Hands down my favorite spot for tacos. A little sketchy at first glance, but this place doesn't not disappoint. They make their own corn tortillas the steak is awesome, the chicken is bangin, barbacoa is my favorite but you can't go wrong with your choice. I forgot to take pics of the rest but I did get a pic of the last barbacoa taco I had. Always friendly staff. Lunch time is super busy!

SUCH good food! It is definitely a hole in the wall type place and you won't be disappointed that you made the trip there. Friendly staff, quick services, decent prices. We got the steak burrito and the combo #2 w/steak. 10/10

Ever want tacos and it's not Tuesday? Ok, that was me today. As I decided on a taste, location was important. I was impressed by this little location and the happy customers leaving out. I ordered the 2 chicken tacos with beans and rice. I was in love with fresh corn shells being made. I was enjoying the conversation and watching the food being prepared. The sauce came in mild and hot. I love hot and spicy food but this hot sauce was even fire full for my taste buds. So be mindful of that! I enjoyed a Jarritos Mango drink. This spot seats 20 comfortably so just in case you go at lunch time like me take out is available. The ambiance is set for a quick lunch and it's definitely home felt. So venture over to the Southside and grab a park.... It's worth the bites

This is my favorite little hole in the wall. It may not look like much on the outside or the inside but the food is BUSSIN'!!! These ladies make your food as you wait and everything is authentic. If you like corn tortillas, they will make it fresh when you order. They always have a nice crowd either eating in or a steady stream grabbing takeout. It's worth the drive for me!!!

I have searched far and wide and I can't honestly say these are still the best tacos in all of the city. Don't get caught up in the fact that it's a small place outside of a trailer park. Be not here for the ambience we're here for their flavor and this place provides just that. The tacos the torta and the burritos I mean you can't go wrong here. The fact that this place has slow cookers and crock pots and a flat top grill as its main cooking utensils is top notch. To me that means that the food is actually cooked with love just like Grandma used to make

In town for a swim meet. This was close to our hotel. Great reviews... that all the positive ones were true. This place is delicious. Got a Chorizo Taco and a Steak Burrito. Both were so yummy. Authentic and fresh. The salsas are out of this world. The ladies that took our order and gave us our food were friendly and patient with this non-Spanish speaker. It looks like a hole in the wall, but the food is top notch. Try it out.

Phenomenal taco place! I'm from Los Angeles and love a good taco spot. However being on the east coast it is hard to find traditional tacos that feel like I'm back home. This spot has become a staple for my dad and I whenever I'm driving to and from DC. The food is not only traditional as you would expect in LA but also from Mexico. The rice and beans are full of flavor and the taco meat itself is delicious! We order the carne asada, barbacoa, and chorizo. Everything is extremely lean, full of flavor, and not greasy.

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

We arrived on a Thursday night around 8 o'clock at the ever daunting and strange Brown Box Plaza…read moreparking lot. There are usually spaces available, but it is a confusing parking situation. We were seated in moments of arriving after a brief walk to the door from the parking lot. The atmosphere is authentically Mexican with no shortage of bottle-related wall furnishings or decor. The stairway in the front entrance, the chandelier, and the rafter hangings are among my favorites. Our server was Don (that may be wrong, I didn't get the printed reciept before leaving), who reminded me of a professional linebacker, was soft spoken and attentive. He was there when we needed him, and out of sight when we didn't. I ordered the Empanadas and Sweet Plantains for my entree and my partner opted for the Baja Crunch Burrito. We had been here before, so knew about what to expect from the kitchen. My empanadas were light and fluffy with some delightful flavors and added peppers, compared to other Sysco-style empanadas I have had. With only two small pouches for 10 bucks, I was disappointed. The sweet plantains were cooked to perfection, a little crisp and a little smooth and creamy. Suggestion: the empanadas and plantains would make a great entree for $12-14. The crispy chicken burrito was passable. My partner said, "The rice was slightly crunchy and the burrito was not as hot and tasty as last time." We decidedly went with the churros for dessert. I cannot tell you what they put in them, but I can tell you that every bite was as exquisite as the last. Absolute legend. Our server Ben, Don, whatever your name was, you were excellent. Thank you for providing fantastic service, my fellow sour beer enthusiast. May your tips ever increase. Casa Del Barco has a curated menu, plenty of drink options, and a half-full bar on a Thursday around 9 o'clock. It seems like a great place to go to meet a few people. I know the kitchen probably just had a rough night, and the restaurant will continue to strive for the highest quality food possible; therefore, I continue to recommend Case Del Barco if you enjoy Mexican food.
