Super solid! Picked up some frozen vittles to take back home. Small place with counter service but very nice little spot in Vinton. Was around lunchtime so we got grub and ate there too. Shrimp po boy with the insane sauce for the win. My boy got the four cheese explosion which is a four cheese sausage on a bun. During his first bite his eyes got really wide. Really enjoyed the visit. read more

Nice restaurant right over the state line I enjoy grabbing a bite to eat, and take sausage back home from. BetMGM doesn't allow you to bet in Texas so this is the closest spot that is just over the line! They have frozen sausage and fresh, depending on your needs. I've had both and they both taste fresh. I had the Cajun fries, they were delicious! It's seasoned fries seasoned with boudin and some sauces, great lunch meal! They have dessert bread, haven't tried it yet! read more

We had the Jack Ripper Po' Boy and Cajun Fries (fries, boudin, cheese, insanity sauce, ranch, green onions) The employees are very friendly and helpful. Everything sounded amazing! Our food was super good and hot. Had some jalapeño ranch on the side which was just the right amount of kick. We will definitely visit again! A must stop if you are traveling along I-10 from Lake Charles to Texas!! We made a stop and are so happy we did!! My husband and I were able to share some of our Cajun roots with our now Arkansas girls and they are hooked! The boudin balls and crawfish pistolettes were a favorite!! They have a refrigerator section that you can pick up some items for the house or gifts for friends! Everything we had was fantastic and if we are ever in the area again we will for sure stop by!! Items we had include: Boudin Sausage Crawfish pistolette Boudin Balls Pictures are a little fuzzy since we are in the car... oops! This 10 hour drive is getting to us! We made a pit stop at insane sausage and grabbed a bite to eat. The bathrooms were clean. The menu easy to navigate. We tried the pork sausage, four cheese explosion, jack ripper and the crawfish pistolette. The sausage had great texture and spiced well. Everyone really enjoyed their choices and we got back on the road quickly. Great stop!! read more

We stoped here as a dinner option during a major reck on I-10 and I was surprised. Right when you walk in you are greeted and taken care of quickl. The staff are so nice and helpful, and the food is a true representation of Cajun food. I got the Cajun Fry po boy and I was not disappointed. Great food and great people while remaining pretty cheap. Great option for a quick meal. read more

Wow. My first time here. First off, the place looked very clean. Secondly, all of the employees were incredibly friendly. Third...the food was delicious. I had the Cajun Hangover Po'Boy, and it was great. Boudin balls were piping hot & flavorful with just enough spice. And the Cajun Fries were just as good. Then, the pecan praline bread pudding was the PERFECT finish. Don't leave before you hit the freezer cases and stock up on their wide variety of sausages, boudin, frog legs, quail, etc. I can't wait to try some of the sausages we bought. read more

I should have taken more photos, but we were too busy eating! What a little gem of a place. Best sausages I've tried in as long as I can remember. We came late on a Sunday and so the bread pudding was sold out already, but people kept coming in and asking for it so it must be pretty good! We were driving cross-country and we're going to spend the night in Vinton, LA. We knew we were going to be hungry and not much to eat around the hotel. So we saw this on Yelp! and it sounded great but we weren't sure if we were going to make it in time. They close at 8p and we were still far. We made it a few minutes before 8 and it looked closed, but I checked the door and it opened the sweet girl behind the counter welcomed us and was very patient as we figured out what we should get and explained their specialties to us. Amazing sausages by the pound. They also make the best sausage Po'Boys. Huge too! Also tried their Boudin sliders. OMG, IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend! First stop at new little gem! A friend from Galveston recommended this place, which is maybe a mile North of I-10 at the Delta Downs exit. First up was the Boudin Ball, which I inhaled after the first bite & forgot to take a picture. Only $1.59 each! Next was the Angry Fried Chicken Sandwich with jalapeño sourdough bread, jalapeños, their own insanity sauce with what had to be at least 2/3 lb of perfectly fried chicken Breast. We found this spot while looking for another. I'm happy we found it because it was a nice little spot for a quick very good meal. The staff where very nice and helped us out while ordering. We ordered boudin sliders, smoked jalapeno cheese sausage, and cajun fries. And on the way out we picked up a signature pecan dessert they offered. Everything was very good. Holy moly are we blessed to have discovered this place!. Just moved to the area and stopped in for a quick snack. The crawfish pistolettes were so mind blowing we turned right around and bought more the same day! Broke my leg and stuck in bed for a few months or I'd be back every day! Haha. This was my first ever hearing of this place and visiting. We ordered the weekend special 4-10-21. It was VERY different but very good! I tasted the insane sauce. Loved it and bought 4 bottles. Not too cheap but very good. We plan on using it with boiled crawfish & shrimp. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely stop by again, if ever in the area. read more

They serve the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. The chicken is so big it hangs off of the bun. Their boiled crawfish is consistent and very good. I highly recommend trying them if you're in the area. You will not be disappointed. read more

We found Insane Sausages following the South West Boudin Trail. They were closed but I got in touch with the owner and he was kind enough to make arrangements to let us in to buy some sausage.
