She made us feel right at home and her knowledge made me trust her right away. She listened to and validated my concerns (invaluable to a new first time mom in the throes of the newborn period with a colicky infant and breastfeeding issues) as well as gave me tools to help me meet my breastfeeding goals and my baby's needs. I can tell she genuinely cares. We live in Leander and it was definitely worth the drive to see her.

I just want to say if you're a parent and you're on the fence about therapy for your child, the fact that you question it, just do it! And speak freely makes its easy and fun! My son immediately took to Heidi and she was very creative and interactive! I had no idea this job went so into depth! And not only was my son learning, my husband and I were learning so much! I felt like I didn't know how to teach my child how to talk outside of just reading books, now I feel much more equipped at home to help with his vocabulary! Heidi takes her time and is so warm and welcoming! We laughed and had had a great time learning! I highly recommend this office!

So much…read moreprogress has been made and the staff there from the lovely lady who handled our intake and all the front office staff and Brandi the front office manager, to the therapists we have had, yes some turn over but compared to other places in the Buda/Kyle area not bad, my child has been not only taken care of but treated in a way all parents should want their child to be treated...like a human being. Our first meeting with Amy was so refreshing and needed after the hell of ABA and the "training" they try to do to your kids (if you know you know). She is so knowledgeable and understanding to our concerns and needs and just really was upfront, please visit their website before you go to, I see many complaints on here but seem to be due to lack of parents research, and she really advocates for her clients and getting them all needed in just all aspects of their lives...school and home life. As a parent I am just so grateful to have a place have my back like this one does...they are upfront with all that is going on but never push my child and make them feel less than they are or like they don't matter and they help me with tools to take home and use as well. Like most parents as well I am so grateful for all the reminders that I get not only about upcoming appointments but payments as well...paying ahead of time I know for some is like "WTF" but look at the times we live in people so it is understandable they need to get paid for services rendered...too many ungrateful people out there that have made it this way for most place. All in all LOVE this place and my child is so happy and at home here as well...asks daily when can go back to see as he says "his people".

Toward the end there were constant complaints from the new speech therapist about typical autistic behavior. In the beginning they told us that ABA was abusive then when we decided to leave they suggested we try ABA. There is no consistency or compassion.

I've been taking my 5-year-old son to Kidworks for a year and a half, and I'm beyond thrilled with…read morehis progress! What at first appeared to be just picky eating eventually became a more serious problem. As he got older he continued to refuse most foods and by age 3 only had 5-6 foods in his repertoire. While he was growing normally, he wasn't getting a good balance of the food groups and all meal times were a struggle. We couldn't eat out as a family as there was never anything on a menu he would eat - his diet consisted of fruit, one kind of cheese, yogurt and crackers. After his initial evaluation at Kidworks, the therapist let me know it would be a slow process. After 6 months, he still had not started eating new foods. I was frustrated, especially since we were paying out of pocket for twice weekly appointments. However, something clicked around that 6 month mark and he tried a new kind of bread. This was a huge step! I was finally able to make pb&j's for him. After the bread came some small victories like different cheeses. We've switched therapists twice and I truly believe when one took him as far as they could they recommended another one, and it's worked well for him. In the past year he's added 11 new foods to his diet, including pasta and grilled cheese, and his current therapist is awesome. She's challenging him with "scary" foods like meats and veggies and I'm very hopeful for the future. He's still very far from a "typical" eater but our mealtime battles have been reduced from 3/day to around 3/week, and we also have a handful of restaurants where he's found items he'll eat. I highly recommend Kidworks' feeding program if you have a problem feeder.

My daughter has multiple complex diagnoses, and she has attended therapy at KidWorks for nearly 4 years, 2-5 days a week. I believe that she is walking and talking and enjoying life in part because of our therapists at KidWorks. My son also has multiple diagnoses and has therapy multiple days a week since he was born. He is thriving, again because of the work of our therapists. Also, as bonus, our therapists have been my guides in this unknown world of being a special needs mom. They are the first people who notice something "off" with my kids and they understand the challenges and joys of this type of parenting. We are lifers with KidWorks!
