Okay so I pulled up to the fly through in my Identified Flying Object (as usual), and I ordered a signature intergalactic style taco with 2 SATURN SAUCES (remember that number). I paid, flew out, and left. When I got home, I noticed the bag was a little heavy... I opened up my bag to reveal my taco (which was bad anyway), but to my surprise... I HAD 92737282 Saturn Sauces.. I DONT NEED THAT MANY! Plus, they charged me for each and every one! "This is ridiculous", I thought... little did I know it was about to get MUCH worse. I had a closer look at what I thought was packets of Saturn Sauce... until I opened my eye (yes, one eye)... and read the fine print, it read "WARNING: Consumption of Jupiter Juice may cause harm" I then looked at the big text in front just to see... THEY GAVE ME JUPITER JUICE! Puke erupted from every single open pore on my body, I could not stop throwing up! I kept throwing up for approximately 817382.1938 light years. Lesson Learnt... Wait, how does Intergalactic Tacos only have a few reviews?? This is probably my favorite food truck in Richmond. Granted, I've only lived down here for six months, but I have tried a nice mix of the local truck grub thus far and this one stands out as stellar. I chose one of their spacebox combo meals last month. It was a frigid cold day, but they were parked outside of the plaza and I was craving tacos. Fortunately, it didn't take too long for my chicken taco/pork taco/chips-and-salsa box of goodness to be ready. I scarfed the contents down fairly quickly because they were darn good. Even their special sauce side was delicious. You'll often find them at Riverfront Plaza or at one of the breweries, such as Veil. I imagine their schedule is listed online. Just writing this review made me crave their tacos. Guess I need to seek them out again soon! read more

Good tacos! Had them at Center of the Universe Brewery in Ashland. Of course, pairs well with beer. Well-seasoned meat, not dried out and they don't skimp on taco filling. Definitely would try them again. Their beef barbacoa taco really stood out. read more

Track them down wherever Taco1 lands and enjoy. Have eaten here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed, well once when they didn't have jalapeños. Everything is super fresh and made quickly, even when the line is crazy. I really like the space-dila with chicken & pickled jalapeños!! I made plans to go out to Star Hill brewery 2/24 ONLY to get food from the truck. They were running a Taco Bell pop up special. The food was good. The service, or the person taking orders, was not. They were very curt and acted annoyed with us asking questions not only when we were ordering, but when we received the food as well. We ordered 3 chicken crunch-wraps. When we got our food and took it inside, one of the crunch-wraps was pork and we didn't even want to take it back because the person working the window was so rude. I was incredibly disappointed about the experience because I had heard such good things and raved about the truck to my friends. A few of our friends arrived later and had a similar experience with the service. So picture this, if you will. I'm walking down through Shockoe, minding my business, when out of nowhere I was sucker punched by the fragrance of delight. I followed my nose quickly to find this silver behemoth nestled deep in the trenches of cobblestone and brick. Inside the truck I saw the most handsome man ever taking orders and telling people nice things. He smiled, winked, and whinnied like a horse at me when I walked past to get at the end of the line. The line wrapped around the building for what seemed like miles and miles, but as quickly as you could say the words "Carnita Bonita", this dude whipped up the orders like a hurricane of literary madness. Charles Dickens take note! So I'm up there, I order this "space box" which comes with two tacos of MY choice, chips and SALSA. I give the dude the money, he gives me the biggest smile I've ever seen. I wait for a mere thirty seconds or so and this gigantic box of delicious steaming tacos rockets out on the outstretched arm of this handsome taco commander and he belts out " IS THERE A YETI TAMER IN LINE"? OMFG my heart melted. Heck yes there's a yeti tamer in line and he's running furiously to the window. I dive, catch the box, give one small kiss to each person on the truck in a millisecond and I gallop off into the sunset to eat my feast. I get back to my office after galloping for what felt like a marathon. I kept wanting to peek inside the space box, but I knew if I did I'd have to sit on the sidewalk and eat it right then and there. So I finally make it back to the cube, ya know the one with very little art or pizazz and I crack open this bad mamajama. OH. MY. GOD. Are you kidding me?? The entire office came to my cube when they smelled these tacos. My coworkers kept yelling and cursing because they were so tightly gathered around my cube to catch a mere glance at these handmade masterpieces. After the chaos and dust settled, I took a deep breath, one( or several) photos of this feast and I got ready to do work. Mind you, I got one taco with beer can chicken, and one with carnitas. Pickled red onions. Fresh cilantro, hand trimmed lettuce, fresh lime, ROCKET SAUCE. These things were loaded to the brim with fresh ingredients and sauce. I reached in for the first taco (Chicken) and I took one bite. ONE BITE. I screamed so loud my mom called me immediately to check on me. For real. She did call but I ignored it because I'm eating tacos, mom. Jeez let me be me. Two bites in and I've cried four times. My coworkers have all left work for the day to get their own tacos. If they don't get these tacos I'll quit. I'll quit this job right now. Okay okay too many tangents and unimportant BS. I keep eating and crying out tears of joy and I finally finish this chicken delight wrapped in corn and amazingness. I take another deep breath and I warp into another galaxy. THIS CARNITAS TACO GOT ME LIKE.... I'm serious ya'll. When that tomatillo hit these lips I did a backflip in my chair and landed it. I keep chewing and I keep wondering what even is life. How is flavor like this possible. Is this real? Must I pinch myself. So I reach into my desk drawer and get a top and spin it up and sure enough I am in real life(thanks to Inception) and I channel this energy into everything else that I plan to do in life. This taco gave me a five-year plan. It contributed to my 401k. It massaged me. It became a great friend. We laughed and laughed but then it struck me like a lightening bolt covered in oven mitts... I am one bite away from completely finishing this lunch. I'm one bite away from the end of my life, or so it seems... I take that last bite and slowly the ecstasy settles enough for me to realize I've been breathing all weird and doing weird shit for the last 7 minutes in the cube and nobody actually left the office so they've seen all of this and heard all of this. So for now friends, all I can say is if you've ever wanted to try heroin, hard drugs, booze, or gambling, DON'T. Just grab some tacos from the Intergalactic Taco truck because you'll drunk with bliss and you too can have a taco give you a 401k. Peace. 10/10. read more

This is one of my favorite trucks that I always go to when it comes to where I work. I'm honestly disappointed. I have a deep love for tacos and this place was just subpar. The mushrooms tacos were pretty bleh. Maybe if they smoked the mushrooms or maybe soaked them in some type of sauce there would be some better flavor. The chips were really good, I think they might have been cooked by them which is awesome. The salsa that came with the chips was subpar. Not a bad thing on the menu! I've been a few times and tried different items and haven't been disappointed one bit. The flavor that comes out of this truck is out of bounds. From his sauces and entrees all the way down to his tortilla chips themselves... which could possibly be the BEST chip I've ever had. This is one of my favorite food trucks that stops by near my job. The space box is your best bet ! The chips are made perfectly crispy and salty and the tacos are flavorful. One of my favorite, if not my favorite, Taco trucks. Delicious meats, good portion, chips and guacamole are great. The two homemade sauces are wonderful, but be careful, they're hot. I've seen the Intergalactic Tacos truck at Ardent brewery and at the South of the James farmers' market and finally decided to try it today. They've been around for a while so I was surprised to see that they haven't gotten any love on Yelp! I love tacos and these are good tacos. They're simple too, with just a few ingredients and nothing wacky. Pairs well with beer. There are five items on the menu: 4 tacos and a Space-a-dilla quesadilla. I ordered the crimini mushroom and the beer can chicken. The mushroom was good, but the beer can chicken was truly out of this world (haha, get it??). It was juicy and not too greasy, with a little bit of char. Next time I'll try the chicken skin and the steak. All of the tacos come with Jack cheese and rocket sauce (aka spicy sour cream) so you can mix them without confusing your taste buds.
