They worked hard, were so knowledgeable, kept us informed, cleaned up the work site every day, replaced plants they had to remove to place lines, were so kind, and beyond honest. It was a joy working with them! This installation was for a 1/2 acre sloping lot complicated by tall, old trees, 30 year old gardens, a 20x40' gunite pool with a retaining wall and planting strip, a koi pond, a 20 x 20' aggregate patio, aggregate walkways, and a 20x20' workshop building. In short, everything that would make it difficult-was. Not a problem for them. They had reassured me me that if they dug into a 30 year old french drain on one side of our house, they'd replace it. They did and my husband told them it wasn't necessary to replace because it was full of dirt and probably not working. They noticed it was working, had to be there, and they replaced it because otherwise, we would have a drainage problem on one side of our house.

Longer review: Al Cooper (owner) personally responded to my call to get a quote for paving a LONG driveway in the country. He came out to look at the project, even though it was a 100 mile drive for him (one way). That impressed me. We talked details of the project, and he quickly provided a quote. He answered my questions. He kept me informed about when we might be able to get started. It was winter and the weather had to cooperate. So did the the local asphalt mixing company since I am too far from Memphis to use his normal supplier. When the weather finally warmed up, Al called and informed me of our start date. He laid out the plan and expected completion date, too. On the start date, he showed up with his team and got started right away. They worked hard and got it ALL done ahead of schedule and it was great. What was once gravel, potholes, and dirt was now well laid pavement. I am a happy customer. Al was always honest with me and never tried to 'bump' his quote or add to the price, as some folks tend to do. What he quoted me was what it cost. Al also personally supervised the work the entire time, start to finish. That is rare but much appreciated. He was refreshing to work with and I'm grateful. I found Lopez landscaping on Yelp and gave them a call. They came out and gave me an estimate that was comparable to another estimate I had done a few days earlier. Based on the pictures I saw on Yelp of their work and the conversations we had about what I wanted done, I decided to go with them. I could not be happier with the job they did. Jose and his team dug up and removed all of the dead and damaged shrubs and bushes and then cleaned the flower beds and planted new azaleas, hostas, pencil shrubs and other plants. They then mulched all of the beds and cleaned the area. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the results. Anytime you find someone who does a good job at a fair price you continue to use them and recommend them. I highly recommend Lopez Landscaping and will definitely use their services in the future!!

Unfortunately, I called weeks ago several times to ask about cutting down those same trees and got a call back today, three weeks later! The person calling was rude and disrespectful. I was attempting to voice my concerns about the foundation issues when cutting down a tree very close to the house. She spoke harshly stating, " I'm going to hang up because you want let me speak!" I apologized stating I was just trying to explain what I needed and why. She hung up in my face! I called other companies today and they were outstanding. Haley with Davy Trees was so nice and helpful. She listen to my concerns and worked with me and so did Jeff's Tree Service. Both were PROS! Arbor M.D. just didn't measure up on both occasions dealing with them! I will NEVER use them!

I've always had a gutter issue on my front porch. The porch is 40 feet across under a tree, and 20…read morefeet high. I was looking for a permanent solution to prevent leaves/acorns/debris from filling the gutters and having them cleaned 3 times a year for $100 a trip. I called Brent from Leafguard of Memphis for a proposal. He did a complete inspection and gave me 2 options, a screen filter or the guards. I've seen them work at home shows, and guaranteed not to clog. I purchased the guards, and scheduled for the next week. Jon and his assistant Ray came out to install. I thought it was great that they fabricated the gutter to the exact size of the porch on site. One continuous piece; no joints to leak down the road. They also installed 2 downspouts. They were very professional and cleaned up after they were through, including hauling away the old gutter. It's been about a month and 3-4 good rains, and I can't say enough as to how well they perform. My flower beds don't fill with water from clogged gutters, leaves just fall off the roof. And they look so much better than what I had. Definitely adds curb appeal. In short, you get what you pay for, and this was money well spent.

Everyone is very friendly. Full Pallet = $100. 1/2 Pallet = $60. This price beats the bundles I've been getting from the grocery stores. I purchased a full pallet (loaded quickly on my truck) & I ended up sharing much of it with friends. The oak wood burned nicely -VERY HOT & LONG! If I were picky, I'd have 2 gripes: * Firewood is ~19" long (My wood burning stove is 18" inside -so I had to cut some or insert diagonally -not ideal). * Their office is open for firewood pickup only M-F until 04:00pm & they tell me that they no longer deliver. But I was able to sneak away from work to pickup & the wood is great! (My friends think so too!)

Second quote was a professional company that markets either by the Val-park or monthly coupon magazine (can't remember which) and their guy said the tree was just too big and needed to come down. They offered a price for trimming and haul away, but it was $1000 more than woodland. The comparably higher price and convincing story about cutting the tree down caused me to pause and have a follow up call with JD. He was pretty patient walking through his logic which started with, "it's a healthy tree with zero evidence of infestation of rot". He then explained how there was a need for a lot of 'cleaning out' of the canopy where main branches grew secondary limbs that had more growth and then dozens of smaller branches. "Air can't flow through, and that's what we'll do". The quote was well done, they arrived on time when promised, and cleaned up very well.
