot. Not to mention, he says nothing about what happens if at the end of the 36 treatments you haven't improved as much as he told you you would. Then what? You pay him for even more treatments. 5) Having said all that, I mentioned above that my individual experience with Dr. Fisher was even worse than his general shady practices. Since this review has gotten longer than I anticipated, I'll be brief. I initially went into Dr. Fishers office because I was experiencing a tingling/sunburn-like sensation down one of my arms. I thought perhaps this was a pinched nerve, so I went to Dr. Fisher and explained the symptoms at that first appointment. Later that night, I started developing a rash on my arm that I later found out was shingles (which was confirmed by two medical doctors). The next day, when I went back to Dr. Fisher for the follow-up appointment/sales pitch, I told him about the rash, and that I had seen a doctor earlier that day who told me with near certainty that it was likely shingles, and all of my symptoms matched perfectly. Despite this, Dr. Fisher told me that he was almost positive that it was not shingles, and that instead this was a problem with my spine that I needed his treatment to fix. To repeat, Dr. Fisher actually made a medical diagnosis on me that falls outside his area of practice, which was incorrect, in order to get me to pay for his chiropractic treatment. Obviously, I never went through with having Dr. Fisher treat me, was prescribed medication for the shingles by another doctor, which took care of it without any chiropractic treatment whatsoever. Had I followed Dr. Fisher's advice, it could have gotten much worse. read more

Very professional, friendly, and talented. I had been having throbbing discomfort in my neck that would come and go throughout the day. Gold Coast Chiropractic was right down the block from where I live and I needed the pain to go away. Dr. Lee was very helpful in targeting my pain and applying proper treatment. Right after the first visit I was able to move my neck more freely and after a few more visits, the pain was gone. Can I just talk about the healing hands of Dr. Fischer?!? Came in 3 weeks ago for chronic neck pain, back pain and numbness of my arms starting from my armpit radiating down to my finger tips. Immediately after my first adjustment the numbness went away and I was finally able to have my first nights sleep without constantly waking up in pain! I now see him 3x a week for the next 3 months for adjusting, stretching and strengthening and I feel better after every time! I know you're thinking wow that's a lot of money to be spending on a chiropractor to crack your back well it's not. This is an investment I am happy to make for the well being of my body and long term health. I work in the kitchen. It literally is a back breaking industry where your body is pushed to the limit. Slinging 50lb sacks of sugar and flour on your back and working with heavy machinery doesn't help my 30 year old body or posture. And if you're wondering if it really works? Well I'm a walking testimony to that. I already feel less tense, less irritable and more energy. I even feel a little bit taller! This review is for a massage service and not the any chiropractic services. While the male masseuse was very nice, everything else about this place was a little off. First, it was called "Gold Coast" and truthfully, there was nothing gold coast about it except the building location. You had to ring a doorbell and the worker, who also happened to be the masseuse, had to physically come downstairs to let you in the front door. The elevators and hallways are very outdated and the office was tiny. It wasn't bad but like I said, the name is a little misleading. Because I was getting a massage, I was faced-down and could see the lint and chords on the floor. The masseuse was friendly but I felt that he was either being too hard or too soft sometimes. I didn't feel as recharged but it wasn't horrible either. Would I give them another try? Sure I would... since they were nice, but I wont be dying to book an appointment next weekend. read more

I went to this place as it was across the street from my job . First visit I sat for almost an hour before being seen, I was on my lunch break. Complete disrespectful of my time and I was early even. Once called in, we discussed nature of the visit and then x-rays were taken... ok cool, then I was scheduled to come back the next day to " discuss " treatment, ok.. next morning again I arrived early and notice someone was called in right at my scheduled time I asked of this and the receptionist told me that that persons appointment was for the exact same Time as mine! I rescheduled for that afternoon again on my lunch break for I could clearly see where this was going .., I come back and am called in immediately and dr Fischer begins talking and talking... and scribbling on a sheet of paper yes he was explaining the x/rays but it got lengthy and suspect he constantly asked me questions that sounded quite familiar to me ones that required a yes or no answer. I've been in sales for years and game quickly recognizes game. I felt like I was trapped in a time share seminar or cornered by a used car salesmen. 2 Visits and NO TREATMENT ! Just a sales pitch! 4K are you crazy Dr. Fishy???! Yes or no? Do you think I'm STOOPID! He kept highlighting my discomfort and pain asking if I wanted to get better... DUH! He just let me walk out and didn't even offer an alternative nor more affordable plan. I have excellent insurance not Medicare either private! And he gave no alternative it was his way or no way. If he was so concerned about my treatment he would have offered something! My experience was exactly like the other reviewer Dan M.'s, the WORST CHIRO experience ever. I had two visits that led to no adjustments--nothing because Dr. Fisher was "pitching" his outrageously costly (HE DOESN'T LIKE TO USE INSURANCE BUT ONLY MUMBLES THAT THE SECOND VISIT) and time consuming plan: 3 times a week for a year. It's curious that I have the same plan as another reviewer--was he a dancer as well? Furthermore Dr Fisher is the most condescending doctor I've ever encountered, instead of just explaining the problem he quizzes you on the function of the spin. When I asked if he knew of any sports masseurs he struggled to think of any, which is interesting that in another review they said they enjoyed the massages at this clinic. Lastly, he had the audacity to judge me when I said I did not want to pay out of pocket if I have insurance. He even went as far as saying, "What is money when your spin looks like shit? I have been going to Gold Coast chiropractic for over two years now at least once a week. No matter how many times I go there I am always impressed by the quality of work from both dr lee and his staff. I have gone in for back shoulder foot and knee injuries and every time dr lee has been able to help with adjustments, tips at the gym and the limits on how I push myself in rehabilitation. 5 well deserved stars! Dr. Fisher has been treating me for almost a year now and my overall health has improved considerably. Prior to my treatment I had ongoing headaches, neck pain and back pain from a car accident years ago. When I first started treatment with Dr. Fisher he did a digital motion x-ray on me which really helped me to see and understand why my range of motion was so limited and why I was in so much pain. He was really good at explaining to me exactly what was going on in terms I could understand. Through adjustments and acupuncture I was feeling better in no time. Also I love that the office has massage tables in the treatment rooms. While you are waiting to see the doctor you can lay down and be massaged- a very nice bonus. I also wanted to review based on my prenatal chiropractic visits... It's been amazing!! My OB has highly recommended chiropractic care during pregnancy and I'm so glad he did. If you are pregnant, do yourself a favor and make an appointment to see Dr. Fisher. Pregnancy takes a toll on your body and it can be very uncomfortable but the regular adjustments from Dr. Fisher has helped my comfort level a ton. He showed me some exercises to help me to be more comfortable between adjustments and discussed the best course of care during pregnancy. He is able to maneuver around my growing belly and has a pregnancy pillow for his patients to use later in pregnancy. Also, the office does prenatal massages which is a nice compliment to getting adjusted. I plan on seeing Dr. Fisher for prenatal care until I give birth and will be bringing in my new bundle of joy to get adjusted right away. Dr. Fisher is the only chiropractor I'd trust to adjust my newborn. He really cares about you at the office and after you leave which is a great quality. Dr. Fischer and his team are terrific. His very comprehensive in his diagnosis and treatment plan. I had an injury a little while back and he has really helped me restore my balance and get me back on my feet. Lovely clean offices provisioned with state of the art equipment expertly applied.
