Absolutely brilliant experience from the moment I scheduled until the moment I walked out of there! They were very communicative before my appointment, the man who answered the phone was patience, kind and helpful. When I arrived I believe it was the same man, and he was equally as nice and helpful in person. The tech who did all the tests/images on my eyes was kind and helpful as well! He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it in a way I could understand. He made sure all of my worries or concerns were addressed as well. The doctor, Megan Callahan, was probably the kindest doctor I've met in my life. She really cares about her patients! She also explained everything in great detail and made sure I understood my eye health and that I didn't walk out of the exam room with any questions unanswered. I had a case where I was given a wrong script by a big chain office upon moving to Denver, and it was causing me great head and eye pain. She was able to show me the difference between my original script, the wrong one, and my new correct one. And WOW! I am so glad she showed me as it really gave me a better understanding and so much peace of mind. Then I was taken out to try on some frames (they offered to put lenses in the ones I already had and did NOT pressure me at all to purchase anything extra from them) but I found some I love and they did a great bundle with the frames and lenses. All in all I had the best experience I could have hoped to have today! I will be a lifelong patient at this office. Lastly, this office is BEAUTIFUL. I've been coming to Optique of Denver (LoDo location) for a few years now and have been really pleased with the office and staff. The office is clean and tasteful, and the new LoDo office is beautiful. Prior to coming here, I had only ever seen opthamologists, and admittedly, I was not sure if I would have the same level of comfort & confidence in an optometrist...Dr. Kasper has been phenomenal! She is incredibly thorough (even more so than prior MDs I have seen) and explains everything in plain English, which I appreciate as a patient. My last visit, Dr. Kasper covered the costs associated with getting pictures taken of my optic nerve, explaining that pandemic-induced mask-wearing leads to fogging and imperfect views when trying to view the nerve via dilation through a foggy microscope lens. Knowing she cared enough to make sure she was getting the best view possible of my optic nerve was awesome. She even showed me the pictures and walked me through everything on the screen.... so cool! The opticians can be slightly pushy about purchasing contact lenses and/or glasses through them following an appointment, but in my experience, they have left me alone once I made it clear I was not there to shop that day :) I have not gotten any contacts or glasses through Optique yet, but they seem to have a pretty extensive selection (pricier end). read more

These guys are great! We came in on a Saturday, heading a warning from our doc that big-box places aren't making glasses correctly, so paying a bit more at a more boutique place was worth it. Just the selection was great, and the service was great as well! My husband and I both found frames, handed over our prescriptions, our insurance info, did a couple of measurements, paid, and about 10 days later received texts that our glasses were in! We picked them up, had them checked by our doc to ensure they were up to specs, and they are! Great, smooth process. More than I've paid for glasses in the past, but I only get a pair every 5ish years, so it's worth it, especially for the quality - of the product and the service! If we ever need a new doc, they might must be the answer! read more

The optician I saw at Optique was great. The staff as well and my glasses were ready within 10 days. However, when I went to pick up the glasses, the lenses were falling out because a screw was missing. I was asked if I brought them in that way (they were brand new frames that I already owned) and then they suggested that I go to a glasses repair shop and see if they could be repaired. I asked them to fix them since their lab lost the screw and my insurance won't cover an additional pair for another year - since they already billed my insurance company. The next day I got a message that the glasses had been repaired. When I got them I found that they put in a screw that doesn't fit, painted it black (I guess so I wouldn't notice) and that there is a second screw now missing. I have no recourse as they will not or cannot repair the frame and this was a $300 frame. So, not only did I have to pay for new lenses to go in glasses that will not stay together, I now have to pay for repairs and a new frame at full price since I can't use my insurance. read more

People here are very nice and helpful. Go out of their way to help you find a pair of eyeglasses. Expert fitters for sure. This is my 4th pair of nice eyeglasses and wanted something more trendy. There's a wide variety of fashionable frames in the store. I found a nice pair of Lindburgs. I live in Crested Butte and we don't have frame quality like this anywhere near us. Closest place is probably Aspen. I had an eye appointment in Gunnison so I just emailed them my prescription. Total price was $1078 and fortunately had insurance, which brought it down to $699. Used my FSA to pay the balance. This included the frames and prescription lenses. Unfortunately after one month with the frames, it appear like there is a defect in the right lens called crazing. There were also small chips along the inside of the top of the lens I noticed when I received them, possibly too big for the frame. I didn't say anything, assuming their quality inspection would've surely flagged this if there was an issue. Improper size lenses can also result in crazing, in addition to improper coating of the Crizal coating in the lab. I've had this happen before but it was definitely not from a shop as nice as Optique nor as big/noticeable. I expected higher quality from their lab. Please see pictures attached. Living 4 hours away I will have to mail these glasses back and expect to have the lenses replaced correctly. They also asked me to pay for shipping both ways. So if you're an out of town buyer, please keep that in mind as you will be on the hook for returns (even if within the warranty period and their fault). She would probably say no her staff is the best, and I would allow that (tip o the cap to Fabian). If I could give zero starts I would. After having a couple of pretty good experiences with them over the last couple of years, after this last encounter I will never go back and warn others not to go there at all. At the Broadway location I purchased glasses that cost nearly $1k AFTER my "top notch" insurance paid almost the same amount. I didn't think the amount I was charged was correct and I still don't. The glasses, truly, are beautiful and I get complimented on them when I'm able to wear them. Which should be full time if I could actually see clearly out of them. Right now I'm mostly wearing old contacts. When I first got the glasses the left nose pad fell off after a couple of days. For the price I paid, you can imagine I was livid. I brought them back in and they fixed the glasses. Fine. I asked about the price and got a flimsy explanation. I knew I would not be able to get a sufficient explanation so I left and I will never return. At the end of the day I would gladly pay whatever price if I could actually see properly. I have to constantly adjust the glasses, especially when I want to see something far away or reading/texting on my phone. I have transition lenses and I don't think they are properly aligned with my field of vision. These ladies care about snatching up your money and that is all. 0/10 will never return and would never recommend. Go to Target optical. Go to LensCrafters. Anywhere but here. read more

I live in Boston and once complimented a lady on her glasses there. She said she had gotten them just off 16th St. Mall in Denver. When I visited Denver and saw this store, I knew it must be the one because they have such cool glasses!. Fabian was so fun and friendly and did a wonderful job helping me pick out some new frames. Been coming here for a few years now, and have seen 3 different doctors. It's always been a great experience with consistent processes, and everyone is so friendly! I have been a patient for a number of years now and I couldn't be happier with them. I moved about 4 years ago in the vicinity of Anschutz Medical Campus and still continue to travel downtown ( LoDo) for my annual visit. Everyone is willing to work with you and I feel there are never surprises; they are very transparent. Additionally, my insurance is usually ran a number of ways to determine what is lost cost effective between contacts, frames, and lenses. When I arrive, check in is seamless and I have never needed to wait for an extended period of time outside of my scheduled appointment. read more

Never in a million years would I have thought I'd be writing a review for an eye doctor and staff but here we are. I went to Optique on my 45th birthday and all I can say is "best birthday ever!!!" Bifocals=game changers. Although what truly made it so great was Dr. Casper. Her knowledge, empathy, kindness and chair side manner alone made the visit the most enjoyable experience as I smiled the entire time I was handing them piles of cash!!! Las Vegas casinos can't even pull that off!!! Take a bow Dr. Casper. The world would be a better place if there were more people like you! (And with 20/20 vision taboot!!!) I started having some problems with my vision and I came here based on a friends recommendation. I had never been to an eye doctor before!!!! This office is very beautiful and the staff is all very friendly. I was a little bit worried they would somehow sell me glasses even if I didn't need them, but in the end I was given some exercises to do for my eyes and was not prescribed glasses (yay!!!). They were so sweet and thorough, they ran a ton of tests on my eyes to make sure everything was healthy, and they explained everything to me in great detail. 100% recommend! read more

5 stars for the kindness of the staff, location, and cleanliness of the office. This has been the worse that I've ever seen in my life. Contacts are blurry. Get more migraines. Can't see well at night. When I went in I told them exactly what strength and brand had been working perfectly for me. But they refused to keep it the same and now I have a brand and strength that doesn't work. They just wanted to keep giving me trials and I was getting fed up and travel for work and I just needed a box of contacts. It was taking MONTHS to find something that worked for me. When the box of contacts came in I told them exactly what this review says and they said I'd have to start the process all over and pay again from the beginning. The service I received was very low quality. If a customer tells you what's working for them but it's not one of your sponsored brands, please help the customer before pushing them a product they're not happy with. I called on a Saturday morning needing an appointment due to having a very painful stye, and very friendly receptionist Erin let me know that they were fully booked. I asked if Could leave my information & get a callback if anything opened up; very kindly no attitude given she took my info. 20 minutes later she gave me a call that they were able to see me in the early afternoon. I my self work in the optical field and can say my visit here was very pleasant, even during the very busy rush-hour they had, the staff managed to be helpful to myself and entering customers. Not sure who's running the show here, but there needs to be an overhaul in their customer service department. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Lost orders, miscommunication, being cutoff multiple times after being put on hold, etc. Some of their employees won't even let you get a sentence out before interrupting to tell you to call back, there's no one there to help. I've been a patient of Dr. Marie Schaefer for 5+ years and I couldn't be happier with the level of care she has provided. She is probably the most patient/accommodating eye care provider I have ever encountered. She is thorough and has no problem spending extra time with her patients to answer any questions they may have. Her staff is extremely friendly and they all do a wonderful job suggesting frames that both fit your budget and your face! To the best of my knowledge, Dr. Schaefer takes most vision insurance and if you aren't insured, they offer a great discount program to those patients. I came in out of town and forgot my contacts lenses (oopsy) but I called them and in the matter of 30 minutes, I was able to come get some contacts for them even though I am not affiliated with this doctors office. Dr. Perrson is amazing and I highly recommend visiting his office! He is my favorite doctor of any specialty that I've ever seen. He is kind, funny, relatable, and remembers me every time I visit! He is a great listener and offers actual solutions for any issues. He gave my boyfriend a heated eye mask for his dry eyes post-LASIK and I tried it out and it helps so much. I've seen him for general check-ups and also a more major eye concern. The front staff is really nice and easy to deal with for payment and scheduling! I love dr schaefer who Ive been seeing for years, and dr casper who I saw for the first time this year is wonderful as well. Excellent eye care in the Denver area! I'm new to Denver, and I feel so lucky that I found Optique and Dr. Kasper. Dr. Kasper was incredibly knowledgeable and kind.
