This company was not picked Out by us ahead of time. We used a broker and they are the ones that did this. I cannot say strongly enough --- DO not use this company. Our $8500 estimate somehow skyrocketed to $15,800. Apparently it was a base fee. There was not enough people to pick up the Move, the truck was not big enough, they could not get furniture from upstairs down, they never did pack any food at all except for cans. Everything in our basement we had to box up after they left then process to carry it upstairs ourselves. The first night they said they were going to keep going until 2 o'clock in the morning. Thank goodness that did not happen because it would not have been 2 o'clock, but it would have been probably eight or nine in the morning. Our life went into a storage facility in Alabama (I had an apple air tag in a bag) and sat for weeks. October 11 it went into storage and we got our stuff November 3....We could never get an update. Finally it was let out of jail and headed our way stopping in Arkansas then Oklahoma. They arrived at 4 pm right in the middle of a snowstorm. They did not put any paper down on the floors. The driver said he picked two guys up off craigslist. Then the driver went to sleep in the truck and did nothing because he had a sore shoulder. Nightmare is an understatement. How does anyone even begin to pack boxes like they did. My most treasured possessions are broken. A KitchenAid mixer on top of crystal goblets. There was one box that did not break and that is because I watched him pack it in my house. After that, forget it. Cabinets broken. Things scratched and dented. They assured us that everything would be in tiptop shape before they left. They had no tools to put anything together and almost every box was not unpacked. We finally just told them to leave it in the garage and get out of here. Without a doubt, do not use this company. You would be better off renting a U-Haul truck, having guys load your stuff, and driving it yourself. Which is what we ended up doing with everything that did not fit in the truck. I wish I could give them no stars. They broke so many things during our move. They showed up 1.5 days late in a smaller truck than what was needed for our move. Unfortunately we had to go to closing while they were still moving. Luckily our buyers let us keep moving even after the closing. Even though they would have been liable for any injuries. The day before the company was supposed to show up, we got word that they under estimated the move. So we had to search the day before Christmas for a rental truck to pack as much as we could into the truck from the house. So after spending $15,000 for them to pack and move us, we had to rent a truck ourselves and pack and move it on top of their moving cost. There was no apology or anything. Just oh well. We realized that when they finished up with loading their truck, there was still room in the truck taken up by extra moving blankets, boxes not used, and other miscellaneous packing supplies. We were told during the quote that they would put down material so not to scratch up the new hardwood floors. Nope. Scratches all over. Holes in the wall. I could go on and on but I am too aggravated to keep it up. Trust me not to use this company. You will regret it. The moving guys were nice but the manager could care less about their work hours or the service you paid for. If you need to use them, make sure you pay extra for the private insurance. They are hard to get a hold of, I have already paid then almost $8000.00 and I still have no items and no idea of when or if I will ever receive any of my items. RUN FAST.... I helped my friend and her elderly mother move and this was the company chosen.. From the get go they were lied to about the price. The lead guy kept shoving different papers in our faces and would get aggravated and cut us off when we asked questions. All he could talk about was "cubic feet" WELL that cubic feet almost doubled the price. She was quoted 7k and ended up paying 12k. If we had not been there to help her who knows how much more it would have cost. They boxed it all up but would not load it until she signed a paper. Then they were told they would take her stuff straight to her home but once they got there they were told they had another stop UNLESS we paid more for a straight stop. DO NOT USE EAGLE MOVING OR INSTA MOVERS FOR OUT OF STATE MOVE Eagle moving was suggested to me by my recruiter. Eagle moving gave me an estimate based on an inventory list I supplied. Started at $4900. I added a few more items to my inventory before the movers showed up. This jumped my cost up to $7000. It was 100 cubic feet. Added another $2,000. Eagle movers told me they were a full service mover. So on moving day I expected a professional moving company to show up called "Eagle Movers". Instead, I found out they are a broker, and they contracted a terrible 2 star company out of Birmingham called Insta-Movers. The guys moving were nice enough, but clearly not professional movers. No stair protection was put on the stairs. They used my broom to prob the door open and destroyed it, instead of using a proper wedge. Things a professional moving company would not do. I was not told by Eagle moving company that there was a hidden stair fee. I also told them I had a dresser mirror during estimate stage. They did not tell me it was extra to wrap and crate it. I told Eagle movers I had a China cabinet They did not tell me there was an extra fee to crate it. Another hidden fee. On moving day Instamovers added another 250 cubic feet which they didn't even use, which bumped me up to 8,900. Some mistake was made on my paper work, a discount of $1,600 was shown. After I signed everything insta-movers dispatch called me and told me I owed them another $1,600 for and added 250 cubic feet that the driver added to make sure they were covered with space. I haven't received my stuff here yet, and I'm absolutely furious with the entire situation since I went from $4,900 to $8,900. On arrival day I was told mover would be there at 5pm They called at 6 and told me they had a truck issue and would be there the next morning (I don't believe that for a second) I was also told they only accept money order or cash even though my receipt has an option for cashiers check. My receipt from pick up with my list of items has 3 methods of payment to pick from Cashiers cheque Money order Cash They would not accept my cashier check from Bank of America. I moved from Hattiesburg, ms to port st lucie. They were to pick up on a tuesday. They changed it to thursday. I had to go ahead to secure storage unit. I had to be in person to do it. Thursday turned into friday and he said he would for sure be there sat morning at 8am. My friend was to let him in. She was a wreck. They came at 10am and I thought they were coming to fl. It went to alabama and sat for a month. I lost $177 storage fee. 3 months and just got it from storage. I have moved cross country 5 times. I pack well. Every box was smashed. Broken glasses, statues, a plant that I loved was literrally sideways and leaves broke and destroyed. I packed it in new box and thick pillows on 5 sides. It had to be thrown from the truck. Brand new mattress had what looked like coke spilled over the cover and under plastic I provided. So they waited to put plastic after it left the apt. This is by far the worst company I have ever encountered. I paid them to move from NOLA to Phoenix, and store my items for 3 months in the meantime in a climate controlled location. My mattresses were covered in mold on arrival. My 65" television was missing as were many other items. Countless items were broken. They had no accurate inventory, I had to tell them things were not mine when they tried to give me other people's items. They were days late with delivery. When I called them the day of delivery they were almost impossible to contact. Filed a claim, no compensation for my missing television, $60 for my moldy king sized mattresses. I would rather throw everything I own out then deal with this abhorrent company again. Thousands of dollars of missing and damaged property and was offered $300 in total compensation. Insta movers review DO NOT USE!! RUN RUN RUN RUN!!! So my original review was deleted apparently. I am going to be taking them to court because of the damages done to my property. I did not chose to work with this company but was more or less they were forced on to me through the broker (although i didn't know it was a broker until too late). I had paid for the they do everything package, the movers showed up unaware that this was what was happening (and because of this haphazardly packed my things resulting in wasted space in boxes and thus creating more items, I'm betting that so they could charge more since I actually had gotten rid of a few items that I had originally accounted for) I was also told that they had insurance and through the process of get things signed before the price goes up was not able to read the insurance policy, nor was I told that it would be a good idea to get insurance. Their "insurance" if you can call it that is $0.60 on the pound, not even on the dollar! meaning that my expensive items such as my flat screen tv and dyson cordless vacuum, although damaged and needs to be replaced (valued at a little of $1200) and every other item (things didn't even make it as they were broken along the way or a box CLEARLY marked FRAGILE on all sides) I was told by insurance the check for EVERYTHING would be $63 and change because of weight. Considering the damage to repair or replace cost over 5000. I went in to mediation and got a small "settlement" (not enough but at least something) with the broker. But Insta Movers has claimed that they have not done anything wrong. I wonder how that could possibly be the take that they are taking as THEY are the ones that did all the packing AND moving. My mediator was the one that suggested that I take them to court as he knowing all the information and has talked with the broker and insta movers knows all the details of the case, and says that my case is strong against them. I just dont understand how the party responsible for the actual moving process can claim that they have done nothing wrong. I DID DAMAGE MY OWN THINGS!!! also their insurance CSI is a complete joke and I would assume are fraud as well because they had stop responding except for to tell me months later that since I haven't dont anything for a few month (WAITING FOR THEM TO GET BACK TO ME) would be closed. When i told them that I was waiting for them they completely changed my case manager and only a phone number to contact and no email, considering their hours are only during business hours that will not work. Believe all the 1 star reviews, and dont trust the 5 star. I also ended up with someone else tote that contained, what i would value, over $2K worth of DVDs and CDs with multiple box sets. They wouldn't even take it back when i said it wasn't mine but because the tag on it was "mine" they said it was mine. Why would I claim something as not mine? that also put me out in terms of space and time and having to lug something incredible heavy down 3 flights of stairs. I was scammed by Insta Movers. First they showed up to pickup my belongings and once they arrived and packed everything up, all of a sudden my quote was $600 more than what I was told over the phone. They showed up at my new address 4 weeks later, had damaged my items and lost 4 boxes and two pieces of furniture. They have yet to locate my lost items and are only offering $300 in "good faith". What was lost was easily worth over a grand, not to mention keepsakes that can never be replaced. read more

On June 21, 2022, we retained New Leaf Moving Group / Insta-Movers (Order No. QB6272776) to pack and move our possessions from Snellville, GA to Chatsworth, CA. We were told that our total charge would be $21,138.28. But once they had possession of our property, we were forced to pay them an additional $8,94001 going to New Leaf Moving Group totaling $30,078.36 in order for them to deliver our possessions to us in Chatsworth, CA. We also had to wait a month to receive our possessions. As we were unpacking, we noticed that there were many broken/damaged items e.g., 65" TV, Standalone Bar. (2) Storage Containers, 3 Drawer File Cabinet and many of the boxes were crushed and some with water damage to the contents. We addressed these issues and more, on October 18, 2022, by letter directly to Joseph Hazan, CEO of Insta Movers. Mr. Hazen, nor anyone else from Inst-Movers ever responded. New Leaf Moving Group has also never responded. We have been harmed by New Leaf Moving Group / Insta-Movers and feel that they should compensate us for the excess charges and pay for the damages they did to our property. read more

WARNING! RUN AWAY FROM INSTAMOVERS. They treated my boxes like junk and broke thousands of dollars' worth of my belongings -even after I paid THEM to pack it. They over-charged me by 800 cubic feet. They pressure you to sign all of the small print after your belongings are loaded on their truck. My belongings were stored in intense heat for 2 weeks! Their insurance only pays $0.60 on the POUND. For my $3000 OLED TV that they packed (improperly) and broke, that comes to $31!!! They also charged me for a special $50 TV "box" they never brought! They were late for pickup, and I had to delay 2 closings because of their tardiness. They hire moving help off of Craigslist and lie about almost everything. Too many more horror stories to list. Run! Run! Run! In all my life this is one of the most difficult companies I have ever worked with for a move. The amount of damage that was done to our items is just sickening. I found their business practices to be unethical and predatory. They doubled the amount originally quoted because they said it was taking up twice the space in the truck. Well we found out why once our furnishings arrived. They used giant wardrobe boxes for a lot of the items. One wardrobe box only contained a plastic laundry basket and one other small item. They packed end tables in wardrobe boxes. They packed floor lamps in wardrobe boxes and then cut out a hole in the top for the lamp to stick out. Needless to say, they were damaged. This company was so difficult to get in contact with. We eventually had to ask other family members to call because they stopped answering out calls.
