The staff is incredibly rude, they never answer the phone, and once they get your money, they couldn't care less about you. I bought a 2012 Ford Focus, and three days after driving it off the lot, the transmission completely failed. On top of that, the back window stopped working too. While cleaning the car, I found a "NOT READY TO SELL" sign hidden under the floor mat. When I brought it up, they claimed it was "routine signage" and that the car was ready to sell - what a joke. I had to argue and threaten legal action just to get them to fix the transmission. They took the car and kept it for two weeks, trying to repair it. The back window remained broken -- they said it was an electrical issue and couldn't figure it out. Once I finally got the car back, the ABS and traction control lights started coming on randomly. I didn't even bother calling them back because I knew it would just turn into another argument. To make things worse, they insisted I still had to make payments on the car during the two weeks they had it, even though I didn't have the car. They promised to credit my account for that time, but surprise -- they never did. A month later, they even tried to disable my car remotely because of a "missed payment" -- which was during the period they were supposedly giving me a credit for. Fast forward 6 months: transmission fails AGAIN. I was told the replacement came with a lifetime warranty, but now they claim it was only a 6-month warranty, and that it had expired at the beginning of the month, not the actual purchase date. Convenient, right? I finally gave up and told them I wanted to return the vehicle. They said they'd pick it up "when they want to" and when I called back, I was told they only pick up cars that they feel are worth it -- and was sarcastically asked, "Did you really think you could get a 2012 and not have any problems?" For context: I'm paying $500/month not including insurance for this absolute lemon. They sold me a junky, unsafe, unreliable vehicle, and then treated me like garbage every step of the way. Avoid InstaCredit AutoMart in Collinsville like the plague. Unprofessional, dishonest, and clearly only in it for the money -- once you sign, you're on your own. This is one of the car dealerships we shopped when looking for a new used car for the SO. Actually, I made him go to this lot simply because they use Shelties' in their TV ads. Also, I have a friend who had a very good experience with another location. When I shopped with her, I got to meet the Shelties. Us Sheltie people stick together. They offered a good selection of compact, sedan and sports utility vehicles. We test drove a Jeep, which was clean and well maintained. Chad our salesperson was helpful and understood your price range. I liked the fact that he respected it and did not try to push us out of it like other places we had visited earlier. It wasn't an issue for us, but Instacredit Automart can help those with difficult credit get approved. We ended up finding a CRV on Craigslist that we love, but if that one did not work out - the Jeep at Instantcredit Automart would have been the second choice. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had bought a grey Honda Civic from them around 11/2021. Everything was fine up until yesterday. My car was repossessed because my bank had teveresed 2 months of payments and it was because of technical difficulties. The night before my car was repossessed I had took out from the bank $ 660 around 11 pm before I had to go to work. Around 9 pm I get off from work and my car is gone. I instantly call Instacredit. The first guy was rude over the phone telling me that I may not get my car back. I decided to go up there and get my car because I knew I had the money to pay for it in my arm rest. When I arrived my window was down and my money was missing from my arm rest. What the dealership told me was that they weren't responsible for my money being missing. And that's the best idea would be to call the tow company back who picked my car up. Robert the guy I was speaking to when I arrived gave my a fake business name and fake business number for the "tow" he ordered on my car at 6:30 that morning. He said it was CAS COLLECTIONS and that the number was (314)581-4886. That is not a real towing company anywhere. He kicked me out of the building after giving me the fake number. I called the number outside of the building with the police to listen. The person over the phone talks and it sounds like Robert. The guy that just kicked me out of the building. As soon as I said his name. He hung up. I asked Robert about the money missing in my arm rest many times. His favorite rebuddle was " how do I know there was any money in the arm rest ". This was extremely unprofessional. He didn't help me to the best of his ability. He didn't show any professionalism or any kind of customer service. He actually included a tow bill and an extra 220 for my next bill on my account. I left the car up there because at this point I would have to pay 1300 to pick up. Even though My bank had already sent them the payments back the same day I was there. Never ever trust these people. They are liars and thieves and don't deserve great customers like you and I. Unless you absolutely have to, do not under any circumstance buy a car from InstaCredit. Their warranty is a COMPLETE LIE. I was sold a junk car that they "patched up" to make it seem like it was fine. Turns out, less than 6 months later, I have to get over $1000 in work done on my car, half of which I found out DURING the warranty period and they told me there was nothing they could do for me... The guy from service literally said, "Oh well." So now I'm gonna end up spending a ton of money I don't have on a complete junk car and try to still make all my payments so I don't have a repo on my credit. Do not trust Stephanie at Fairview Heights who sold me my car in March 2018. She had me test drive three cars that were clearly busted and then once I kept saying they were busted, she found one that had been patched just right that my mechanic didn't notice the major issues. If your credit is bad and you have to go here then, sure try it. The finance department is good and the interest rate is better than going to a regular dealership and getting an interest rate of 27% or more but if you can get the same interest rate elsewhere, go elsewhere. I'm so angry with this company minus the finance department. They sold me a car that was junk and even acknowledged the issues "they thought they fixed," when I brought it to their attention within the warranty period but still refused to fix them. I had the pleasure of talking to "the God" of Insta Credit Automart. This is the second car I bought from them and I thought that as a returning customer I would be treated nice. Boy was I wrong! This company has absolutely NO customer service. First they falsified the safety inspection. I had the car less than 3 weeks before the breaks went out completely. We almost got into a complete wreak on 44 because we could not stop. Then when I asked for a copy of the bill of sale for the tow company I was told that I had to come down and sign a paper, great except for one thing, I don't have my car. Here is an idea the tow company has to verify my ID in order for me to get my car. "the God" of Insta called me "sweetheart" in order to in his words "calm me down as a father would", excuse me my dad does not call me sweetheart. Now the suspension broke in my car, please keep in mind this 2 months of me having the car. OK I will pay for it but hey in order for them to do the work I need to sign a piece of paper, OK can you email it to me, beings well you have my car and it is 30.00 UBER ride each way to sign the paper. I was told that it is not legal by them. When I pointed out to them that I work for a law firm and it is legal I got back to and told that they are not changing policy for me. Then "the God" says there is nothing he will do. Now I have been in customer service for many years and I have NEVER talked to anyone like this, when asking to speak to his supervisor he told me he was it, the "God" of Insta, I was not allowed to talk to anyone else but him. Instacredit refused to fix the problem until I made a bad review on facebook. Then they had me being it in, didn't provide a rental, and kept it a day just to reset the engine light again, not fixing the problem. Now I had to get it inspected, and couldn't pass. Im new to missouri and they also didn't explain sales tax is paid from me at dmv and decided to take all my money for down payment. Then the car broke down again. They will sale you bad cars then threaten to take you to court and garnish your wages with no empathy on selling you a bad car. I know a former instacredit employee and he said that these cars are bought at an auction, and any issues are just covered up long enough to be bought. Another friend of mine bought a vehicle just to have the engine blow a little more than a month into it. My boyfriend purchased a vehicle from here a little over a year ago. I called instacredit to try and get the car turned on for a few hours as he had a cardiac arrest while driving and the car is parked on a street. He is now on life support and may not wake up. They told me that they would not help me, hung up on me, placed me on hold, and told multiple different versions of what they could and couldn't do depending on the person I spoke with. They even tried to get me to agree to a repo by acting like they were helping!!. Then they tried to push me to pay the bill. I asked them if he had a disability clause in the contract and they said they weren't sure. Myself and his mother asked for a copy of the contract so we could look at it ourselves and they said they had to speak to him. They are playing games to try and get money and refusing to help a customer is critical condition. I could give permission to repo or a could give you money....but I am not authorized, nor his mom, to look at a contract? Not able to fill tank with gas without it inaccurately clicking off and other things wrong shortly after buying. I bought a car from here Feb 2018-- Its may 2019...Devon was my sales REP he was fabulous... Even with having to switch vehicles multiple times because the electric computer module went out 2 weeks after having the car I still sent two people to purchase a vehicle from here. I pay faithfully-- Have never went more then 2 weeks without making a payment. Their customer service is CRAP they can't have monitored quality and assurance. Their policy states if you go more than 2 weeks with out a payment they can Lock your account and shut your car off. I have NEVER went more then 2 weeks yet I always have to call for a locked Online account. When you call they transfer you without a thought and make you start your entire reason for calling over. Very unprofessional it makes no sense for a company as reputable as Instacredit to have such employees collecting a check every pay period. It has been nothing but pure BS since day one. These "buy here pay here" used auto sales places are the most crooked most expensive outlets that exist today for any sucker looking to purchase a reliable vehicle. If you buy a car from any of these places without first going to your local credit union to obtain financing, you will be paying for it for the rest of your life! These crooks sole existence is to prey on the unsuspecting, mostly young, innocent and very naive folk who usually have tarnished or no credit or for some reason cannot get a good conventional financing from a bank. If you walk into your local credit union and they turn you down for an auto loan, then the best option for buying a car is to scrape up as much money as you can and buy a car from an individual who is selling their own personal vehicle on Craigslist. You will find several people selling decent cars on Craigslist for under $2,000 who are not out to own your soul like InstaCredit Automart or similar "buy here pay here" used auto dealerships are trying to do. Sure you might end up buying a lemon on Craigslist, but at least you won't be making additional car payments while trying to come up with money for repairs and your credit isn't being affected in any way either. Hands down worst company I've ever dealt with. There was 5 engines put into my car in the short 2 and a half years I had it. Of which I had to pay for two which they added to my payments. So a car that was worth maybe 5,000 was going to cost me over 20,000. None of the engine failure was any fault of mine it was their poor management. They didn't even refurbish the junk yard engines just threw them into my car. This place is for people with little or bad credit to get a car so the quality obviously isn't going to be amazing but this is just ridiculous. Every time they had my car to repair an engine they had it for at least two weeks and offered no rental or discounts on a rental or payment or anything even when they were 100% at fault. I finally decided to turn it in because it just was not worth it anymore. And now I know they are going to sue me for the car and try and garnish my wages and I will be suffering from this horrible companies mistakes for years to come. So just a warning to all do not go to this place. I know you may think you need a car but trust me nothing can be worse than dealing with this company. It's all great at first but it quickly goes down hill. In fact the only nice thing I have to say about this place is that some of the office ladies that you give your payments to are very friendly.
