If only I had known that beforehand! I must make it clear that this particular facility is located INSIDE an office building and is nowhere near to Fairfax Hospital! Upon arrival, however, the receptionist contacted someone and then informed me that the facility does not accept pediatric patients and does not work with RadiologyAssist. When I asked how the appointment had been accepted by then, I was given an unclear explanation--that the reservation had been made without any patient information? This response was both confusing and concerning. It is highly problematic that appointments can be confirmed without verifying basic patient details. This resulted in unnecessary inconvenience, wasted time, and added stress. Furthermore, the staff member's conduct was unprofessional; no apology was offered, nor was any effort made to provide guidance or an alternative solution. Overall, this was a very disappointing healthcare experience.

Here's my first review 4 months…read moreago and someone from their billing dept. spoke with me and my insurance confirming they had an error in their billing system and they are at fault and would contact the collection agency. However, they lied yet again and I received a notice from a debt collector. When I try to call their office their generic billing dept. tells me they are working on my case, but I have no clue what that means and if that were the case they would not have sent my info to a collection agency. DO NOT GO HERE AS THEY DO NOT FOLLOW PROPER BILLING PRACTICES. They will submit claims a year later and send you to collections. My insurance company spoke with them and they confirm the claim is not valid since they submitted it late and the collections bill is also not valid and they will update the file, but yet still after 6+ months nothing has changed and I have to call every few weeks and cannot reach the "back office" or supervisor directly to address the issues. I am always told a message will be sent to handle the issue, but nothing ever gets resolved. In the meantime I am being harassed by a collection agency on a daily basis. Don't go here as their "back office" doesn't do their job. Waiting to hear back from a supervisor, but I've requested this before with no response.

I have had significant issues with charges being more than quoted over the phone, incomplete communication about authorization, deductibles, and other things. However, generally speaking, they have gotten the job done. I don't like that parking needs validation and they only validate up to 1.5 hours - and some mammograms take longer with ultrasound and additional imaging. They also can be a bit short over the phone, and fail to provide context that other radiology facilities might be more inclined to include. However, I do appreciate that this location has a broad range of services available and is prompt with answering calls and attempting to answer questions. Never my first choice as there are some amazing radiologist in the area, but a lot of them have inconvenient appointment times and can take months to schedule. I wouldn't suggest parking on the street, as the police ticket cars immediately when the meter expires. The parking garage is also an issue when going for a first mammogram as they tend to take longer. For subsequent visits, they are good about getting patients out very quickly while still doing what needs to be done. Though, you may feel rushed, I do like it better this way than worrying about having to pay for going over time in the parking garage. One thing I don't like about them is that they had been charging $20 for a CD to bring back to your provider. The other radiologists that I've been to have never charged me for a CD, so I was very disappointed as my provider was shocked that the CD costs exta and she prefers the CDs to go over the findings with patients in an extended consultation with lots of visuals - she apparently needs to CD to do this effectively, so I was not able to receive the same level of detail about my treatment plan that I previously received, due to having my imaging done at Tower Radiology. I hope that they reconsider this charge. Anyway, I think it is better to know what to expect going into it. I added an extra star for convenience.

Staff openly acknowledged ADA accessibility problems While waiting, another patient in a wheelchair was told directly that the imaging area "isn't ADA compliant" and that they probably would not be able to fit a wheelchair through the doorway.
