Went here to take one of my license exams. Place was easy to find; there are signs outside directing you. There are lockers to put your personal items in; which is a huge plus. The lockers are small though so don't bring a backpack, medium or large bag or purse. Bring as little as you can. Computers are fast. My complaints are that the testing room was really warm. The thermostat said 82 degrees Fahrenheit. That's hot for indoors! The lobby area was much cooler than the testing area. My other complaint is that; they do come in the testing area during the exam. It's distracting. They don't just do it once or twice but at least six visits in 3 hours. Also it's just cardboard dividers that separate the computers. read more

I have been to this testing site twice. The first time, it was a great experience. The second time was horrible and uncomfortable. The front desk person was not welcoming. I originally signed up for the test but when I get to the testing site, I find out via Yelp that the location classes 1 hour after my exam starts (these tests require more than 1 hour). I convey my concern respectfully and the front desk person does not seem to either understand me but I felt judged, unwelcomed, and almost treated like a child. I am not sure where I exactly offended him/her/them but I was very kind. I want to leave this place and just cry. The person did not display any sense of kindness and welcoming. After seeing their attitude, I just wanted to leave and get it over with. I will never return to this place. I literally made every attempt to be friendly and express myself in a professional manner when I would speak to them, but there was no way to it. The young gentleman who works there was very nice but the front desk person does not embody nor display basic customer service. Came here to take a test. IDT provided detail instructions on how to find the building and where to park which was very helpful. Emilo (office staff) helped me with the check in and gave me instructions regarding the test. He was very nice. The testing center has free lockers where you can put all your belongings before entering the testing room. My overall experience was good at this testing center. read more

Writing this review for any ARE candidate who has heard horror stories from other LA PSI locations. I drove here from Santa Monica, and it was definitely worth it! The room was just like prometric, very clean and a simple check in procedure. I had a 4 hour+ PDD exam, and by the last 1.5 hours I was the only one in the room. The room was comfortably air-conditioned, and the computer was fast and without lag on case studies for the most part. The staff was super friendly. It was a very smooth test-taking experience, and I recommend this location to all. I will be back for my next exam! Chose this testing site (one of several in my area) thru the BCEN to take the CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) exam. I had tested here numerous times before back when I was in college and never had a bad experience. Sadly, this time it turned out to be a big mistake. Showed up an hour early and was sitting outside reviewing the material, when the front desk person came out and rudely told me to use the restroom and come in lol. I notified her that I was 1 hour early and she said "I still have to tell you. We check everything (pointed to cameras), turn off your cell phone when you come in." After 15 minutes, I turn off my phone (as instructed by the warden), go inside and she yells at me "Sir, go outside and get a number! You said you'd been here before!" Extremely disrespectful and unnecessary behavior, adding additional stress to the test taker. I think she should realize test-takers are customers; the judge didn't send us to you, we chose the site. I asked her name, and she refused to provide it to me. She said "you want to report me to my boss, no I report you." (lol) She then proceeded to the other room to "call the BCEN and report" me. She then said she is going to refuse to administer the test. This obviously, didn't happen. Thankfully, Emilio was there, witnessed it all and was extremely professional in helping me set up the test. (That extra star is for him) Sad to see business owners invest money, time and resources into creating a professional business, then have an irresponsible and disrespectful hourly employee try to ruin it. Needless to say, avoid this place, unless you like being unfairly treated like mischievous 3-year-old by an angry warden-wannabe. I have also sent an email to BCEN to re-consider listing this testing site as an option. PS: As a healthcare professional, I feel that she needs professional help and I truly hope she seeks it. IDT = I Did Try. This review is not so much for IDT, but my interactions with the admissions counselor Emilio this weekend which was extremely weird. First, the local 818 number goes to the owner Juan's cell VM with no explanation who he was until he called back, explained and connected me to Emilio, who spoke 45+ minutes on the phone almost nonstop about how he helps the homeless having been one and gets people off drugs. This was odd as I explained that I don't do drugs and am working but looking to switch careers and qualify for WIOA training. I don't know why he assumed that I was homeless or unemployed, a bit of a red flag, but figured maybe he was just passionate about people getting trained and finding work. That was my mistake as it got worse. When I went to meet him, I figured the 90 minutes free parking would be plenty. Was I wrong! First, he wasn't ready. Next, the first words out of his mouth were "Oh, you don't look like a Camacho, you look like some white boy!" He later asked what languages I speak besides English and I said that I speak intermediate Spanish. He said "So, you speak like a gringo." He also mentioned a successful black woman alumna who is "well-spoken" and "she doesn't speak all ghetto." I guess casual racism usually sells well? He also brought up politics which was completely unrelated and inappropriate as it had nothing to do with our discussion, and he went on a rant blaming the Republicans as the reason why California lost a lot of business (despite CA's gov't being heavily Democrat and being the highest taxed in the US) and blamed other things out of left field (no pun intended) like his bad past business partners. All their fault, of course. I finally had to interrupt him just to get to my questions since we were running out of time and packed my bag, signaling I had to go. I wasn't about to pay for parking just to hear him ramble. Nevertheless, I kept it professional and barely managed to escape before my parking expired. I even followed up with a polite email with 2 questions since I didn't get to them due to his dominating the conversation with random tangents: Hi Emilio, It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with you today as you answered a lot of my questions. I had 2 remaining: 1) Is there a way to see your job placement percentages for students and/or companies whom you place with? 2) Is there a way to see the curriculum/course content overview? There is a school in orange county that charges $45,000 in orange for the same IT Security Administrator and the students are 100% to find for their own job leads.
