I was seen by NP Maureen Bailey last week and tested positive for H. pylori. Despite reaching out, I haven't received a response in over 72 hours. Instead of addressing the infection, I was only prescribed an acid reducer, which doesn't treat H. pylori. Extremely frustrated with the lack of timely and appropriate care. Avoid this place. They absolutely don't know what they're doing. read more

After reading some of these reviews I guess I am not the only person who feels this way. Dr. Hwang is awesome but everything else is horrendous. I called 5 times in the span of 2 weeks and never got through, never a call back after a message, and 2 months later do not have my prescription. I drove over two hours to go to my appointment to find out that the time given to me when I scheduled the appointment was incorrect when I got there. I explained that I drove 2 hours and it was their mistake and they basically told be to pound sand in certain terms. After using a vacation day and 4 hours of my life that I will never get back, I had to wait another few months to get a new appointment. If it weren't for Dr Hwang I would go somewhere else. An absolute embarrassment. read more

I tried to make an appointment for my brother who wasn't feeling well. I was on the phone for a very long time, only to find out that the office representative wanted my brother's credit card number before making the appointment. I told her that I didn't have it and she could get the credit card when my brother was seen. She refused to make the appointment without the credit card. The crazy thing is, he has been a patient there for many years and they knew him! I have never met a doctor's office that was more interested in getting a credit card number than trying to care for the patient. This office truly proved to me that money was definitely more important than medical care!!! My brother will never return, please go somewhere else where they actually care about their patients! read more

This company is an absolute joke. They recommend that I have a colonoscopy because my colon was inflamed. I get to my surgery I'm on the operating table. Dr. Mirenali asks me why I'm there and says "I haven't read your scan". I go under for the surgery 5 minutes later they say "I'm not clear". I need to come back tomorrow for another surgery. So I show up 9am right on time when they tell me to arrive. I get there and they don't even have me on the schedule. Naturally I'm upset and made some complaints about the communication issues I was having. I show up for my follow-up appointment and they say they are dismissing me from the practice for "abusing staff" because they didn't like that I wrote a bad review on Google about them. So I say fine no problem. I ask to have my medical records released to a different GI Dr to takes them almost two weeks to actually perform the request. Once it's finally done third director of operations calls my new Dr director of operations and requests that they don't see me. So they actually are colluding with another office to deny me care all because they were upset I gave them a bad review. This place is filled with Drs and staff who are incompetent unethical and vindictive. Whatever you do - do not see them. They are a complete circus. read more

I have always had a great experience, I think the older reviews DURING COVID are not accurate or the case any longer. The portal is great. The services provided are beyond helpful. Gone for various things over the past 5 years and it's always a good experience. read more

I don't even know where to begin. Patients can't even talk to someone in the office or book appointments through the portal. Have been with them for quite a few years. Only stay because I was with other local GI and switched due to problem with that office. Was told by both offices can't switch back and forth, nor can I switch doctors internally. What happened to patient rights? I am on 5yr colonoscopy/endoscopy schedule due to family history and keep getting reports that conflict with my medical records. Now have pancreas and liver issues and really not comfortable with how they are handling if anyone there handle both and just trying to get an appointment with anyone that may. I am now trying to get appt with hepatologist with MGH. I could get into more detail, but that will just get me frustrated. read more

Loved Dr. Szeto but the practice is awful. Total lack of internal communication. The people are nice enough but unfortunately the follow through is non existent. Billing errors on their part resulted in my account going to a collection service in spite of my regular inquiries, and the practice manager doesn't answer or return calls. I agree with other comments regarding not being able to speak to office. First contact with office is with a call center person who only understand what the prompts are. You get transferred around and have to leave a message.consult was fine. check in front staff nice. I met with one doctor for my consult. The. Find out my colonoscopy was booked with a different doctor?! No one asked my preference. Check out person was alone and overwhelmed. Didn't explain anything to me. (1st time). Colonoscopy day, Dr. Aggarawal Was fantastic!!! Kind. Funny. Explained everything. Was called 3 weeks after procedure to book follow up for results which took 1 1/2 months to get appt. So now 3 months out. They want to charge me more than double my copay to get results. When I called to question. Man was rude. Talked over me and said I didn't know what I was talking about. I know my copay as I called insurance to confirm. appointment canceled as they would not see me unless I paid. Never got to discuss results of testing. Very disappointed!! Providers were nice. But reviews are correct. You are just a number!! read more

Utter Garbage service. Dr.Tilson is NEVER in the office. A normal exam took 3 or 4 reschedules because "Dr.Tilson wouldn't be in the office that day" or "Dr.Tilson is not available at that time." That eventually turned from an exam to a phone appointment. And for an endoscopy, 18 hours away from the scheduled time, they called, and guess what? They said, "Dr.Tilson isn't available that afternoon, could you do another time?" Wow, left me a whole lot of time to adjust eh? Would not recommend it at all. Maybe the place would be better if they actually had a doctor because Mr.TIlson over there is apparently never there. read more

This is the worst run office I have ever encountered. The telephone system is a bog, and it's hard to ever talk to a person. No one ever calls back. Appointments take forever to get. Staff was rude. Doctor never called me after a failed manometry attempt. I have attempted to cancel the next test by phone, twice, requesting some kind of confirmation of this cancellation but instead have gotten both an email and a phone call confirming my appointment. It's too bad, because Dr. Hwang was nice on the phone and came highly recommended, but I will go elsewhere. read more

I am not one to write a review especially a not so favorable one, but I was diagnosed with SIBO and it took many calls to get a plan in place to try and control this horrible illness, diseases whatever you want to call it. The lack of communication from this group has been so disappointing as they do not respond to your emails through their portal, phone messages, and voice messages. We are ALL busy but you take an oath when you work in the medical field to try and provide support for your patients whether they need one visit or multi visits we have questions and concerns, this is so disappointing at the lack of caring as you are definitely not a priority, they make that perfectly clear by the lack of empathy, if you do however, get a response it is a one word answer and it leaves you complete confused. Your treatment here is "google it yourself", as you have no idea what to do. I do not want to mention specific people, but beware it is across the board with follow-ups, you literally have to hound them to get a call back. I am still waiting for any communication back from the Doctor, NP, office, I would take the maintenance person at this point. Very sad as I feel my health is important and they do not. Please take this review as my story and apparently looking at the ratings on here I am not the only one that feels this way. read more

I dealt with their Lowell office for a colonoscopy recently. The physician I dealt with was Dr. Heidi Ahmed. The entire experience, from scheduling the appointment, preparing for the procedure, the procedure itself, to the "debriefing" at the end was fantastic. Probably the best medical office I've had to deal with. My highest recommendation. read more

Best group in Massachusetts, I moved out of Boston and was a little worried that the care would be less... INFINITELY BETTER! I am so glad to have found IGIC. Extremely helpful staff, doctor had a great bedside manner and calmed my concern of living with this issue for any longer. The procedure was smooth, the results were clear but I wanted more explanation and got it. I can not believe this level of care is right here - I am grateful to them. HIGHEST RECOMENDATION. read more
