I had a really great Deluxe Ala Mode with the Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookie and Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream. This was better than other ice cream and cookie places because the cookies were still significantly warmer than the ice cream, and that's probably because they keep their cookies in a hot box! While it was super good, it was a lot of food (not necessarily complaining I guess). Despite all this goodness I felt like it was a little expensive for things... it was $6.25 for two traditional cookies and a milk. When in Starkville, I highly recommend a visit to Insomnia Cookie Store by all means. Cookies can be purchased either single piece or by the dozens. I really the "Double Chocolate, Almond Macadamia nut, and Mint Chocolate Chip" flavors :) Also, delivery orders can be done online Which is a gas saver. I dont know how good their delivery service is, so this just my experience at the counter. I brought a dozen back with me ($16.00)and they were very good! I'm sure this place stays packed when students arrive on campus and I see why they had so many in the store. I need yhis place connected to my house for sweet tooth attacks! read more

The snickerdoodle gets no love on the Yelp reviews but I LOVED IT! I was expecting more from the Macadamia Nut (not too impressed). M&M, Double Chocolate Chunk were all amazing!!!!! The cookies were delivered hot out of the oven. We slightly panicked when the app told us that our cookies were delivered and we hadn't received them. Turns out, after calling corporate, it's a glitch. DO NOT PANIC! Your cookies are still in the way! The tip $3.25 and delivery charge $1.99 are included (super reasonable for a sugar rush). Be sure to look for the DEAL OF THE DAY! We received 3 FREE Chocolate Chunk cookies for our deal of the day. A great mid-day or late night snack. Over a week ago I ordered cookies for my niece who was moving into her dorm in school freshman year. The order was to be delivered today at 2:15 pm. I found out she never received them at 9:30 this evening and called the store. First I was told the order was cancelled because they didn't have the right cookies, then that the recipient had called and cancelled (she didn't even know about the order so that's not possible) and finally I was told the order was still pending. I asked why I had not gotten an email or text or call about it 7 hours later, and couldn't get an answer. As I don't know my niece's schedule beyond today, I asked for the order to be cancelled. There simply wasn't enough staff to take care of the line, even though there weren't that many people. The staff that was there wasn't very efficient. This place is HORRIBLE. Not only did they forget 2 regular cookies and 2 deluxe cookies THAT I PAID FOR. They did not even bring back my correct order. The employees are so extremely lazy and the man answering the phone for customer service was extremely rude. I talked to two people and they said "the correct cookies will be delivered" ......and they never did. I even tipped our driver very good. WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I absolutely love going to Insomnia cookies. It's super convenient to me as an architecture student because I work on insane hours. Every time I go, the staff are so nice and are always helpful. Every time I've went in an, awesome employee, Lindsey (sorry if I misspelled it), has accommodated me anytime there was not an order of my preference or if there was a misunderstanding in my order. Love the idea, but it's suppose to be a warm cookie. Mine was literally room temperature, as if it was sitting in a box of dozens at the grocery store. When I asked the employee if they were suppose to be served warm, he said "yeah but sorry." No attempt to make it right. Disappointing and expensive for a grocery store cookie. My husband's had wax paper attached to the bottom of his. Small piece but it was stuck pretty good and he almost ended up eating it. Overall, it didn't measure up to similar places and a Chick-fil-A cookie might have been a better choice! read more

This is a good Insomnia. Employees have always been friendly, and delivery times (at least to the MSU campus area) have always been short. Unfortunately, from time to time, the cookies have been a tad overdone. That's rare though, overall a good experience 90% of the time. read more

Cookies were fine, though I wish the ice cream came with spoons. . . What really got me was the delivery driver. I was visiting a friend who is new to town and neither one of us know Starkville very well, but the delivery location was literally two blocks from Mugshots. The delivery driver called, irate that he couldn't find us, and kept asking if we were by the police station... we were in the opposite direction. I had to tell him four times just to drive to Mugshots and come down the block, the opposite direction of the police department. He kept going the wrong way and we only got our cookies after I dropped a pin, at the address, two blocks from Mugshots. The driver was completely unhelpful and rude, and couldn't follow simple directions. Customer service counts for a lot and it's seriously lacking at this Insomnia. read more

I ordered a 12 pack over the phone, they transferred me to a call center in Pennsylvania who couldn't find Starkville on google, after about 10 minutes of spelling Starkville over the phone I completed my order. Then the delivery driver screwed up my order by giving me 6 cookies instead of the 12 I payed for. They refused to fix their mistake and I was robbed of 6 delicious cookies. I had high expectations walking in the door. That fell apart really fast. Only two of the five employees in the store we're working to help customers. One on the register, one preparing food, three standing in the back talking and playing on their cell phones. After a long wait three of our four cookies were nothing more than warm cookie dough. Horrible service. Placed an order online, and received an email stating that there was an error and to call them. BTW, the phone number listed doesn't actually call the store, but a corporate office, and they can call the store. Well, the corporate office was very friendly, however, they tried to contact the store and find out what the problem was, and the store would not answer the phone after about 15 minutes of trying (no, it was no where near closing). This is not the only issue I've had. I've ordered delivery from them about 4 times, and every single time they get the order wrong. If this was a pizza place and they forgot toppings, that's one thing, but literally, all they have to do is put cookies in a box! The receipt is even taped to the box! Is it really that hard to open the box and check to make sure all of the items are there? And I'm not talking just missing 1 cookie. I'll order a dozen cookies, and they'll only give me about 7 or 8 in the box! That's almost half the order that's missing! And no, it's not that they got the order mixed up, because the cookies I did receive were cookies I ordered. It's almost like they just skim the order, and then grab a handful of cookies and throw them in the box without even bothering to make sure it's right.
