Once inside you are greeted very quickly and if you have pre-filled out your information then all the front office needs are your ID, Doctor's Order and insurance. The waiting area is comfortable and once your docs are returned you wait for your appointment. I was called up on time, there is a changing room and bathroom and the technician with have you identify yourself (Hian sp) and then the test is done very quickly and efficiently. I had my written results by the afternoon and my PCP's comments the next day (weird that patients get the results before the doctor butt it's the law). A very satisfactory visit. I will return Tuesday to have my disk of results.

My wife selected this family practice for us, and although I have traditionally preferred having a male physician, Dr. Truong quickly made me feel comfortable with that decision. She was extremely personable, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. Just as importantly, she had an excellent bedside manner. I appreciated the way she communicated with me. She took the time to listen, was thoughtful in her responses, and demonstrated a level of knowledge and professionalism that immediately gave me confidence in her. There was nothing rushed or impersonal about the interaction, which is particularly important to me when establishing care with a new physician. First impressions matter, especially when choosing someone you are trusting with your health and potentially developing a long-term doctor-patient relationship. My first impression of Dr. Truong and Loudoun Medical Group was extremely positive. I was given two different sets of wrong information, and when I understandably became upset, the woman on the phone disconnected the call. At no point did I use profanity. Yes, I raised my voice -- but only out of understandable frustration. Of all places, a doctor's office should be able to show empathy toward patients during such vulnerable moments. Shame on you. I sincerely hope these calls are recorded, because if they are, leadership should listen carefully to the cold, blanket, and heartless way your staff speaks to patients. On top of that, it was completely inappropriate that the doctor who ordered the tests tried to downplay potential positive results, brushing them off as "not a big deal." That was not her place. As a patient, it is my right to have my results taken seriously and to receive appropriate, compassionate guidance -- not to be minimized or dismissed. You have no idea what someone is going through outside your office walls, and to be treated with such dismissiveness and cruelty by people we pay to trust with our health is appalling. The doctors can't recreate my symptoms on the spot in their office and because I didn't end up in the hospital, they determine that my condition is probably just stress/anxiety and they just order more blood work to "just be sure." I've had to redo this process at least 4 times over the last 2-3 years and I'm still experiencing chronic pain. At this urgent care, the doctor literally sat next to me and scrolled through recent blood tests that I had on my phone and reviewed them on the spot rather than asking me to send them to her directly, she was willing to look at the video recording I had of my muscles uncontrollable twitching, she did an ultrasound of my entire upper body on the spot, she had more blood drawn to get a few other tests done on the spot, she gave me an MRI order for multiple areas of my body on the spot without requiring me get referred to a specialist to get them and wait months, and literally addressed all of my concerns within a single visit. This process would have taken me 2-4months with specialists and my previous primary care physician. I do not yet have a diagnosis but having found a doctor who was willing to simply listen to my experiences, run tests, and attempt to address my problems in a timely manner after 2-3 years of chronic pain feels like a blessing.
