Literally can't wait to come back. Everything from the 'botones' in the entrance to the servers, grounds staff, pool area employees, restaurants, SPA (Margarita was her name), and the wonderful staff who knock on our door every afternoon to hand deliver bottles of fresh drinking water just because they are that good of hostesses. We are impressed with the resort, its staff, the food and the service.

It's really a shame that I have to leave a two-star review for this hotel. As Diamond/Spire members at IHG, we've stayed at hotels all over the world and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our stay at this hotel. First of all, it's worth noting that the hotel is currently undergoing either construction or renovations, which was evident from the strong paint smell in our first room at the end of the hallway on the first floor. When we returned to Cancun at the end of our trip and were assigned a room deeper into the hallway right next to the renovations, the paint smell was so overpowering that we could barely breathe. We tried opening the windows to let in some fresh air, but the chemical smells were so strong that we were actually choking. We asked the front desk for help and were disappointed by their lack of concern and their reluctance to relocate us. As IHG members, we generally expect more from the brand, especially when they recognize our status, which didn't seem to be the case during this stay. It took a lot of complaining before we were finally moved, and we even had to be moved again since they originally wanted us to just move a few rooms down into a dirty room with a dirty coffee maker and sink, along with askew paintings and stuff on the ground. In our opinion, the entire floor should have been shut down due to the hazardous conditions. On the plus side, the location of the hotel is decent, and there's valet parking available. The lobby is nice, and the pools are excellent. The restaurants are okay, though somewhat pricey. All in all, it's a shame that our experience at this hotel was marred by such callousness and disregard for our health and safety, not to mention the dirty room we were initially offered as an alternative.

We only stayed at this hotel for the night, but our one night stay was so relaxing it made us wish we have stayed here longer. The private beach area is phenomenal, plenty of seating, beautiful views, and only occasional vendors. The service from the staff was great, it was prompt and very customer focused. We did not dine at this hotel, we just stayed here for the night and enjoyed it the beach area. Everything was clean, from our room, to every space we discovered on sight. Overall we had a great stay.

My wife and I are very impressed with IHG presidente and their entire staff! 10/10 for everything. We travel to different resorts around the world and this place has it all. The prices are a good value for how much you get to enjoy here. The beach and the view are one of a kind and perfect. They clean the sargassum very well, there is a lot of sand and no rocks. The water is just as clear as the pictures. The restaurants offer a large variety of options and everything we ate is delicious. You can experience the dishes of the region as well. El caribeno is our favorite. Every dish was delicious and the service is amazing. My favorite is the whole fried fish and the cochinita pibil. Hard to pick a favorite though, there is so much variety it would be unfair to compare different dishes or pick favorites. The rooms are very clean and the view is amazing. We hope to return here next year (hopefully sooner) to IHG. I highly recommend it to travelers looking to pick from the many hotels in this region.

View from the room

The hotel is in a good location as it's at the upper end of the hotel zone. We were in a club level room and it was worth the upgrade. The view is amazing (somehow no mosquitos), room was large and comfortable, and access to breakfast and happy hour kept us fed. The ocean access was wonderful as you can go snorkeling and it felt safe. The pool water was warm the entire time we were there so don't think you can cool off in it. Had a message at the Ikal Spa and it was just ok. The spa lounge had a hot tub but no cold plunge. The bathroom was bare necessities and it was better just to shower back at the room.

This resort is fantastic! We stayed a week, club intercontinental is the way to go. Breakfast bar with omelette station and fresh pressed juices perfect! Happy hour had great nibbles and drinks. The beach is amazing and plenty of space to spread out. The pools are super clean and large, never felt crowded. Now the staff! They are exceptional! Ricardo and Miriam at the deck bar took such good care of us. Drinks on point and always ready to help with anything, felt cared for. We moved from the adult pool to the beach and they always knew where we were and met our wants and needs. We dined at Le Cap a few times, great food and options! Mariano and Guillermo took great care of us! Such thoughtful crew and always ready to help. They keep it shipshape too. During the day if we were at the adult pool, Ruben and the ladies there at le cap cafe kept us in cocktails and water! Now in the lobby bar, we had great cocktails and nightcaps. Air conditioning was so refreshing . Happy hour bartenders were great! Always trying to help us with our Espanol, the wine wasn't that great, but they can make you almost any cocktail! Our room was beautiful overlooking the ocean and the pools. The housekeepers were fast and always kept us in water and towels and after sun gel. Turndown service is lovely. The ground crews are amazing and always busy and quick to smile and greet you. They keep the outside immaculate! The restaurant the Caribeno was great authentic foods and Raymundo took great care of us and always greeted us if he saw us around. Sure cocktails and food at the restaurants are a little pricey just like being at home, it's not inclusive and we knew that. The breakfast and happy hour has so much food you do save there. It is a wonderful laid back resort, great for romantic couples and families. This is off season, so it gets a lot busier during summer. I'm sure I've left out some tremendous people who helped create a wonderful relaxing vacation for us, I just hope they know how much we appreciated everyone.

First time going to Cancun and didn't want to stay in an all inclusive resort because I wanted to explore. I loved that it worked just like a hotel. They did have a resort fee but that it was reasonable not like Vegas!! The beach was amazing!! Beautiful white sand, clear water, and perfect bar location. The staff were amazing!! The check in was easy so was the checking out. Their travel/ excursion desk were super helpful and made booking easy and trust me it can get overwhelming when you go and try to do it all on your own. Loved how clean and beautiful everything looked from the lobby to the room. I would definitely stay here again. Yes there is a damp smell to it but what can you expect when humidity is from 85-100%!! But the bedding, towels and everything was clean and smelled fresh. The views, the beach, the staff, the convenience of having a bus stop and a convenience store around the corner was perfect!

We visited during Covid, safety precautions were in place a temperature check was done upon arrival and a questionnaire was filled out. Hotel they say was only 30% capacity which seemed correct as there were not very many people around. All the staff wore masks at all times. Guests needed to wear a mask in certain areas Most guest complied indoors, there were a few times that I did encounter guest without mask particularly on the elevators. Once outside you could take your mask off. The room was comfortable we were spire members and we were upgraded to a lagoon view but it did have two queen beds they did not automatically upgrade us because we had originally asked for a king bed but the king bed had no view at all and was on the very first floor, so we did take the upgrade for no charge to the fifth floor with a lagoon view. I actually like this for you because you could get the sunrise and the sunset and it was a more active year with the buildings in the background. The beds were comfortable I had no complaints there it was actually nice to have two queen beds because we got alot more pillows. The bathroom had a very nice shower with a rainfall showerhead and a handle which was very nice. The minibar, is empty because of Covid right now so you can actually use that for your own personal use which was great. We had taken some of our own beverages. There is still daily housekeeping in these rooms also which was a pleasant surprise. The beach is simply amazing for the area it has a pretty large beach and plenty of shade and Bali beds that you can " rent" They have a total of four and I would say don't go for bed number one bed number two is probably the best, which is what we had. The deal is you pay $140 of food and beverages throughout the day for the bed. You have it from nine until 6 PM we were out from 9 AM till about five 530 each day we did it for two days in a row. We initially thought it would be hard to spend $140 in food and beverage but,The one day we got breakfast and then kind of spaced out our meals throughout the day and our drinks and we were able to make the 3000 peso requirement each day. The food and beverage prices are rather reasonable for a three day weekend we spent about $500, which I don't think was very bad for two people that didn't really hold back on drinks or food. We eat at the various restaurants throughout our stay that are on the property and we did not have one thing that we didn't like. The guacamole and the jumbo shrimp cocktail were probably our favorites. Drinks Did seem a little low on the alcohol content but that necessarily wasn't a bad thing. Elezar was our server on the beach and he kept us very happy throughout Saturday and Sunday The pools were very nice we did not get in the one pole that seem to be like an adult Pool They do have cabanas back there as well that you can rent. They have a deck bar with cute little swings. I was very happy with all the service at the hotel. Everyone was nice and attentive It was also good to see that they have plans in place for hurricanes. We were updated via letters in our doors as to an impending hurricane. They evidently do not evacuate until a cat three, hurricane zeta was coming but only a cat one they removed all of the beach furniture and anything that pretty much wasn't nailed down on the night before. We were leaving out the next day so thankfully we did not have to witness anything but it was good to know that they have plans. This is a great resort if you want to try Cancun for a first time. It's not an all inclusive but it certainly still can I have a feel of it and it has the most amazing beach and wonderful staff. I got my boyfriend to finally go and he had an amazing time.

Beautiful resort! Location: This resort is fairly priced, 20 minute drive from the airport, 15 minute walk from Hotel Zona(where you will want to go everyday), and has a local(Sea Bus) stop right in front(this only costs you $1USD to ride the strip to one end. Room: The rooms are beautiful. Both sides offer a great view. If you have an even number then you have the view of the beach. If you have and odd room number then you have a view of the city. The walk in showers were nothing short of amazing! The water gets super hot and I loved it. The room had robes, mini fridge and slippers. Every night they come by and drop off chocolate mints with a goodnight card which is cute. Excursions: The excursions that were offered at the resort were doubled the prices so it was more feasible to outsource ex. Expedia and Airbnb (yes they will pick you up from the resort). Beach/Pool/Restaurants: Beach is so beautiful and peaceful. The sand is super soft. There are watersports available which are fairly priced. The cabana's are available for rent 9am-6pm(after 6 its free to use). The drinks are fairly priced as well. There are two pools and four whirlpools , but no jacuzzi :( Restaurants offered great food and one restaurant offers dinner on the beach which is beautiful. Definitely recommend this place!

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

Of course. I only added Eddie into the service section and left everything else the same…read more I have gone back and forth on writing this review because there are so many things this resort does well, but overall my experience did not quite match the expectations I had from previous Hyatt stays. This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

Marie, Frank and America = the ultimate trio butlers to have during your stay…read moreWe ran into Marie more often and absolutely just loved her warmth and hospitality Everything here is everything you need. From beautiful sunrise to sunset, it's a must come. Mercado Buffet - (as pictured) the woman who was there everyday when I was there, was the bomb! Made tacos so promptly and they were so yummy. Definitely I looked forward to every morning! Habanero - Rafael M., we saw him on our last day. But never have I ever seen anyone so hard in such hot weather and be grateful to meet, greet, serve so many people and still put a smile on his face. If we went the beginning of our trip, I don't doubt we would have been there every single day because of him! The Spa - CESAR! Sofia and Sara are the people you need to cross paths. Cesar is the one who got us in. Never did he rush us, he wanted us to enjoy our time at the pool and he circled back with kindness. And that's the only reason why we committed to the spa! Sofia and Sara were our people at the Spa, and boy did they put in work! I felt so relaxed and decompressed at the end of our trip because of them!!! Tradewinds - Araceli, the one who made our last day special. I told her it was our last day, and she brought the whole staff to sing and had us wear a big sombrero! It was so heartwarming and it made my heart sink, and did not make me want to leave!! The French restaurant is also a must! Loved the potato leek soup and the lamb rack. The Italian restaurant had amazing cheese mushroom pizza! I've been to Hyatt Los Cabo's, and the one thing Cancun didn't have was to go boxes due to regulations. The dolphins are such a cute thing to wake up to and was such a nice thing to do for family and people! We stayed at the Turquoise building. Loved the bath outside the room! It was my birthday, and my boyfriend and the staff really made it beyond special. From roses to balloons, to cards, to the simplest reminder of all them knowing it was my birthday and wishing me the best. You will hear a lot of, welcome family or hi family. And by the end of the trip, you will really feel that they really did become your family. 100/100 recommend this place!!!

Check in with Diego was a breeze. Although they did not offer us an upgrade, which could have been possible through our credit card partnership, he did let us pick a room from what was available. We picked 5044. The view was good, not a full ocean view but we did have a partial ocean view. The hotel and room were very clean. The staff was very attentive and anticipated our needs. I was very please with the hotel. It exceeded my expectations. If I ever return to Cancun, I would stay here again.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

The entire hotel is illuminated with L.E.D.'s. The space is immaculate. It was 1/4 mile from the room to the lobby. The ballrooms and convention spaces are like a stadium. (Indoors or outdoors). The public bus arrives every (2) minutes and are often full. It is approximately .50 US to go 30 miles downtown. Just looking at the creative ideas a child could write a book . "This ain't Tijuana". The malls and beaches are protected by federal soldiers and the streets have checkpoints every mile. They obtain your information and destination. If something is off a militia is on alert. Every single person that works at this property is out of this world! Kind, helpful and always going above and beyond to make things memorable! We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Easy drive from the airport and to the downtown or for departure to Isla Mujeres. We did not go to the island this time but last time we booked everything through the hotel and they made it super easy.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. We arrived early, 7:30AM and our private transportation picked us up after about 15-20 minutes after arriving. After a quick drive to the resort, we checked in. No welcome towel service nor welcome drink, but we received a warm neck wrap. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready until 11:30AM, so we walked around to explore the property and have breakfast. We received a text message from the lobby that our room was ready and to return to the front desk. We were told our room number and that our luggage would be delivered shortly. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean, clean, stocked with snacks and drinks ,and over all nice. We unpacked ourselves and headed to the pool. While we were on the way, we met our butler who's desk is located in the hallway of the elevators. At that time we were connected to a WhatsApp group text. Then we returned to our room with our butler, who reviewed the amenities and light switches in our room. We ate at all the restaurants. We went to Blanc and Terraza for breakfast and our 2 favorite restaurants for dinner were Bella and Yama. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, Terraza and Yama served us cold food, as if they were sitting out too long. We tried scheduling room service breakfast and they were behind in schedule 30-40 minutes. We were underwhelmed as the room service menu as it wasn't as grand as the other palace resorts; we were looking forward to the chocolate cake; which wasn't available. The K'akau, coffee shop was the best to relieve our chocolate cravings. The main pool lounge chairs were always taken, so get there early. We relaxed at all the pools and depending on the day had our favorite. The beach is beautiful and the lifeguard at the tower was always welcoming and helpful to get us lounge chairs. The spa services and hydrotherapy were wonderful, but we were disappointed that the men and women were separated in the pool and jacuzzi areas. We ran into difficulties with our dinner and spa bookings. We made prior arrangements with our pre-concierge, but when we wanted to change our schedule, the on site concierge didn't have access to canceling them. We were told to email our pre-concierge to ask her to delete them from the system. Our pre-concierge also didn't confirm our restaurant bookings for certain days and so we had to ask our Butler if they were booked. What was the most disappointing was the evening entertainment. We were looking forward to certain shows/performances and then a few hours before the scheduled time, seeing the entertainment was removed and replaced with something mundane. We've been to Sun Palace, another adult only resort, down the road and after our experience at Le Blanc, we actually prefer Sun Palace over Le Blanc. From our experience.. Le Blanc is a great place if you enjoy the spa, peace and quiet, and want to just chill and lounge. But if you want a little more excitement, fun, music, and meet people and have great conversations, Sun Palace is the place. Our Butler, Rene on the 3rd floor was awesome. He made our anniversary special. Safety: We felt safe. When we arrived at the resort after walking down the hotel zone, security always checked us in. When we arrived via taxi or uber, they did the same thing. If you walked out to the beach, you have to scan your bracelet to exit the gate and also scan it the when you enter back onto the resort property. Elevators: There are 3 elevators and during our stay, 1 was always out of order. One day, 2 elevators were out of order. Luckily, we were only on the 3rd floor, so we often took the stairs. The stairwell does need more lighting, it is dark, so watch your step.

We arrived late and asked for bottled water, and were told to just drink the sink water... in Mexico. That alone set the tone. I also repeatedly emailed our concierge for assistance and received no response whatsoever. Our room smelled like mold, and the sheets were damp. Housekeeping replaced them, but the odor and overall condition never improved. Not what you expect at this level. Then it got worse. We had two rooms, one at this hotel and one at a neighboring hotel where a large group of our family was staying. That other hotel requires wristbands, which we had, so security here assumed we didn't belong, even though we had rooms at this property. At the pool, they approached us publicly and repeatedly questioned us, over and over, in front of everyone. No attempt to verify privately, no discretion, just standing over us and making a scene. It was humiliating. Then it happened again. While checking out, we crossed back onto this property to retrieve our luggage that they were holding. Security stopped us again and treated us like we were doing something wrong, only to confirm, once again, that we were legitimate guests. Two separate incidents. Same behavior. The level of aggression and lack of professionalism from security is completely out of control. This is not how paying guests should ever be treated. This wasn't just a misunderstanding, it was a failure in how guests are handled, and it happened more than once. We will never stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand.
