Every time I've called regarding a basic X-ray, they seem annoyed to be working. It's walk in only which is annoying for the patients, but I was told to either come in at 8:30am or call prior to coming in to check the wait time. Well thankfully I didn't just show up bc I called and was told that they don't have a tech for the next few days and they don't know when they will -- what kind of imaging center has NO TECHS for X-rays? I'll be going elsewhere bc this isn't worth the hassle or risk.

Upon arrival, however, the receptionist contacted someone and then informed me that the facility does not accept pediatric patients and does not work with RadiologyAssist. When I asked how the appointment had been accepted by then, I was given an unclear explanation--that the reservation had been made without any patient information? This response was both confusing and concerning. It is highly problematic that appointments can be confirmed without verifying basic patient details. This resulted in unnecessary inconvenience, wasted time, and added stress. Furthermore, the staff member's conduct was unprofessional; no apology was offered, nor was any effort made to provide guidance or an alternative solution. Overall, this was a very disappointing healthcare experience.

Here's my first review 4 months…read moreago and someone from their billing dept. spoke with me and my insurance confirming they had an error in their billing system and they are at fault and would contact the collection agency. However, they lied yet again and I received a notice from a debt collector. When I try to call their office their generic billing dept. tells me they are working on my case, but I have no clue what that means and if that were the case they would not have sent my info to a collection agency. DO NOT GO HERE AS THEY DO NOT FOLLOW PROPER BILLING PRACTICES. They will submit claims a year later and send you to collections. My insurance company spoke with them and they confirm the claim is not valid since they submitted it late and the collections bill is also not valid and they will update the file, but yet still after 6+ months nothing has changed and I have to call every few weeks and cannot reach the "back office" or supervisor directly to address the issues. I am always told a message will be sent to handle the issue, but nothing ever gets resolved. In the meantime I am being harassed by a collection agency on a daily basis. Don't go here as their "back office" doesn't do their job. Waiting to hear back from a supervisor, but I've requested this before with no response.

Diagnostic tests are covered 100% under my insurance but they sent me a bill for more than $1,000 because INOVA bills everything as a hospital visit (even if you never actually set foot in a hospital). There are a few local imaging centers that are very good and won't screw you like INOVA that you can use to avoid this nightmare. (Insight Imaging in Fairfax is great.) The INOVA doctors might be good but you will pay regardless of your insurance. This is a really lousy way to run a business and every doctor at INOVA is complicit.

I have been using FRC in multiple locations but for this DEXA exam it was a new location I had not…read morevisited before....close to another imaging center but this exam is specialized. Parking was easy and going inside has directions for the office. Once inside you are greeted very quickly and if you have pre-filled out your information then all the front office needs are your ID, Doctor's Order and insurance. The waiting area is comfortable and once your docs are returned you wait for your appointment. I was called up on time, there is a changing room and bathroom and the technician with have you identify yourself (Hian sp) and then the test is done very quickly and efficiently. I had my written results by the afternoon and my PCP's comments the next day (weird that patients get the results before the doctor butt it's the law). A very satisfactory visit. I will return Tuesday to have my disk of results.

When you call the imaging center they give you a choice locations and I always love to Tysons location because it's easy to get to, it's newer, clean and the staff is really friendly. They are open late & I chose a late evening appointment, 9:45pm, becuase I love going at night. It's peaceful, not busy, & you're in and out really quickly. The girl at the check-in desk was not friendly, or hospitable at all, but the girl & guy performing the tests that night were both phenomenal, friendly, fast & efficient & they totally made up for it!

I thought it was good of them to be transparent upfront so that you won't be in for any surprises if insurance didn't cover the costs for some reason. The staff was friendly. The facility is very clean and neat which was good to see. My appointment was quick with no time wasted. You're in, you're out, then you're on your way back home.
