This was over 4 weeks ago and no one has come back or addressed this issue. It is my understanding they have had some turnover of employees which I understand but communication is a must for customer service. I am not sure what has taken place with Ray Baker, but it is time I move on to a more reliable company. Do not use Tim Ferguson for any Generac/Generator servicing. Used them for a general service and…read moretake care of a simple error code. The tech changed the oil and serviced the generator but did it before fixing the error and then proceeded to not be able to clear the error. Therefore the oil couldn't cycle through to prevent further damage because the engine wouldn't crank. Supposedly the service manager couldn't troubleshoot either or they just wanted to charge me $200/hr for diagnostics and the error which they thought was the control board. I do not know if they didn't know how to fix or if they just wanted to charge me more money. Simple google search said change the battery and I did that myself and generator cranked and no issues. Was trying to find a reputable company so I don't have to maintain it myself but Tim Ferguson is not that company. Very disappointing given their supposedly good reputation.

After the install of the shower…read moredoor, one of his guys touched the silicon drying on the glass, then touched the freshly painted short wall top. silicon and wet oil based paint dont mix well. Not knowing this was Fast Lane's guys, I asked them to replace a water heater, and ac ducting across the attic because there was a crushed run. In the process they crushed another run. I dont blame them its near impossible to get to the other side of the house without stepping on something. After the work, they failed to tell me the shattered a 5-6 foot tube light that was in the attic. If they had just told me they did it, it would be fine, I would of know not to walk bare foot down the hall. They picked up the end prong pieces so all that was left was the glass, there's no way they didnt know it happened. Thinking I could count on them, I called them to estimate fixing the crushed duct as it was blowing into the attic instead of in the laundry room. They came, looked around said they would get an estimate to me, and I owe $75 for them to come and estimate the job. They never mentioned there was a cost to look at it. I had to call the next day and they said "worse case its $1,500" noting itemized, just a rough guess and "I have to cover my costs and I really dont know whats back there and what it will take" I asked what I paid $75 for if they werent going to estimate it? I thought it was suppose to be an estimate not a guestimate I paid for. They should of climbed back there so they could see what the job would take, I paid for them to do that. Jim offered me the $75 back and I accepted, its been a week and 4 phone calls and he still hasnt returned the guestimate fee. They are clearly avoiding me. Another HVAC company came out the same day (in 1 hour) and quoted less than half $680 (that's half when including $75 fast lane's estimate fee) and they actually climbed back to see what was needed. Said it will take 1 hour maybe 2. I wont name the other company because I want this review to be genuinely about fast lane. This other company came out this morning at 8:15 am and was done at 9:07 am. Even told me that they didn't need as much ducting as they though, so it will be less than they quoted. See pic attached. The guys at fast lane seem nice and all but its pretty clear the experience I've had is not likely one anyone would like. By posting this review I'm sure I wont get the $75 back but hopefully it costs them more from anyone that reads this. Maybe change the approach, I wasn't focused on a cheaper price, I was wanting someone I could trust and I would have spent $1,500 if you had given me a better feel. Just because the weather is hot and they are a Heating and Air and plumbing company doesn't mean they are good. Look around.
