My favorite part of the store was the owners dogs! They are the cutest store security I have ever seen. When you enter the store hit the ring button so they can buzz you in so the dogs don't accidentally slip out. The owner was super nice and let me know he was available to help but left me to shop at will. I have been to a lot of gift stores but this is my favorite. They have so many items I have never seen before. I could get something for anyone here including a lot for myself. I have my eye on some things I will be coming back for. However, it makes up for its lack of size by having really good top quality items. Too many other such stores are loaded with 50% or more junk items just hoping for some specialty collector to come along and as a result have been in that inventory for years. Then all of the items at Antiques and Jewelry By the Sea are properly displayed and not cluttered in with all sorts of other items making viewing and identification easy. When I entered I was given a warm greeting and offer of assistance with any item and I did ask a number of questions with regards to some of their items in sterling silver of which they have an exceptional collection. I might also add that the prices they had list were, in my opinion, most reasonable and proper.

They don't have a parking lot but there is metered parking a few steps away around the corner. Make sure you pay. The parking enforcement in this town is relentless. The store is small but crammed in an artful way with beautiful things floor to ceiling. I am not an expert on what things cost, I just kind of go with what I like so as always be educated on what you want to buy. As soon as I stepped in the door I was pleasantly greeted by the owner and then left to browse. Aleksandra was selling some very beautiful furniture, china, art, glassware, collectibles, and jewelry. I loved the display of ceramic dogs. According to Facebook some of it is Aleksandra's items from her travels and some of it is consignment. Although I didn't purchase anything it is a very interesting store to browse.
