It takes them more than a month to get your results. The in house staff were very proffesional.

Not only did they lack communication six months ago when I went through my CPAP I wasted an awful lot of time and effort going up and down I five from Mt. Shasta Redding only to be turned away. And they are charging my insurance company excessive amounts where I'm not utilizing their services any longer. UPDATE - January 2026 I'm adding this update to my original review because, unfortunately, the issues I described did not end with eventually receiving equipment. Two days before Christmas 2025, I received a bill for nearly $1,000 (that increased further within the next couple of days) from Innovative Sleep Centers marked "overdue," despite the fact that I had paid every amount I had ever been billed, on time, every month. Given my payment history, the timing and tone of this bill were both shocking and distressing. Because nothing about the bill made sense, I spent several hours auditing my account myself, reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), credit card and HSA payments, and the clinic's billing history. What I discovered was that for six consecutive months, Innovative Sleep Centers had not submitted insurance claims for CPAP remote monitoring/interpretation services. During earlier months, when these services were billed correctly, insurance paid the allowed amount and my patient responsibility was $0. There were no insurance denials, no notices of billing problems, and no interim statements indicating charges were accruing. The claims simply had never been submitted. Before formally disputing the bill, I went into the office in person to confirm a related issue: ownership of my CPAP device. When I initially received the machine, I was told that after one year of monthly rental payments, I would own it. At that point, I had paid 13 consecutive months of rental. When I asked to confirm ownership, the medical assistant told me that yes, I owned the CPAP after 10 months. I then asked why I had continued to be billed for rental for 13 months. During the same conversation, he stated that the remote monitoring service was supposed to cost $65.78 per month. However, my EOBs showed that Innovative Sleep Centers was billing my insurance $187 per month for that same monitoring service. When claims were submitted correctly, insurance consistently wrote this down and paid the allowed amount, leaving $0 patient responsibility. Critically, for six months those claims were never submitted at all -- and instead were allowed to accumulate and then presented to me as an "overdue" lump-sum bill just before Christmas. After documenting these discrepancies, I prepared and submitted a written, fact-based dispute letter with insurance documentation, which I delivered to the office in person. Once the billing department reviewed the account, the balance was immediately reduced to $0, ongoing monitoring was stopped, and written confirmation of the zero balance was offered. The issue resolved quickly -- but only after significant time and effort on my part to identify and document internal billing failures that should never have been passed on to a patient. Taken together with my original review, this reflects a consistent pattern of administrative and billing breakdowns. I strongly recommend that patients closely review their EOBs and billing statements and not assume that large retroactive bills reflect actual patient responsibility. Because of these repeated issues, I have decided to cease my relationship with this organization. Once the capped rental period is completed and the CPAP device is owned by the patient, ongoing monitoring is not required, and I have chosen to manage my therapy independently going forward. read more

I was skeptical about how my sleep study was going to go after my office visit, but the bedding was clean and comfortable. I brought my own pillow as well. Today is May 13th 2025 and tried filing complaint with Medicare but found it difficult for this old guy. My complaint has been voiced before. All went well until they called me a total of 3 times leaving message to call them back for results. Then came a form letter saying I only had so much time until Medicare would no longer help with obtaining device. Well I called probably 20 times and had to leave my contact info on their phone tree with absolutely no results. They basically took my (medicares) dollars with no follow up! I was treated well by all who I had direct contact with. But my only other gripe would be the distance to nearest bathroom, down the hallway. None in room which is difficult for male senior with 4-6 times getting up at night!. Would look around for nearby sleep study place and keep my distance from this company. read more

This center has terrible customer service. They do not answer their phone and do not call you back. I have been without a c-pap for over a month because they sent a prescription to a local DME company for a bi-pap. This was weeks ago, and despite numerous calls, messages, and the DME company personally walking in a corrected prescription request, they still did not respond. I had to have the Yuba City location take care of the request. Which I am not even a patient of, but it was a simple request. The Yuba City office manager apologized, but still no response from the Redding location. I do not recommend them and will not be going back to them again. read more

They do not answer their phone or return messages that you leave. My sleep study was cancelled 45 minutes before it was scheduled to start because one of their employees called in sick. I thought they would call and reschedule the next day, but nothing. After about 10 days, I started trying to call and leaving messages and heard nothing back. It was over a month before they contacted me at all. I think my cardiologist knew how to get in touch and called them. I did get rescheduled finally, but it was too noisy and uncomfortable there to sleep. The bedrooms are about 10 or 15 feet from the intersection of Dana Dr. and Victor Ave. and it is noisy all night, even with earplugs. I hope I can get sent somewhere else. read more

I went in for my second sleep study to see what kind of machine I need. That was on 8/20, I called on 9/13 to see if they had my results. I was told that yes they did, but the Dr. was on the phone with someone else and would call back when they were done. No call that day, So I thought I would get a call on the 16th. This is the 17th and still no call. My first sleep study was great I got a call with-in the time frame they gave me. I have no idea what is taking so long. Maybe they don't like it when you call to find out what the results are. read more

I have sleep apnea. Because my insurance couldn't find documentation of my diagnosis I had to start the process from the beginning. After 9 months I finally got the sleep apnea machine I needed. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The insurance company and the care providers seem to set all the rules. There night time technologist were amazing. There front desk the worst. There response time horrible. They act like you are not important. Would never recommend this business to anyone. Took 3 months to get the machine. Once Apria Heath care received my paperwork my bi/pap machine was approved in 45 min. Your held hostage, you cant make adjustments to your CPAP device, they have to do it remotely and no doubt have you come in to their office and charge for an office visit. If you need help with adjustments on your CPAP device make a call and you must sit by your phone between 9 and 9:30 am the next day to catch their call back which is telling you to call back. The tech I had a couple months ago for the sleep study was great but the office staff today to confirm appointments was rude and life has changes I got called into work early so I called to reschedule they said sorry that's a cancellation and will charge me $200 for a cancellation fee even though I tried to freezing with them I would suggest not to use them at all if you had to do somebody try somebody else read more

Its amazing that this ISC location never answers it's phone during normal business hours! And they don't return your call when you leave an important voicemail message. I overheard an established patient make the same complaint when he was forced to come in, in person, because no-one was returning his calls. My experience has been the same with this office. The front desk admin wasn't wearing a face mask properly (nose uncovered with a loose, poor quality, blue mask showing gaps) even though two signs on the front door require everyone entering to wear a face mask in this healthcare setting. BEWARE! After dealing with ISC for a year someone in the respiratory field told me that they are notorious for ordering multiple, unnecessary sleep studies. My first apt was for 8-8:30 pm. The tech didn't get me ready to sleep until 11:30 pm and then they told me they didn't have time to calibrate the machine so I had to come in for a 2nd study. Okay, that might have been kosher, I really don't know. But then they switched me to a different machine, so I had a 3rd sleep study. There is a trial period of 90 days for Medicare where I had to use the machine a certain number of hours for a certain number of days in order to comply with their requirements. In January Angela told me that I passed the 90-day compliance period and was good to go. Then in April she told me I needed to be using the machine the same # of hours as I had been in the compliance period or Medicare would take the machine away. Since I hadn't been, the only way to keep the machine was to do another sleep study and start over. I spent 45 mins. on the phone with Medicare and was told, unequivocally, that was not the case. When I called Angela back again to inform her of what I found, she then told me I had never been compliant, even in the first 90 days. Gratefully the respiratory therapist at my medical supply place gave me a copy of my records, which proved I had been compliant in that first 90 days. It took at least 3 horrible phone calls where she tried subterfuge and diversion, as well as several FAX's (which for some reason take days for ISC to receive) before Angela would agree that I had been compliant. Meanwhile, the whole time I was working with ISC I was struggling with using the machine. It was absolutely miserable. It took me a long time to get into another Sleep Center but the first thing they did was send me to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist, who told me that minor surgery would solve those problems. Something that was never, ever mentioned to me by the people at ISC. I would not give them any stars if that were possible, but this site won't let me post without at least one star. read more

I have been waiting over 3 months for a new CPAP machine. I was over charged for a phone consultation that lasted 5 minutes at the most. I finally got a call a month later after I had been dealing with Apria who also have a hard time with communicating with this office. I gave up and went to my GP who ordered a sleep study and I should have my machine this week after 3 months, no thanks to Innovative Sleep Centers. I do not recommend this office. read more

He finally got an appointment in Nov. 2018 - they said they had the sleep study pre- authorized.He explainer my employer was changing insurance in Jan and it needed to be completed and a new machine ordered prior to that date. Upon arrival he was told there was an error and he would have to take an open machine home to test himself and then bring it back for results. He did this and then he called 5 days later no results, a few more days no results this went on for a few weeks in December. Then they finally called and said he would get a different machine from another company in town (awful service ) . They assured us it was all pre authorised with insurance. Well it is Feb 2019 and he still doesn't have a new machine and according to the other company it was NOT pre-authorised. read more

My whole experience with Innovative Sleep Center has been great , yes , there not perfect but my initial experiences with the center were a little rough in the beginning but we finally got my mask figured out and now that I have worked out all of the rough edges I have been getting the best sleep ever it is changed my life completely they say I am a success story and that I am doing so much better with little to no evidence of sleep apnea , like anything else you have to give it time , the adjustment period was about 30 to 60 days after that it was a game changer for me and for my wife who didn't have to hear my snoring anymore so do yourself a favor if your spouse tells you that you are not breathing at night or you stopped breathing there is a problem you need to get it fixed or it will end you ! I've been struggling with lack of sleep for a long time. It wasn't until I was referred to a sleep specialist that I realized that was even a thing! After seeing Dr. Razavi, I have found why I was having such issues! I have been able to get better sleep and there is nothing better than waking up refreshed and ready to take on my day. After a few years here, the doctor has stopped showing up for appointments and the staff is not helpful. The "providers" don't stay long and have no experience with my sleep disorder. Big fat waste of time and money. A friend that I had referred there informed me that her appointment had been cancelled for a "family emergency" so I called to confirm the DOCTOR would be at my appointment and they said he would. When I arrived at my appointment they informed me that the doctor had a "family emergency". I was told that my medication would take several weeks for the medical assistant to get approved by insurance and not to bother calling her, she will call me. No call yet... They'll bill you whether the doctor shows up or not. read more

Absolutely worst customer service. Scheduled annual follow up for late after noon appointment in February '19. They called to reschedule for 30 days later. Now Dr Mehrdad Razavi MD was to reschedule again. No, I do not want to re-schedule for a third time. No one else I can speak to because he is the Director of operations and owner. I LOVE MY CPAP! I hated having to stay the night, not because of the staff but I hate sleeping away from my dogs. Since I got my cpap it's like night and day like Leigh told me. The office staff is great, everyone friendly and upfront about what is going on. The women I talk to on the phone. Leigh, is great. She calls me back when she says and always has an answer for me. The women who showed me how to use my machine is amazing!!!! She and Leigh are always with it. If I have something wrong or need help with my cpap I call her and it's always taken care of. At first I couldn't get use to the idea of sleeping with this silly thing but now I can't sleep with out it. Just had my last follow up today. I'll see you next! I can't thank them enough. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst customer service. My boyfriend saw the doctor once for 2 1/2 minutes. Had to go twice to get the right fit. The first time, the sleep center woman was sick and "couldn't find anyone else to cover" Just what you want - a sick person putting things on your face. Was initially told he had "severe" sleep apnea with oxygen levels at 84% with the mask! Returned for second visit in mid December and paid for another time to get a better oxygenation with a different device. Never got a call back with results from mid Dec. My boyfriend asked in January to speak to the manager, who was not there. He never got a call back either. Finally, he called them again and he just got his set up today, Feb 14th. They wanted their almost 700.00 even before he got to see the item, but he insisted. The woman gave him a dirty look just for asking if he could see what he was paying for. The woman that instructed him was professional, hence the one star. We would leave negative stars if that was possible. I am in health care and this is unacceptable. I have never left a negative review on a health care facility. Their main concern is getting your money and asking for a positive review. Buyer beware! Especially if you have good health insurance. I was told by Innovative that I had both SEVERE central sleelp apnea and obstructive sleep apnea with outrageous numbers of apnea events per minute, that my case was "very complicated". I was force fed all the horror stories of untreated apnea at every appointment and subjected to 4 overnight studies. A bipap machine was prescribed with such high pressures it was intolerable but according to them it was just set "absolutely perfect" for me - except I couldn't breath at all, even when I was concentrating on trying to breath in sync with it. When I finally started questioning their information they went from courteous to quite rude then super nasty once they found out I was going elsewhere for a second opinion. Honestly, in the absence of cancer, COPD, trauma, etc. how "complicated" could my case be? Yes, I'm over weight, how unusual is that for an apnea patient? They were given two months to provide my records for the second opinion which they refused to do. I called their main office in Washington and management conveniently continued "gathering all the reports" until 2 weeks after I met with the new provider and had a new sleep study. Fortunately I was able to gather reports from my primary doctor's office. End result? The first sleep study report had multiple errors. I do not have central sleep apena - it may have been artificially induced by technical error or whatever but as a result my insurance authorized additional sleep studies (plus my co-pay). A single overnight study by a reputable provider indicates I do have mild obstructive sleep apnea which has been comfortably treated with a simple cpap machine on low pressure for the past 3 months. read more

I asked to speak to the manager Wendy I think her name was about the the rudeness and she told me to go somewhere else. I think that's very unprofessional in my opinion. The technician was very nice. As a long time back sufferer, I had a very uncomfortable night. The queen-size bed was adjustable but was equipped with a very soft foam mattress. I know everyone has different needs but it seems there should be some sort of accommodations for those who require a firm mattress. I doesn't seem to me that if the patient is in extreme pain from the bed, and is awake for many hours, sleeping fitfully, it couldn't give a very true picture of his or her sleep habits. When I had to go to the bathroom during the night, I was partially unhooked, but found myself in the bathroom, bent over with wires around my neck choking me. I realized after my first moment of panic that a long cord was caught in the door. But the worst complaint I had was that there was dried fecal matter on the rim of the toilet bowl. I have no problem with the quality of the study; that is not for me to say. read more

My husband went to this 'facility' over 2 weeks ago, was diagnosed with EXTREME sleep apnea (reported that he stopped breathing 52 per minute!) and O2 saturation dropped to 73%! He was immediately called back in the following day for a second evaluation with the same results. He was placed high on the list for a prime candidate for stroke or heart attack or extreme sleep apnea where he might no awaken. It's been TWO WEEKS and still no C-Pap machine! Excuses, excuses and more excuses! I can't even sleep at nite for fear my husband won't wake up! These people do NOT respond (oh, except to make sure you get their bill within 3 days!) to seeing that their 'recommendations' are carried through! Give a test, tell the patient he's lucky to be alive, send a bill then go on to the next patient! I am sending a copy of this letter to the head of respiratory at both hospitals so they know who NOT to recommend for these 'services'! read more
