When I was describing why I needed pain meds she literally laughed at me and said no! She sent me away and told me if I wanted pain medication I would have to see various specialists for the ailments I was describing to her and she proceeded to say that she will not be willing to medicate me for the problems I was describing ... After making appointments with the various specialists, then having to wait for appointments and still being in pain, it turns out I have needed three various surgeries since seeing her and the surgeries were all for the exact reasons she laughed at me and refused to treat my pain seriously over .... I now no longer need pain medication because I have had the problems fixed. If I would have continued seeing her, I would have just lived in Pain and never got the problems fixed since she thought it was comical that I was having the medical issues I was describing to her and did not take me seriously. I would not recommend this Dr. at all!

I was with a different medical group just because my prior PCP was down the street and I liked their office. I unfortunately had to switch insurance which bummed me out, but it turned out for the better and I'm so glad I picked Hoag. Not only are most of my specialists from the previous insurance with this group, but they have offices that are still conveniently close to home. The Hoag building in Foothill Ranch is new and beautiful. There are different suites inside that one building. There are many places to sit comfortably while you wait anywhere in the lobby. There is even a coffee shop with a barista! The lobby smelled amazing from the coffees and lattes. I didn't grab any this time but I for sure will order one the next time I'm there. The staff was very friendly, greeted me hello, said thank you and wished me a great rest of my day as I was leaving. I *think but I'm not positive, you can buy workout apparel there? Not sure. I just saw some exercise attire so I'm just assuming at this point. Hoag Medical Group, is a group I should've been with since a very long time ago. Too bad I waited so long to switch over. Even if you're not a patient, stop by and take a look. I think you'll be impressed. Plus, their offices weren't very responsive or helpful. She had been concerned about the drive to Irvine since she doesn't live in OC, but after meeting him today about a list of issues, she walked out feeling empowered and happy to be in some expert hands. I went with her to her appointment so I was there to see how he treated her. He asked her questions, listened to her answers, and carefully examined her as if she were his own mom. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that level of care and patience. Now my mom can't stop talking about how amazing Dr. Mikhail is -- she said that all her other doctors have never been so thorough. For instance, she has had breathing issues the last few years yet no one had ever had her do a breathing test to figure out the cause. Dr. Mikhail quickly got a test ready for her, then diagnosed and treated the issue. I can't thank Dr. Mikahil enough for all these years of outstanding service, expertise, and kindness. He is the kind of doctor that won't run batteries of tests on you unless it's actually called for. I now live 50 miles away from his office and will still make the drive down to see him. I've recommended a number of friends and colleagues to him throughout the years and they all agree that Dr. Mikhail is hands-down the BEST internist around. We are SO LUCKY to be his patients! P.S. However, I book my annual physical months in advance and she typically has many more openings through virtual appointments. Overall, I'm very impressed with my experience with Dr. Gore and I plan to have her as my PCP for many years to come.
