This place is really good! Staff is quick, efficient, and friendly. You can order hot food to eat in or take out. They also have a freezer full of delicious sausages, boudin and desserts. They even have some apparel like T-shirts and sweatshirts. I wouldn't recommend dining in for anyone with Celiac due to cross contamination concerns, but I do enjoy getting the premade brisket sausage and boudin from the freezer. Super solid! Picked up some frozen vittles to take back home. Small place with counter service but very nice little spot in Vinton. Was around lunchtime so we got grub and ate there too. Shrimp po boy with the insane sauce for the win. My boy got the four cheese explosion which is a four cheese sausage on a bun. During his first bite his eyes got really wide. A must stop if you are traveling along I-10 from Lake Charles to Texas!! We made a stop and are so happy we did!! My husband and I were able to share some of our Cajun roots with our now Arkansas girls and they are hooked! The boudin balls and crawfish pistolettes were a favorite!! They have a refrigerator section that you can pick up some items for the house or gifts for friends! Everything we had was fantastic and if we are ever in the area again we will for sure stop by!! We were driving cross-country and we're going to spend the night in Vinton, LA. We knew we were going to be hungry and not much to eat around the hotel. So we saw this on Yelp! and it sounded great but we weren't sure if we were going to make it in time. They close at 8p and we were still far. We made it a few minutes before 8 and it looked closed, but I checked the door and it opened the sweet girl behind the counter welcomed us and was very patient as we figured out what we should get and explained their specialties to us. Amazing sausages by the pound. They also make the best sausage Po'Boys. Huge too! Also tried their Boudin sliders. OMG, IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend! First stop at new little gem! A friend from Galveston recommended this place, which is maybe a mile North of I-10 at the Delta Downs exit. First up was the Boudin Ball, which I inhaled after the first bite & forgot to take a picture. Only $1.59 each! Next was the Angry Fried Chicken Sandwich with jalapeño sourdough bread, jalapeños, their own insanity sauce with what had to be at least 2/3 lb of perfectly fried chicken Breast. We found this spot while looking for another. I'm happy we found it because it was a nice little spot for a quick very good meal. The staff where very nice and helped us out while ordering. We ordered boudin sliders, smoked jalapeno cheese sausage, and cajun fries. And on the way out we picked up a signature pecan dessert they offered. Everything was very good.
