Great advice and customer service. This is a small business with a good reputation and I appreciate that my contractor sent me over.

We just completed a master bathroom remodel with Benicia Home Improvement and could not be happier…read more The remodel was completed on time, on budget, and the result is beautiful. Our goals were to create a bathroom that would allow us to age in place and to make a small bathroom more functional and appear larger. These goals were exceeded and then some. A+++ grade goes to Benicia Home Improvement. We especially appreciate that Benicia Home Improvement is a design/build company. This makes the remodel experience very efficient. We did not want to spend hours and effort shopping for materials. At the outset, we met with designer Angela to discuss goals and preferences. Materials such as shower surrounds, countertops, hardware and flooring were available on site for us to evaluate. (We could have shopped further afield if that was our choice.) With Angela's expert guidance, we settled on the design and materials, and then Joe and Cody took over the implementation of the vision. They did a fabulous job! The craftmanship was expert and superb. We especially appreciated their professional skills, dedication to communication with us and cleanliness of the worksite. In addition to being skillful, Joe and Cody are just nice, pleasant people to have in your home almost daily during the workweek for the duration of the project. Central office support was excellent. The Benicia Home Improvement owner, Jeff Laugen, is highly experienced in construction, personable, and readily available for any issues that might arise. The price he quoted us for the project was competitive and fair. Also outstanding were Jim, the troubleshooter in the field, and Kayla, who provides great administrative support. While most of the people on site were employees of Benicia Home Improvement, we were impressed with the subcontractors on our job, including Shawn, the shower glass guy, Omar the plumber and David the tile guy along with his helper, Dax (a Benicia Home Improvement employee). If you're considering a home improvement project, you can't do better than Benicia Home Improvement. For our next remodeling project, we'll look no further than this outstanding local business. We recommend them without reservation.

I just wanted to give a shout out to this company and in particular, Trevor. I had purchased.DeWils…read morekitchen cabinets from this shop 13 years ago before it even belonged to its current owner. The finish on some of the cabinet doors near the handles had deteriorated somewhat, and I was looking for some way to either replace the doors or stain them. Trevor was able to order the same stain that the company originally used on my cabinets and he even refinished two of the worst looking doors (the ones under my kitchen sink) himself. He did all of this at a very reasonable price and in very good time. I'm so thankful to him for taking this on as I really didn't know how I was going to fix this issue myself. He also tracked down the original touch up kit that DeWils had provided with the kitchen cabinets and ordered one for me. I really appreciate that he went out of his way to help me with this problem. I think most people would have just told me that they couldn't help me with such a small project as they had not sold me the cabinets in the first place. It is rare to find such excellent customer service!

He was available through the whole process which says a lot about the quality and dedication to customer service. He was always very patient and always went the extra mile. This was not unnoticed. I will recommend Taylor and AQC to anyone looking to buy cabinets. Thank you again. The cabinets are amazing and of very high quality. We went with Columbia cabinets in HR maple in Hale Navy and rift white oak in rawhide for the island.

Based on our bad experience we do not recommend StoneCraft as a general contractor for a kitchen…read moreremodeling project. StoneCraft subcontracted out various portions of our kitchen remodel project but did a poor job of coordinating, overseeing and communicating with those subcontractors (Team). StoneCraft technically never completed the project not did a StoneCraft representative perform a detailed monitoring of the project as it progressed. Here are a few examples of StoneCraft's lack of oversight and follow through: The Team that demolished the granite countertop did not provide a schematic diagram so that the quartz installation Team would know the correct number of holes necessary for the sink area. They didn't account for the instant hot water dispenser and the associated hose. Weeks later a hole had to be drilled in the already installed quartz countertop. Unfortunately we had to purchase a new instant hot water dispenser because the demolition Team lost or threw away key parts of the old one. After the old granite countertop was demolished and the new quartz countertop installed our Bosch dishwasher no longer worked. It turned out, a hose was damaged during the disconnecting and/or reconnecting of the various hoses underneath the newly installed sink. We had to hire another contractor to diagnose the problem and to fix the dishwasher connections. The StoneCraft representative, Jarren, denied responsibility because, "StoneCraft didn't move the dishwasher during the project". However, StoneCraft, per the contract, removed and reinstalled hoses. The Team installed two electrical outlets that didn't work so they had to be prompted to return to fix the problem. The Team had to be called back to repaint areas of the kitchen ceiling that they initially painted, although poorly. The Team had to reorder the correct kitchen floor tiles twice, once because they brought the wrong pattern and a second time because they didn't bother to look in the boxes to notice the contents were not correct. Finally, the team delivered a pantry door sans a handle (only a hole). Jarren ghosted us so we had to hire a handyman to install a newly purchased door handle. Although hiring StoneCraft was a big mistake we learned a lesson but at least we kept the numerous emails that documented the above ordeal.

The process went very smoothly considering I had already purchased the range top, hood, and sink. I had already selected which quartz I want to use too. I was working with another company, but lost all confidence in them delivering. Submitted for the free quote and Jarren came out to do it. I was very impressed by the detailed analysis and design confirmation of my choices. He already knew how much quartz I would purchase and how I can maximize the material with minimal waste. Not a lot of vendors share this insight on a quote. In addition, I needed a cabinet modification. Switching from cooktop to range top. No one wanted to do the cabinet modification. This was right up Stonecrafts alley. They do cabinets!! Having experience with costs, he was within the range I was expecting, so I was happy to move forward. The installation schedule was shared and executed according to plan. At no point did I have to adjust my plans. The installation team was very professional. I am very happy with the results. I would recommend Stonecraft for your kitchen projects. At the very least give them a chance to earn your business. When I get to a bathroom refresh, I will give Jarren and company a call!! Thank you guys!

Great size show room and they have slabs in the back right. Why am I sharing where the slabs are?…read moreWell, customer service is lacking, so this way you can navigate a little bit. Went in twice. First visit I was there about an hour, looked at everything from prefab showers to faucets. I was the only customer in the store, yet, was never even greeted, much less offered any kind of service. Second visit, I came in with my husband. We looked at the slabs and then went back into the showroom to look at vanities. We were asked what we were there for. Let them know we were looking for 80+ inch vanities. The guy just said "that would be custom and it's double the price of that one" and pointed in the direction of the vanities. Not sure which one was "that one" but it didn't matter. I never asked the price. Just wanted to know if they had them so I could checkout the quality and the choices. Guy walked away and went about his day. Thankfully, we found a custom cabinet maker who has been great. He's finishing up a 90" vanity and two linen cabinets. We were able to pick out a slab for the vanity top and have added the stone to our shower threshold and are using the stone for sconce backings. Giving Granite Expo 2 stars as a thank you for pushing me to go elsewhere.

We provided all of the measurements and the complete layout of the kitchen. We decided to go with granite instead of quartz since the residence is rental property. Granite Expo prices are very reasonable and the products looks very nice. More importantly we came to a speedy agreement on all of the material and installation date. Last year we purchased granite counters & sink from Granite Expo. However, the installation team performed poorly. Emily assured us she would send a very good installer, and the last installer, no longer works for Granite Expo. Kemin Guo the installer (granite installer/kitchen remodeling/painting/floor installation) arrived on time. He reviewed the plywood installation, and he gave specific instructions on removing a couple of shims. He immediately went to work with one additional worker. Keri said he would be done in 3 hours. Kemin had finished the granite installation in 2 hrs 45 mins, then began applying sealant & caulking. They cleaned up their mess once everything was completed. Overall, we are giving Kemin and his (1) additional installer & Granite Expo .... 5 stars ***** for going far an above expectation.
