Dr Dominic Gucciardo is a wonderful veterinarian that is amazing what he does and very kind and caring. His wife also works at the vet and she is great along with the whole staff. I've been going to Dr. G for a decade now. I really love the quality of care, and he saved one of my dogs' lives when he had colon cancer and needed a full bowel resection surgery. He is an excellent surgeon and he stayed on a weekend to do it even though he didn't have to. If my dog had gone to an ER I wouldn't have been able to afford the bill and he would have died. But Dr. G saved him. I trust my dogs are in good hands. I also like that they dont push unnecessary services when we go, and are open to different healthy diets and treatments, not just Western medicine. read more

Dr. Gucciardo and his Assistance Tracy is fantastic but the wait time to be seen WITH an appointment is from one hour to 1.25 hours wait because they tend to overbook their client and the parking is limited and tight. (This happened to me 4 times! ) And, There is only one long bench to wait and everyone must wait with their pets in their own vehicle. Although, their price is fair ( not expensive), it is very frustrating and aggravating to my person. Like the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for". Integrative veterinary have a lot of clients and not enough rooms or staff. They claim they will be moving for 2 years and i have yet to see that. And, they cut corners by not printing out recipts, instructions and when i complained they want to charge me $1.00 for each printed page of the itemized receipt. Whenever i call for an appointment, i would be put on hold for a long time, if not disconnected. This place is substandard. I went there because it was the closest and cheapest veterinary, but not any more. They raised their prices. read more

Love Dr. G!!! He's the absolute best!!!! My now 16 and 1/2 Pomeranian have been with him for years now! Whether it's been a scheduled, check up, appointment that was made or an emergency appointment (where you are told there will be a wait) they always accommodate She loves dr g and is always been given the most attentive beautiful care. I've called up morning of and they've gotten me in for emergency immediately her being a she being a senior now needs a lot more of those types of visits. Thanks to Dr. G and his amazing staff. There are two vets in the general area that I really love, one in particular I've been taking my pets to for the last 12 years. The other vet I've gone to a handful of times in as many years and I've always been very pleased with the doctors, staff and care my pets have received there too. I loved my long-time vet and his staff so much that I continued bringing my pets to him despite moving further away a few years ago, but taking an ailing pet on a 35 minute car ride isn't always ideal. Enter Integrative Veterinary Therapies. I recently trapped a friendly outdoor stray cat that I had been feeding for the last year and a half, and the rescuer who helped me pull this feat off recommended Dr. Gee and his staff to have the cat checked out, scanned for a chip and vaccinated/tested before bringing her into the home with my other pets. Not only was IVT recommenced because of the outstanding care they give their furry clients, but also because Dr. Gee and his staff specialize in handling and treating feral cats. I knew I had to go here, not only because they were a short 15 minute car ride away, but especially since I didn't know how the new kitty would respond to a full exam. Just because she was friendly with me didn't mean she would be behave during a full exam. Well. To say my friend and I were blown away is an understatement. The first thing they did while we waited was spray Feliway in the room and I do believe it helped calm her. The vet tech handled this cat in such a way like nothing I've ever seen before. I'm still shooketh lol. I could tell that the cat wasn't stressed out or being hurt in any way, it was almost as if she felt safe by the way she was being scruffed. The vet was able to do a full and thorough exam, draw blood for testing (all of which were negative thankfully, hooray!) and give vaccines quickly and efficiently and then we were back home in no time. I am so thankful to IVT and Dr. Gee and his staff for making this experience as painless as possible for both the kitty and myself. I cannot recommend them high enough and have already scheduled an appointment for my dog to have his well visit soon! read more

The absolute best!! Has to bring my beloved Pom because my regular vet was closed not only did they take us, they lit the lamp, gave us as much time we needed, made imprints of his little nose and paw prints, cut some of his fur and taped on the prints then the next day sent a card signed by all the staff expressing their condolences. When I called his vet the next day with the news got a "I'm sorry" then crickets. Highly recommend Dr G and his caring staff. this place. read more

This vet is spectacular! All their staff go above and beyond to work with my difficult hound. They are responsive, compassionate and very inexpensive. The doctor also has holistic approaches and knowledge that has helped my dog and saved a few others that I know of. i brought my dog in for a minor procedure and they said they don't know what happened but it died in recovery.it was a healthy 10 year old lab. the surgery was supposed to be done in the morning but due to another surgery going late they did'nt see my dog until after 4pm that friday.so i'm guessing they rushed it and most of the staff went home so no one was there to check up on my dog.so all we got was we are sorry we don't know what happened.this wiped out our family and our other dogs are so depressed over this.fuck them read more

This place is a huge scam I sat outside for over an hour after my appointment was scheduled when i was finally told to come inside they completely lied about prices over the phone tried scamming me into paying more money then what i was told. Okay, so I've raved about this office in the past, to my amazement, they are better and a positive experience that exceeds the previous. Screw the new NY license plate that says excelsior, this office is that definition to a T. EVERY SINGLE staff member is so great. They treat you and your pet as if it were their own. Bar none, unbelievably incredible bed side manners and genuine care. I'll be honest, Dr. G can be a little stone faced, or "seems," to extremely lax about your pet but, just like Einstein who was very blunt, Dr. G and his crew is the modern day Einstein for Dr.'s. Sparky, my best bud, has recently crossed over the rainbow bridge. But without Dr. G, Traci, Sam, and everyone at Integrative Vet, we would have lost him years ago. When I tell you that they worked wonders, that's an understatement. Acupuncture, herbs, western medicine, laser therapy, and more all helped to give Sparky an amazing few years added onto his life. And they did all of this with love and compassion. Sparky used to have to be dragged out of this vet because he loved it some much, and he'd literally run in. Met Dr.G today and he is amazing!! He is so gentle and kind, does a lot of charity work for the animals, and charges about half the price that our old vet did! My cat Moey has a skin condition where she needs Cortizone Injections every so often and the veterinarian we used to go to would take her in the back to give her the injection which always concerned me. This is our second trip to I.V.T. and I have to say that I'm so glad we followed Dr. G.. He and his staff are absolutely wonderful... From the office manager, to the techs, to the doctor, all caring and wonderful... I was hesitant about having my dogs teeth scaled because of a prior incident at another Vets office. Everything about the procedure was explained to me with patience and kindness. And I have to say that when I left my Yorkie there, I felt confident that she would be fine and she was! A world of difference between the last scaling and this one... If you're looking for a new Vet for you pet, I highly recommend I.V.T... Dr. G. and his staff are the best So, this morning we found a pool of blood on the floor from our dog, a very large pool of blood. I put her in the car and started driving to Dr. G's, {without an appointment} crying the whole way there. I was so scared! The staff took me right in, did tests, x-rays, etc. Turns out she had a gastric bleed. Dr. G. assured me that she could come back home with me and gave me medication to give to her. Dr. G and his staff are the best around. The service is personal and they truly care about your pets. I moved to Smithtown two years ago but I still drive 50 minutes to bring my dogs here. One of my dogs had to stay here overnight a couple of times for heartworm treatment and normally I'd be a nervous wreck but I knew he was being attended to and showered with love. The staff is Kind and Dr. G. Very Nice. I have always had a pleasant experience there. As difficult as it is to write this I feel the need to inform people who are considering leaving there pet ( I left my dog, who I consider my family ) there. My Dog a shi tzu , 14 yrs. old, and he was not feeling well and throwing up. They said I could bring him down. We sat waiting , a vet. Assist checked my dog out in car said he was very dehydrated. We waited because it was very busy . Since the closing of Dr. Wen in Southampton Dr. G has become extremely busy. We were finally seen after I told them my dog was vomiting blood. They hydrated him n gave him a shot for pain. I was NEVER informed that "it was time". My options from Dr G was to keep him over night ( not an option because facility does not have staff, or bring him back in morning and daily for shots. Along with what he already did I said I will bring him back . Whatever I have to do for him to make him comfortable I will do. The female vet assist came in after Dr G . She said they are open until 7 did I want to leave him until then for a IV drip which would be better for him and pick him up later. I thought he would be in good hand because I have never had a problem here and I thought I was doing what was best for my dog. I left my dog, before I did I asked if I can go with him to see where he was going to be and the young helper said I'm not allowed back there. I still thought I was doing good for my family member. Only to return at 7:00 pm and Be greeted by Dr G saying "it's time." I said what do you mean it's time. ? I want to see my dog now. My dog who was alive when I left him was now brought to me with his tongue hanging out and appeared deceased. I said why wasn't I called! I was In Shock and extremely upset, they said it just happened. My family member, my friend, my constant buddy died alone by himself in a cage and I was never notified or told ahead of time this is a possibility. I drove there thinking I was going to pick my dog up and he can be comfortable and be with me at home. Not alone and scared in a cage . This was a horrible experience and I will forever be scarred by this experience. I feel it was due to being so busy that paying attention to detail is neglected. To top it off the next day when I looked at the Bill I was charged for Euthenizing which I never approved. When I called about this they said it was an error my dog was not euthanized. ( I guess I have to believe this ) . If you are going to take on the burden of another practice that has closed please Dr G. Have the staff to take on the responsibilities that come with it. When things like this happen as nice as everyone is there and as cost effective your facility is , it makes it difficult to trust that the proper care will be given. I'm heartbroken over what happened. I hope this information helps someone else in the future. read more

My dog is gone because of the neglect there. Yes I got an appt just 2 days prior but he was so busy that didnt have the time to throughly examine my precious girl. So I have learned that when an animal is paralyzed they'll get bed sores just like people. Dr G shouldve known this and checked especially since I told him her butt was red and raw. He lifted her leg for a split second saying thats from her moving around. Not in 2 days they dont! They were bed sores and he didnt bother to look or was too STUPID to look. So for 6 days her sores festered. Had he given her a longer look maybe we could've addressed them and she'd still be alive. But after 6 days of neglect they were deep and there was nothing the BEST Vet could do for her. The sores were from paralysis and with long fur unable to see unless you lay them down and look for more than the 2 sec that he did. Perhaps they should inform people that they're overbooked and cant seem them until a later date. Then we can make other arrangements. I noticed they changed the name from Integrative Animal Hospital to Integrative Animal Therapies then handing out 'herbs'. Dr Wen you are not! read more

I am so happy that my friend recommended Dr. Gucciardo to me. I recently left my other vet practice after my dog had a partial mastectomy, due to a large tumor removal. One month after her surgery, she developed Diabetes. This was a devastating diagnosis for me to hear, especially right after dealing with the surgery that she just had. Dr. Gucciardo is a wonderful, caring veterinarian. Thankfully, he was able to regulate my dog's blood sugar levels. Dr. Gucciardo and his staff are truly wonderful and I wouldn't take my dog, Dolce, anywhere else. I appreciate everything that he has done for my dog. read more

Dr G was the vet who injected my sheltie for rabies , when he worked with dr wen, with the wrong medication. I had asked for vac without themerisol. The owner of westhampton vet, tried to mitigate and produced a bogus rabies certificate once they realized the mistake. Then They claimed it was a computer error but i took a photo of the vaccine he gave. They tried to make me sign a non disclosure and not talk about it. Not happening i told them. I am totally into integrative medicine and am now learning homeopathy so i didnt go to that vet without plenty of reassurance that they used non themerisol vaccine. Now 5 years later my sheltie is still dealing with the repercussions. People. Including vets. Make mistakes. The right thing would have been to admit it was human error, and offer help with the vaccine reaction. Not blame a computer that printed the wrong vaccine, including lot number!! Btw, This was not about money. I have excellent pet insurance and would re-mortgage my house if thats what it took for my furry kids. I always wondered why that nice man dr G didnt own up.
