I've been going here for years, and I've only gotten the most kind, warm, and professional treatment. I ended up on Yelp today after I did an internet search for the practice to get their number because I needed to call to see if I could get in for an urgent matter. Yelp came up as one of the first results, and I saw some reviews that ticked me off. If someone had to wait a bit to see the doctor, maybe it was because they are so wonderful here about squeezing people in with urgent matters. How often do you have a medical practice that will see you the same day you call? Almost never. I have had several urgent eye issues that needed dealing with immediately and I got in immediately. In this post Covid world where every medical practice of any kind is understaffed, and lack of responsiveness is the norm, this place stands out as an exception. I don't get new glasses often enough to have strong feelings about the buying glasses part of the business, but I can say unequivocally, the patient care here is second to none. read more

I have been going to this eyecare center for the last couple of years. I have never had a good experience here. They either order me the wrong contacts and even sold me a glass frame that doesn't fit and now say that they cannot fix it because it's past 90 days. I can't wait to find an eye care center. Everything went well from the initial phone call to the delivery of my new eyeglasses. Fortunately for me, they participate with my vision insurance. The staff is incredible and Dr. Z was extremely helpful. Remarkably, he remembered me when I was a patient at his Wadsworth office back in 2013. He was very thorough during this visit and explained each step of the examination. Furthermore, he found that I had bilateral cataracts and recommended a provider. To finish my review and probably what impressed me as much as the doctor is that when I picked up my glasses, I was informed that I was overcharged. The honesty and integrity are outstanding!! Was never given my prescription. Paid for my eye exam and the receptionist refused to give me the contact and glasses prescription. Said I had to try my trial pair of contacts first which had to be ordered. But not sure why she couldn't at least give me my glasses prescription? Weird. Practice is in a basement and I waited almost an hour to be seen. Overall a bizarre experience. Maybe they were just having an off day but eye exams should be easier than this. Wasted time and money. I had a rebate from my vision insurance for a specific glasses brand. Went to store, but the person assisting me was not trained on ordering from that brand. It was difficult watching this employee struggle through the ordering process; they were unfamiliar with the website and interface. After leaving, the employee called me twice to tell me that'll actually be ~$80 more than what they told me in the store. Fine, whatever. A month goes by and I call to ask if my order is ready. It is! They never called me to tell me this. And it'll actually be ~$110 more than the original price. Ugh, fine, whatever. Went to store that day to pick up my glasses, had them finish filling out the information on the rebate form. But because they took so long and didn't notify me the glasses were ready, the time window on the rebate had closed and I could no longer redeem. The redeeming quality is that they were nice? I guess. Whatever, I'm not going to argue over this amount of money. But maybe that amount of money would be a lot more meaningful to people and a surprise $100+ could be really bad. At the end of the day, I'll be going to a different eye care center and buying from a different store. I understand the odds of this happening are small, but it did happen and I'm just annoyed by the whole thing. tl;dr. Inexperienced employees, delay in order, I am unhappy. Sadly, this place proves why it's best to get an exam at Target, Costco or any of the other more affordable optometrists. On top of a pricey eye exam, I got dinged with other hidden charges. And honestly, the corporate eye centers are just as good (and significantly cheaper). read more

The staffs are amazing!!!! The doctor that I had was so amazing, she got straight to the point was very knowledgeable and was so quick to treat me! I haven't had to wait longer than 5 minutes for the doctor, or staff. They also call beforehand so you never forget your appointment just incase. They also take appointments for lasik measurements and testing. read more

These guys are awesome!! I love the selection of eyewear they have. They really have the knowledge to do it right the first time. I love how friendly everyone is there, every time I walk in there I'm greeted with big smiles and hello. They even will adjust glasses not purchased there. We had a really great experience at Insight. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The tech who brought me back was also great. We saw Dr. Zemke who we loved! He took time with us, explained everything he was doing, and didn't pressure us in to buying anything. Only downside to the place is location...parking was difficult and it's a bit of an old building, so nothing fancy inside. Clean, though! Overall, would highly recommend. read more

I was pleased with my experience with Crockett Vision Center/Insight Eyecare Center. Dr Tammy Gray was phenomenal and their staff was very courteous and helpful, I was very impressed with Dr Gray; she spent a lot of time with me and got me seeing better than I ever could! Their staff was always courteous and friendly, and very knowledgeable. Molly went above and beyond and helped me to make the right decisions when it came to choosing my glasses. I had missed my appointment and they assisted me by rescheduling, but they call me the next day to advise me they had a cancelation on could see me sooner! That was the WOW factor for me; their staff went the extra mile! I would say that Crockett Vision Center/Insight Eyecare Center is friendly, professional, prompt, courteous with a knowledgeable staff who show a SINCERE interest in the people who walk through the door. read more

I have been going here for the past 5 years at least. After seeing the practice steadily decline over the past few years, it is time to find a new doctor. Not only is the practice physically deteriorating - the building looks awful and hasn't been updated in some time, along with the parking lot being almost rubble... the practice hasn't moved into the modern era of health care. Every time I go in, I have to fill out the same bunch of 7 forms, they always have my name spelled wrong, and don't have anything logged electronically. Also - while I have seen Dr. Crockett once, who is very good, over my past few visits, I have seen new doctors to the practice who don't seem very experienced and aren't up to speed on my file. They also do not have a great selection of frames if you're looking for new glasses. Time to move on, and I wouldn't recommend any of my friends here anymore. read more
