The Director Seema told us that since he is crying a lot, the teacher is unable to concentrate on other kids and wanted us to drop him. The director told us the my kid is not mentally prepared or matured and he is crying a lot and doesn't understand what we were talking and also said he was very anxious. However, my kid went there only for twice a week and he went there just for four days. He was dropped from the playschool in just four days and they didn't even wanted us to try my kid out for a month at least. We in fact requested them to increase from twice a week to four days week or at least thrice a week so that he has some continuity. They declined this too. Shouldn't they have given enough time for my kid to settle down? But they didn't given enough time for my kid to settle down and insisted on dropping my kid from the playschool just because he was crying. They should have in fact tried to instill some confidence to parents but they didn't. When they dropped my kid, I requested them to refund the registration fees at least. Why would someone want to pay the registration fees when they drop a kid in playschool in just four days. They said the registration fees can't be refunded as well. They are totally unprofessional and I felt very stressed out as a parent leaving my kid in this playschool. The main problem is that the school is understaffed and there is only one teacher for 10 students.

I am amazed at how much my kids have learned, since they started attending. Today's Learning Center provides a fun environment that is also educational. My kids love their teachers and Sima and Jessica (The Director and Assistant Director) have been wonderful resources. They are always there and open to discussing any questions I have. My son starts Kindergarten in September and I am going to really miss getting to do drop-offs and pick-ups where I get to know all of the kids, parents, and teachers. I read the other reviews and feel badly that they had negative experiences because I truly feel TLC is a great place to send your kids.

I have had my kids at two places for care before and after school in south Jersey, this being the…read moresecond. The staff here is polite and accommodating. The cost is very reasonable. However, I am disappointed in the overall experience we had with my son. From the get go, we told the director he had a few developmental delays , one of which was late to potty train. He was three when he started, and there were at least two classes for kids his age. We were assured he would be placed with kids of similar needs. I learned a few weeks in that this was not the case, as one of his afternoon teachers made a comment about how "everyone else in his class is trained". Once we had begun the process of training with him a few months later, both at home and with the support of his public preschool teacher and IEP, he had frequent accidents at Under the Sun. The Director questioned whether the preschool teacher was lying to me about whether he was going on the toilet at school. Then I was told by the Director that my son had to be put in pull ups instead of the underwear that we were working so hard to get him used to because "there are too many other children in his class and to clean him up takes one of the teachers away from all the other kids." Again, didn't think he would be the only one In this situation! Finally, when the training was taking a longer time than optimal, the Director asked me if I was sure if speech was the only problem he had been diagnosed with. As a parent, one can imagine how this broke my heart. My son Is quiet and shy when he first meets new people, I get it. However I was repeatedly told by the afternoon care team that he doesn't speak and they "are really frustrated." Yet, when we put him on a different summer program at a nearby facility, he is a different kid. He is bubbly, talks constantly to everyone, including the teachers, and is overall just so much happier. I was quite disappointed at the fact that it did not seem like the morning and afternoon teachers did not communicate with each other. When I would pick him up in the afternoon, that staff would not know what my husband had brought in or discussed with the morning staff. This was frustrating. I was not present during the day to fully take in his entire experience, and I know he was fed, changed when soiled about 80% of the time, and safely put on and taken off the bus by UTS. However, these other experiences just put a very sour taste in my mouth and I was relieved to be able to take both kids out of this center at the end of the school year.

Every teacher my daughter has been in contact with is so happy to see her, and I feel comfortable asking any questions or making any requests concerning her care. The teachers have to be the best part of this school, and I don't feel capable of thanking them as much as they deserve. Little VIPs is such a fun school, even for parents like me who have stepped in the building twice ever, and I plan on sending my daughter here as well as any future kiddos until they're old enough to enroll in our town's school.

The center was very accommodating and welcoming with new children entering into classrooms mid-year. They helped my sons feel supported and comforted and had safety protocols in place to make us feel safe bringing our children there. They have both learned so much and have made friends. They even potty trained my two year old! They had a fun and socially distanced Trunk of Treat for Halloween and also just got an outdoor playground upgrade that my boys are so excited about. The teachers are dedicated and give thoughtful feedback during conferences. The lesson plans are creative and include lots of hands on activities. I would highly recommend this school to parents looking for a positive and safe daycare experience.

When we moved to NJ he went to school as well in swedesboro. When we moved to deptford and transferred him to tutor time. Within a month, Hr would cry every morning, begging and pleading not to go to school. " I don't like school" "please I don't wanna go" etc. My husband and I just put it off because we just thought he was a normal 3 year old that didn't like going to school. He then would act out when we got home, terrible attitude, crying, hitting, it was almost unbearable. We talked to someone at the center and they mentioned how he wouldn't nap. Of course I know my child and I figured that could be a factor but they immediately dismissed any other concern. Fast forward a couple of months of literally heartache before and after school, Dmy husband gets a TEXT from his assistant teacher, saying she's quitting and walking out and she cares so much about our that she's worried about his safety because our son was being mistreated and she thought we should know. My husband immediately went to the school and talked to her, apparently two teachers were caught being high while "teaching" have been caught hitting children, falls asleep while watching kids and that they would purposely send our son home with sh*t in his UNDERWEAR just to inconvenience My husband and I because we were one of the last ones to pick him up for the day. I noticed on the cameras that this one teacher was ALWAYs sitting on her phone or the tablet they had. When my husband confronted the director she blew him off and offered half off tuition. My heart literally broke because our son was trying to tell us the best he could but he didn't know how. He's been at the learning experience ever since and has since never gave any issues going to school like he did before.

We let the ladies at Chesterbrook know that we were looking to move, and made sure to verify that our deposit would be refundable should we move out of the area. A few months later, we did wind up moving too far to make Chesterbrook a viable option, and began the process of having our money returned to us. Fast forward to March of 2022, and the quest continues. We have called FOURTEEN TIMES, spoken to a dizzying amount of "Laurens" and even had the one person that was handling our request go on maternity leave. Think about that; the person that was supposed to see to our refund had time to get pregnant, began maternity leave, and our money is still not refunded. I have been told countless times that I will receive a phone call. I usually don't. I have called their parent company, Spring Education Group, who have ALSO ignored my voice messages. You can't leave a voice message at Chesterbrook, as their mailbox is full. We have been patient, polite, understanding and calm through this whole ordeal. The ladies at Chesterbrook are always very nice and respectful when we do get to interact with them, but it's obvious that once they have your money, you're no longer a priority. The school itself seemed pretty old and a bit worn when we took our tour, but because the staff seemed so pleasant, we decided to make sure we reserved a spot. (Another thing they were a hard sell on.....they made sure to impress upon us that we should reserve immediately, or the spots would be gone. Red flag.) If I had known communication would be so rough, I never would have signed up. All I want is my refund. My daughter never set foot in their school, yet they are holding on to almost $500 of my money.
