Intercity Lines was fantastic! As luck would have it, I found my perfect car across the country in California. After buying it, the dealer recommended another transport company for moving my car, but after waiting through almost of month's worth of them not picking up my car, I did some research about alternatives. Intercity Lines quickly rose to the top. I contacted their Operations Manager, Jeff, on a Thursday about mid-day and we agreed on a price (it was even slightly lower than the other company that never picked up my car). He said they'd be able to pick up my new car over the weekend or by Monday at the latest. The Intercity Lines team, Ron and Karen, actually picked up my car the very next day. I was told it would take 7-10 days from California to South Carolina, but my car was delivered safely to my house 4 1/2 days later. I was really nervous about the shipping process and damage to my car (this is the first time I've had a car shipped), but Intercity Lines' professionalism put all my fears to rest. Worth the wait! Shipped a 1967 Camaro from Reno to Denver and had trouble finding a transport company to get to Reno in a reasonable amount of time. Waited a couple of weeks for InterCity to pick up and my car was delivered within 48 hours. Same truck and driver delivered the car. These Guys Are the One!!! Trust me! Review: I read many horror stories about the various transport companies you can find online. After reading positive review after positive review about Intercity I requested a quote. It was higher than I expected but I believe you get what you pay for and I would rather pay a little extra to someone I can trust with my mint condition drop top 64 Impala than take any chances trying to save a measly couple hundred bucks. These guys were stone cold professionals. From the moment I first spoke to Roy to get a quote these guys made me feel like I was in safe hands. You could tell they are on top of their game. They stayed in contact with me every day throughout the entire process and actually showed up 3-4 days ahead of schedule!! I had to scramble around on a Sunday morning to pull out the cash payment for the driver but that was actually good news and not a bad thing. The driver was friendly, professional and called me several times during transport. The delivery was smooth and right to my doorstep. I could not be happier. I read some good reviews about Intercity Lines so wanted to have them ship my Porsche Macan from Maryland to Washington. I patiently called them every week for a month and a half and they couldn't tell me if they would have a truck going out there or not. How disorganized. I don't know how they run a business running everything so last minute. Finally a rude woman named Mickey calls me and leaves me a message saying they are available to pick up my car in two days. It's not rocket science- doing a cross country move requires planning and they are inconsiderate of your time. I call her back and tell her nicely that I had to go with another company due to timing and she rudely hangs up the phone before I can even say thank you and goodbye. This company gets 1 star because they need to train their employees like Mickey to have some decency. (I went with Angel Moving Autos instead and they were awesome! The driver picked up the car from CA, went over with a fine tooth comb and then reported to me every step of the way. Fabulous company. This was my 2nd time using Intercity for x-country car moves. This time I dropped 2 cars in Brookfield, MA and my wife and I headed for CA in a rented moving truck. Just as we arrived in CA we heard from Joe & Linda Mayhan that they had our cars and would see us in about 5 days. Joe kept in contact along the way giving us updates. We met at a large parking lot -- they pulled in during the night. Both cars were in pristine shape. Intercity does not sub-contract so the driver is their employee and the truck is fully enclosed so no stone chips. I highly recommend Intercity for shipping your car -- safe, secure, and they keep you informed during the entire process. this is the 2nd time i used intercity. what i like about intercity is their communication--both the company and the driver (we had Matt --don't know his last name but he lives in Florida and has a summer house in W. VA). we told intercity the earliest they could pick up the car in Park City was a Thursday in August. Matt called on Sunday and said he was in the area, could he pick up the car on Tuesday. Because we had nobody to receive the car in Seattle until that week Friday, we told him the earliest was still Thursday. I know this meant he would sit idle for 2 days (that costs him money), but he was very respectful of our decision. He stayed in touch during the week and was there promptly on Thursday morning. he then looked over the cars, making note of dents, dings, etc. (wow I did not know how many imperfections I had, but he was spot on). he treated my cars like they were his--very gingerly. after he took off, he was immediately in touch with my son in law in Seattle. he must have called him at least 5 times during his travel to make sure he met delivery expectations. as promised, the cars arrived Saturday morning--in immaculate condition. Matt was polite, honest, timely, professional--he was caring for my "baby--87 Porsche 911". Thanks Matt and Intercity. After reading online countless stories (many of them horror stories) about car shipping and reviews of car shippers, I went with Intercity because its name kept popping up in positive reviews and happy stories of satisfied customers. Now I can count myself as one of those satisfied customers. To start, their quote was significantly lower than the other two seemingly comparable high-quality enclosed-truck car shippers. But the big reason to use Intercity is the unbeatable quality of the service they provide. The people in customer service were outstanding. Jim, who coordinated the quote and details of the shipment, was responsive as can be to various emails I sent him about the move. Sharon was great, kept in contact with me during the move, and followed up after the move. Worst Service Ever. I have been waiting 5 weeks for them to pick up a car and it still sits waiting, AT first the quote was 2 weeks, then 3, now it's been 5 weeks and we are still waiting. Now they claim the delay is because of bad weather, but earlier in the week the truck was broken down. The representative at Intercity actually told me they didn't know the schedule of the driver. I own a 2014 Bentley GTC which I purchased in Florida in April 2014. I hired Intercity Lines to transport my car from my home in Naples Florida to my home in New York. When they picked up the car it only had 97 miles on it. When they delivered the car to me in New York the passenger side mirror had two gouges in it. They just picked up the car in New York last week to deliver it back to Florida. My wife flew down to Florida to accept delivery. When the driver was backing the car out of the trailer he scraped the front wheel against the side of the ramp destroying the wheel. I will never use them again. I gave them two opportunities and both times they damaged my brand new Bentley. read more

I purchased a BMW from a dealer in CA and because of taxes, needed to have it shipped to me in CO. I read a ton of reviews on different sites. Intercity Lines was recommended by a number of members on the Bimmerforums. Thier quote was right in line with other enclosed transport options, but they were a carrier. After talking with Jim, I felt very confident with choosing Intercity Lines. My car was picked up within 2 business days of availability. The driver, Andy, was very courtious and professional. He did a great job of keeping me informed. I would have loved it delivered to my door, but there was no way he could have got the truck into our cul-de-sac. We met at a retail parking lot at the appointed time, which i had to delay an hour, so the car was already unloaded. Andy had put plastic on the seat and a paper mat on the floor to protect the interior. The car was in perfect shape! One final note. After seeing Intercity Lines ship vehicles for Wayne Carini on Chasing Classic Cars, I went to their website for additional information. I was pleased to note this was not a broker and that they had their own fleet of trucks and trailers. The testimonial given by Jay Leno also gave me the assurance that they would do an excellent job in the shipping of my two classic Mustangs from Corona, Ca. to Carmel, In. From the time I placed the order to deliver to my home in Carmel, the 7 days far exceeded my expectations. Roy did a great job in the office when I placed the order, and the driver, Warren, kept me well informed along his travels, keeping me informed of where he was at, and when he would be delivering the vehicles. The transporter was clean and the vehicles were secured by tire straps and covered for added protection as shown in their video. Warren was meticulous in his work and carefully unloaded both vehicles and drove them from the truck into my garage. I found the charges to be reasonable, given the service and peace of mind they provided, and would certainly use them again the next time I ship a vehicle. Communication on pick up and car delivery was not what I would expect for a company that is supposed to be one of the best! Car was delivered damaged to a storage location prior to me being able to pick it up and drive it to Canada. The storage place was not aware of the damage as they had never seen the car. Leaving me with a damaged car and looking for a new grille that are NLA, and having paint work to be done in the near future now. Claims department said it was signed for and that they called to confirm that everything was good, so basically tough luck! Nobody called me, and I was paying for the shipment and owner of the car. Wold not recommend or use again, and when I told complaint this they said ok have a nice day ! No attempt to make the customer happy. Be careful if you use them and make sure you are there at delivery and take pictures before and when unloading or they will stiff you as well. read more
