This was my second attempt back at the studio and I am glad I gave it another try. When I first came, it was overwhelming and I had NO idea what was going. I swore it off however I went and tried other studios where I could get more confident and understand the form. So coming back to Instaphysique I had more of a foundational knowledge and knew what was ahead of me. But not only that but you also start to find instructors that you prefer their cues and/or energy and that makes a HUGE difference. I love my classes Kristin and Marisa. Clear cues and they have no mercy on my hammies and booty cheeks - but in a good way. When I started I was 5 months postpartum and they were very dedicated to giving me modifications but as soon as my strength started to build again, they challenged me without being pushy or making me feel bad if I couldn't follow. Some tactical things: parking is great in the morning but once 12p and beyond hit, you're fighting lunch and dinner crowds in the parking lot. Not impossible but just not princess parking. There are two clean restrooms in the studio. There isn't really a designated bag/shoe place but you can have it at your station or against the wall. Classes are a bit pricey, I have a membership to cut some cost. However, it's a great 40 minutes and it goes by super fast. I find it to be a VERY efficient burn. read more

My cousin has graciously granted me the buddy pass so I've been to InstaPhysique twice and both times at this Roseville location. Parking is easy and location is in a quaint plaza. Parking is probably the easiest thing you will find yourself experiencing because once you get on the reformer, everything becomes a matter of questioning if you ever really knew pain before because the workouts are NO JOKE! As someone who just weight lifts and walks, this studio is challenging in the best way. Who knew we could shake or want to give up so many times during a workout? My first time, I came in bold. Then, I was quickly humbled. This place is a great addition to your workout regime or to have as your one and only fitness membership. Everyone is so friendly and the coaches are awesome. Honestly with so many choices of fitness classes around here, Instaphysique was the best workout experience I've ever had. All the coaches are great, I get 40mins of sweating my toosh off, toning & sliming down, while also feeling empowered by the coaches. I started seeing the results after 8 classes where my body was already feeling the soreness after day 1, but doing their Instaroll always rests my body for the week. I've completed 15 classes so far and I have nothing but amazing things to say about InstaPhysique. I used to be a competitive gymnast, but after three hip surgeries, muscle atrophy, and 2 babies, I am finally back to working out on a regular basis. I am feeling SO strong now that I am consistently attending classes a couple times per week. I love that classes are only 40 minutes-- I can do ANYTHING for 40 minutes. Coming to the studio has become my "me" time and I genuinely look forward to waking up early for a class. I wake up sore every morning after I workout! I've taken classes with 7 different instructors and every single one of them is knowledgeable, helpful, and unique in their teaching style and routine. I love the energy, music, and style of workout that InstaPhysique offers. Instructors are quick to offer modifications when positions aren't working with my hips. I think the best part of class though is looking around and seeing the diverse group of people in attendance. 10/10 recommend the challenge! read more

I've been coming for six years now and this is still my favorite workout. I used to do hot yoga, but that was a major time commitment and hard to keep up with my busy schedule. I love that Insta is a great full body workout in only 40 minutes. It makes it much easier to keep up the habit of going on a regular basis. Also, its never gotten easy! Any time a move starts to get easy for me, one of the coaches will give me tips on how to adjust my form or my level of resistance to make things hard again. read more

Hands down the most efficient, challenging, ever evolving, and fun workout I have done in years. If you crave a consistently challenging class that is just 40 minutes then this format delivers every time. MegaFormers offer the body various challenges that cannot be experienced in other formats. The spring loads can go from 5-80 pounds which is a fantastic range. The stability and flexibility elements pair nicely with the power and endurance that the MegaFormer calls for. There is always somewhere to go and I have yet to get bored of this format. As someone with a ton of dancer injuries I adore this workout as it has helped me with my hips, IT bands, knee injuries, and lower back instability. Get ready for your body to start shaking! There's nothing that can prepare you for this 40 minute workout. I thought my legs were in pretty good shape, but I was wrong. My legs were shaking with each movement and the burn was like nothing I've ever felt before. The classes are small and the instructors are there to help you out and make sure you're getting a workout. The slow movements really test your strength. This is a good mix to add in to your daily gym routine. The classes I've gone to have been different, but just as hard. You're gonna leave there wanting to go back. How you feel two days later goes to show you how intense that workout was. As a new resident to the area and a traveler, ClassPass recommended this studio to me. I love pilates and attended regularly before moving so this seemed like a great pick. Wrong! About the Pilates part. This is a complete full body workout that is intense. It was a cardio and full-body workout that left every muscle shaking, I was so sore for two days after the same way I feel after weight lifting. The instructor was very helpful since the machine was completely new to me and the moves were difficult to follow at times, this is the type of workout that only gets easier to follow with consistent attendance. This place is absolutely phenomenal. Every trainer here is amazing and they work here because they are passionate about it. Rachel, (both) Amy's , and Jody were some of my personal favorites! All a little different in teaching style but all very effective in making me extremely sore. The workout itself is a combo of Pilates, and high intensity work. It's mostly all done on the Lagree Reformer. It's a full body work out, and it's not easy! In the span of 3 months 1-2 times a week and doing my long walks in the morning I lost close to 28 lbs. My body composition changed, my core strength was back to post-baby (come on long 3 minute plank holds), my legs were smaller and tighter I mean all around very effective workout. I referred a few friends here and the ones that stuck with it also saw awesome results and felt stronger and leaner overall. It's also super clean, modern and the music is loud and high energy! Every time I left I was shaking, energized and felt better than when I walked in. They have strict policies about class schedule and showing up to your class, there are fees involved with that which is one of the only reason I stopped going. With an unpredictable schedule, work and a toddler I needed to be sure I wasn't stressed about having to cancel last minute, and losing my classes. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny if you show up and do the work. On the flip side that can also motivate a person who is flakey so take it as you will! read more

I have been taking classes at instaphysique for about a year and absolutely love it. The classes are hard, but great and the studio has such a nice open, clean and energetic feel. Sarah is the main instructor I've taken classes with and she's amazing! Her energy, patience and enthusiasm really gets you going and keeps you motivated through-out class.
