Let me be extremely clear: this was one of the most blatantly uncomfortable and racially charged customer experiences I've had in any optometry setting. When I walked in, not a single person acknowledged me. No greeting, no "welcome," nothing. The staff who all appeared to be white women, by the way looked at me and then looked away like I wasn't even worth speaking to. I turned to look at the tiny selection of glasses (literally one short wall, nothing special), and suddenly an older woman rushed up behind me with, "How may I help you?" Before I could even respond, her next sentence was: "I need your ID." No explanation. No context. Just a demand for my identification the moment she decided to acknowledge I existed. When I questioned why she needed my ID just for looking at glasses, she told me the store "was broken into" so they "have to ask for all customers' IDs." She then tried to rattle off technical optometry terminology in a tone so condescending it almost made me laugh especially considering I'm an optician who works in California. She had absolutely no idea who she was talking down to. The other workers just stared and said nothing. No one stepped in. No one apologized. No one tried to correct the situation. The silence spoke volumes. The entire interaction felt targeted, uncomfortable, and rooted in assumptions she made the moment I walked in. It was disrespectful from beginning to end. I will never return, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially people of color. read more

I was told my insurance didn't cover frames, which is crazy, I'm enrolling for the year 2026 for insurance and it states my vision does cover frames and eye exam and it's the same plan I had this year. I was charged $300+ for frames and my vision insurance does not have a claim for this year. Do not go here unless you want to be lied to and scammed out of your money. read more

Dr. Glickman-Pham was very informative and took her time to exam my eyes. She really educated me on things to do for my eyes to not strain them (since I sit in front of a computer all day). Dr. Glickman is thorough and explains everything. She encourages simple home applications to relieve my eyes from allergies, strain and dryness. There is no signing for prescription until she feels it is really necessary and other more natural methods are not working for me. She is easy to converse with and ask questions. I've been seeing Dr. Norcini for about 20 years now, and he is absolutely wonderful! He's a great doctor and has seen me through contacts, lasik surgery, and now glasses. I feel like I've gone through all phases of "eye life" with him! In all of my encounters with Dr. Norcini, he is personable, professional, and a good listener. On my recent visit, I wanted to move away from glasses (as much as possible) back to contacts. I have a unique situation where one eye is near sighted with an astigmatism and the other is far sighted, so it's a bit challenging to have contact lenses as an option. He listened to what I wanted and came up with a solution that got me back into contact lenses as an option when I don't want to wear glasses. We went with a contact lens on my left eye to help correct the astigmatism. This allows me to drive, as well as see my phone, etc. I also wanted some new glasses and he set me up with one of the girls up front to help me find something. She was so patient with me, showing me endless glasses (sunglasses and regular). She also listened to my needs for a light pair of glasses with no stress on the temples because I suffer from migraines. I ended up getting a pair of regular glasses, as well as sunglasses. Everyone is always polite, patient, and friendly, and they really care if you're happy and take care of! If you are looking for an optometrist, I can confidently recommend Dr. Norcini. read more

Insight Eyecare is open until 8pm on Thursday just in case you don't want to take off time from work to get your optometrist appointment in. Ask for Dr. Glickman - she's the best! if you are in the market for a new optometrist, i 100% recommend InSIght EyeCare. i love Dr. Glickman! she is very professional, and is extremely caring. she will take time to thoroughly discuss all the options available to you, while carefully explaining everything in layman's terms. i've tried at least 7 or 8 different types of contacts before finding the perfect fit. Dr. Glickman gives me as many trial pairs as i need in order to really find the best fit. all the staff has been very wonderful and kind as well. this is my favorite eye doctor i've ever been to! read more

Easy surface lot parking. Was greeted promptly and in a very kind manner. I had already sent in my updated insurance information and was taken back almost immediately to begin my exam. A technician performed the initial part of the exam and then I was seen by Dr. Norcini. He has a very likable personality, like your favorite uncle, and spent extra time with me discussing my hobbies to help determine what type of contacts and glasses would be the best for me and my lifestyle. Dr. Glickman is the best! Her bedside manner is great and so is her staff. While they aren't the cheapest , they do accept most major vision plans like mine(VSP). The doctor is very skilled in not only measuring for glasses and contacts but she spotted the edema I have in my corneas and treated it appropriately . I have a trip to Asia within a few days and my last pair of contacts tore. Luckily for me, Insight was able to squeeze me in for an exam (it's been two years since my last exam, don't judge me). The staff is very friendly, timely and helpful. Dr. Glickman made me feel very comfortable with the tests and took the time to explain to me about my eyes that previous doctors never told me before. Excellent!! I called ahead of time looking for lenses that were hard to find. The staff at insight Eyecare was on it. I was very much surprised because I had called other opticals and I just got a straight up No. I came in the next day and they found all the information on the product I was looking for. They were looking out for my best interest and also offered other alternatives. I did a walk-in to get my vision checked and the doctor there was professional and explained every test. I completely concur with Cheryl T's review. My face is wide. It can be difficult to find frames that don't squeeze my face and when I do, there's usually a very limited selection. So every year, I must first hunt for suitable frames before committing to an eye care center. Their entire staff was so helpful. I described the frames I wanted and the first pair they presented were PERFECT! Even the prices was reasonable! The frame selection is expansive and Dr. Norcini (who's a guy by the way) is a real gem. This place is HIGHLY recommended. read more

Both my husband and I are patients at InSight Eye Care. Our vision needs at this stage of life have some complications. The office staff members are competent, warm and sometimes funny! Insight Eyecare obviously cares about customer service and satisfaction. My experience with past annual checkups at other places has always been "in and out" and no relationship with my eye doctor. However, after coming here, my view has changed on the quality and standard of care that all optometrists and eye clinics should provide. From the front desk, to the assistants, to the sales crew, and even both optometrists there, the service was PERFECTION! If you're looking for a group of people who care about giving you top notch quality care and making sure that you've used all options so that you don't come out of pocket to pay, this is the place! My husband and I saw Dr. Glickman, and she is AMAZING! While I was waiting for my husband to finish up, I saw Dr. Norcini come out and greet customers and his staff. You can tell that both of them care about their staff and how the place is run! You'd be lucky to get an appointment with either of them! read more

I don't usually take the time to write reviews on yelp, but I feel compelled to write one about this place. My husband and I went to get a routine eye exam back in August with Dr. Garner. This was our first time coming to this practice. We didn't really know what to expect, but we certainly didn't expect the treatment we received. The staff was friendly, with the exception of one, and the doctor was nice, I will give them that. But, that's about it... The Background Story After the doctor completed my eye exam, she walked me to the optical where I sat unattended for at least 20 minutes. Please note, there were staff members available, but I wasn't acknowledged again until after the doctor completed my husband's exam and brought him to the optical. She asked if I had been helped and I told her no. She immediately asked an Optician to help me pick out frames. The Optician was actually really awesome!! She picked a nice pair of frames for me that really fit my face and skin tone. She's super sweet actually. The Real Issue My real concern is with the receptionist and how rude she is. She called me a month or so ago to say my husband wasn't covered under our insurance and that we would need to pay for his exam. I told her that wasn't true and immediately called my insurance company. The insurance company told me that my husband was in fact covered. I proceeded to call the receptionist back and told her what they told me. I asked if the information was correct, and she supposedly checked the claim for accuracy. The receptionist said the information was correct and proceeded to resubmit the claim, 3 times according to her. To make a long story short, the error was definitely on the part of this practice, but they insisted I needed to pay. Further, they collected funds for frames I never received (I cancelled the order). So, I had to waste an hour of my day trying to get this sorted out because of errors made on their part. Not only did I not receive an apology, but I got the feeling the receptionist didn't care about my time and it wasn't a BIG DEAL. She even tried to mask the fact they made the mistake. I had to get her to admit they were wrong. Because of this one silly person, I will NEVER EVER return to this practice again. Recommendation FIRE the receptionist immediately. Who knows how many patients you're losing because of this person. Geeezzz. read more
